Their DNP program is new as of August 2022 and has been a disaster. It is an accelerated program…read morewith courses over Christmas, ten credits in the summer intercessions in the 2nd year, only 5 weeks allotted for 90 clinical hours, and a bit expensive. Each course is only offered every year and a half, there is no flexibility to take courses as your work/family situation allows. At times the clinical hours exceed what most employers would give for PTO. I was able to find non-profit work that could be done from home, but actual clinical sites are difficult to find and they provide little support, often unclear expectations, and had to bring in other faculty from other schools to help them. At times, assignments were not accepted on the last day of the semester, causing great hardship in completing over short breaks before the next semester. I can not recommend this program until it becomes more established as their other programs and more flexible for the working nurse practitioner.

Numerous sports offerings. So many other extracurricular activities are available to students from arts to science, coding, gaming, writing, social awareness activities, music, etc. etc. Teachers are the best of any school I have experienced and are very supportive. They are available & accessible for extra help. The college counseling, study skills & tutoring help if needed has been wonderful. The atmosphere is always active and the school emphasizes community service. The campus is beautiful. Students have been excellent. Administration has been wonderful to deal with as well. Wish I could go back in time and attend myself. So happy we chose STJ!
