Jeff came out to replace out door light fixtures. did a great job. he did this service that was requested the quality of work was great.

Jeff from I-Marq Electric did a fantastic job replacing our old 100 amp panel (with a side panel) and exposed Romex in the unfinished basement with a 200 amp panel and conduit.  He did say the old panels were maybe the worst he had seen for overloading.  He always showed up when he said he would and was here 2 weeks straight.  He even cleaned up afterward.  Good, friendly guy we would highly recommend. read more

Was I fooled by the other 5-star Yelp review! Contacted Imarq on 6/5, asked if there was any availability for the same-day or first thing on 6/6 because we had a time-sensitive issue. Was told "this is just the answering service" and that they would put a call into someone. A few hours later, Jeff returned my call. He was very professional on the phone. I explained to him the work we needed, he quoted me $150 over the phone. We agreed and he said he would do it first thing on 6/6. He asked me to text him my address and info and he would call about an hour before he was on his way. I asked him his approximate time for the AM and he said between 8-9am. On 6/6, I received no call or text from him between 8-9am. I then text him at 9:30am, giving him a little extra time, and I received no response. I then called his "answering service" at 10am and told them the situation, that he was to be at our house first thing on 6/6, etc. The "answering service" said he would let him know. Shortly after that call, I received a text from Jeff. He said that he had an emergency service call and he was going to "head south" and be here before noon. I text him back a short time after said that I understood things come up, and we were fine with before noon (even though it postponed our departure for our trip). About 11:45am on 6/6 Jeff called, said he was stopping at the Frankfort Home Depot and had to pickup supplies for another job and asked if we needed anything. I said we had everything and were all set. He informed me that he then had to go drop off the supplies at the other job, and then would be at our house by 1pm. At that point, I reiterated to him that we needed the job done first thing and that we understood that emergency calls do come up, but we couldn't continue to push the job back. I reminded him that the work was likely under an hour of work and asked if he could drop off the supplies for the other job after he got done, since he was right down the street. He said he wouldn't. He said, let's just forget it. The $150 job isn't worth it. I told him it wasn't about the money and that we just needed the work done, that he said he would do. He then hung up on me. I then called the "answering service" and as you could probably have guessed, they didn't answer my call. Throughout the whole thing, I believe I was beyond reasonable with Jeff. I am beyond thrilled with Jeff and I-Marq! For background, my husband and I hired an electrician back in September to check out a few issues that we were experiencing. Well, we thought he was electrician! Turns out, he was a scammer. He told us we needed to upgrade our panel, add an additional panel and rewire our entire house. He started the work without issues. However, he stopped showing up and would give us sob stories such as "my wife left me" or "my family's restaurant burnt down". He made empty promises, took our money and stopped returning calls. A week ago, my husband called I-Marq. Jeff came and looked at our house and saw a mess that the last yahoo left. He provided a reasonable quote and said he would be available starting Monday to tackle the job. Monday didn't work for us so we asked for him to start Tuesday. It is now Thursday, and Jeff has completed the job in its entirety! He was courteous, professional, and very thorough. I cannot say enough good things about I-Marq and we will be using them from ALL of our future needs. Thank you I-Marq!! Warning- unreliable and may ruin any time sensitive projects. I hate to go on here and complain but this company put my small business in such a bad situation that I wanted to make sure anybody with a time sensitive project be warned. Husband and I are trying to open a business and hired Imarq for an $800 project. They came out and said special order material was needed and could do next day. I told them it wasn't a rush as long as they could do it by the following Thursday because I had a multi-employee training and final building inspections Saturday and Friday, respectively. With more than a week notice and completely aware of our deadline, they agreed and we had much contact back and forth during that week. Thursday came and they said they picked up a different job and weren't coming. I was unhappy but agreed that Friday was fine but let them know inspections were late morn so they'd have to be done or at least take a break during that time. They promised to be there between 9-10 but didn't show. I called but no answer only to get a text that said they weren't coming because I hadn't called the night before? Nothing was discussed about not coming. I told him I was now in an emergent situation with my deadlines and that he totally left us in a lurch but he said we didn't have a contract or deposit so he didn't have to come. He never asked for either as we would have been happy to provide both. I told Jeff (owner) that these are the kinds of things that Yelp and Bbb should know about since we were totally relying on him and this is crazy unprofessional and he threatened to leave retaliatory statements on our small business' page after he totally wasted our time and money and I had to cancel my training and now have to delay opening at least a day until I can get someone to do the job he was supposed to do- special order material so cost me business days. I would seriously consider whether you need someone reliable before using this company. Best wishes. read more
