Please refer to photo!!…read more The outcome of our pool being 'opened by Pioneer Pool' is a ripped off winter tarp, and now all of the leaves & debris in the bottom of our pool, still green. We assumed they were coming back as they left a few tools. When I called MULTIPLE times, and left MULTIPLE voicemails asking when/if they were coming back I didn't receive any response. I had to go through the 'customer curbside pickup' prompt to finally get directed to someone in service. ...and to quote her; 'We don't have the manpower to open pools like other companies, we can only remove the cover and prime.' Even after my shock l, I exclaimed this wasn't acceptable and she just said 'sorry this should've been explained to you.' It's inexcusable. We also (clearly) didn't get the chemicals we paid extra for. Strongly considering reporting them to the better business bureau

I reached out to Pioneer Family Pools in Burlington last September for a new pool liner. I paid a…read moredeposit of $100 for the measurement. They did not show up as scheduled, but did enter my back yard without permission in order to measure the pool. They did not measure the pool as there was water behind the liner and told me they would return in the Spring. They never called, so I went in to find out what was going on in May this year. They (Meg) asked me to take pictures, which I did, and sent them to her. Meg then instructed me to drain the pool and remove the liner myself, so they can measure. I had no problem with draining the water. However, in order for Pioneer to replace the liner, they would have had to remove it. Meg said since they had already came to measure the pool, they refused to come a second time unless I paid them $165. I escalated the concern, but the manager (Adam) was more concerned with defending Meg than resolving my concerns. There is more to it, but this provides the details. Copied the owner, Corey, but no response.

Answer: Although they get you to sign an agreement stating you need one, we were told legally we did not need one. WRONG!! It is illegal to have a pool without a fence permit, which could result in huge fines and the dismemberment of our pool. 2. Will they be bringing in machinary to dig due to our fencing situation. Answer: No. They will dig it all by hand. WRONG!! It wasn't until after the pool was paid for and delivered that we were informed that we would have to remove half our fence, including posts (which are 3 feet in the ground) otherwise pay $400 extra to dig by hand 3. Will they remove sod / dirt etc. Answer: Yes, we take care of all of this. WRONG!! We were also informed at the time of delivery that it would be an extra $350 to have the sod hauled away. Bottom line: They either do not train their sales staff properly, or they just dont give a damn about lying to their customers in order to get a sale. I would not recommend this company to purchase a pool from.

Extremely Disappointed, Poor Quality Control and Customer Service…read more I rarely take the time to write a negative review, but our experience with The Cover Guy has been incredibly disappointing. We purchased a custom rolling cover for our Bullfrog X8 and made a significant investment because we expected a quality product and a company that would stand behind it. We carefully followed the ordering and installation instructions and handled the cover with care from the moment it arrived. After several weeks, we experienced our first rainfall and discovered water pooling between the spine sections. Upon carefully removing and inspecting the cover, we found a very obvious puncture/hole in the liner. The condition of the damage appears consistent with pressure or improper handling during manufacturing or shipping--not something caused by normal use. We immediately submitted a warranty claim, expecting the company to stand behind its product. Unfortunately, The Cover Guy's response was anything but "hassle-free." Their customer service team took approximately a week to respond to our warranty claim, only to deny coverage because we supposedly failed to contact them within three days of receiving the product. This is particularly frustrating when the defect was not apparent until we actually used the cover and experienced rainfall. The company's own delay in responding to our claim was then effectively used against us. What made the experience even more concerning was the apparent use of different names by their customer service representatives. During a phone call to the company's business line, I was told that an employee named Erica had received our information and was reviewing the claim. I explained that the only person who had contacted me was someone named Maria. The response was essentially, "Oh yes, that's Erica." That interaction left us extremely uncomfortable and questioning the transparency of the company we were dealing with. The biggest issue isn't simply that we received a damaged product. Things can happen during manufacturing and shipping. The issue is how the company chooses to handle it when a customer brings the problem to their attention. We purchased an expensive product expecting quality, durability, and reasonable customer support. Instead, we received a damaged cover and then experienced a warranty process that felt designed to find a reason not to honor the claim. Calling the warranty "hassle-free" while refusing to assist a customer with an apparent defect, particularly after the customer carefully followed the instructions and handled the product properly, is extremely disappointing. I would not ever recommend The Cover Guy based on our experience. Spending this kind of money on a product should come with confidence that the manufacturer will stand behind it when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. If you're considering purchasing from The Cover Guy, I strongly encourage you to research their failures, terrible customer service reviews, and not to mention F rating on Business Bureau. Do not invest here, and avoid the regret. For us, the most disappointing part wasn't just the damaged cover, it was feeling like, once they had our money, resolving the problem was no longer their priority. The worst purchasing experience I have ever experienced.

Giving then one star is overrating then worst customer service for women…read more Attention :Customer Service I have never been so disgusted by a company and it's customer service,I order a pool water heater from your company "discount pool and spa warehouse", In early May ,by late June I had not received confirmation on my order ,I finally had to email them to ask what had happened .I understood that a lot of on line purchases had been delayed, but it would have been nice a courtesy email informing me of the delay. A few days later I got an email apologizing, but that wasn't my issue ,all companies were having the same problems. On June 25 around 4:00pm I called your Concord office when I found out that the pool heater didn't come with a starting kit , it's was like ordering a table without bolts and screws. I had called the store, before ordering online to find out all the information regarding the pool heater and was only told that I would need an electrician and a Plumber .I understood why they would not provide electrical wires, but did not understand why they didn't provide the pipe starting kit and a ground lug which is so important for the Plummer to put on,this is what the plumber explain to me ,when I called ,a lady picked up extension 268 she was very helpful and understood my dilemma, but was not sure what I was talking about , since she did not understand what the pool heater needed, she gave the phone to a man. He was the most rude and sexist person,I have ever spoken on the phone, he came out ready to talk down to me and argue ,he acted like a bully ,one of the first things that came out of his mouth was that if I plan to complain to "save it". He kept on talking over me ,he would not let me explain what my issue was and then he had the audacity to tell me he did not want ,a lecture from me , I realized why he had said "save it " . I was a woman and I was going to give him a lecture ,just like a child , I'm sure he would not have spoken to a man in that manner, I got very offended and call him a sexist pig ,he hanged up on me ,I called 22 time on extension 268 to find out what his name was but both of them did not answer the phone ,then I called extension 818 , having another lady answer the phone,I asked for a manager and the same man took the phone to harass me again, he did not hesitate to tell me that he was the same person I had spoken earlier .He didn't want to hear me earlier,I didn't want to hear him now , they only thing I wanted from him was his name so i asked for his name various of times and he told me he would not give me his name ,he can definitely talk freely to customers in an inappropriate manner, but he would not own up to his attitude and poor customers service, as much as I asked him to give me his name ,so we could end this call ,he would not give up his name, he did not have a problem going from extension 268 to 818 to give me a hard time ,if he felt that he didn't do anything wrong ,then there would not be any issue with giving me his name. Now please tell me ,would He do that to a man ,go out of his way from one extension to another to harass them , I don't think so, I truly feel he acted up ,because I was a woman and I don't appreciate be spoken down too.
