I came in at about…read more2pm and asked for a very simple (only words) tattoo and was told there would be an 1+ wait but I was one of the only customers in the store. After about 45 minutes I was told they didn't know how long it would be and got differing answers from all artists currently at the store. I ended up changing my design to something even MORE simple with the hopes I wouldn't need to be waiting for an hour PLUS another hour and a half under the needle. Most employees were stand-offish and hesitant to help me regardless what I was asking for/about. I have two other friends who also had poor experiences and I suggested that they write reviews themselves. All-in-all, a bad choice if you don't have 4 hours free to be in the shop, want a friendly experience, and expect good and consistent line work. Lots of other places in CoMo that are worth your money and definitely time, coming from a someone born and raised in this town.

I do live in Boston and had been told by someone here and they wouldn't do the piercing because due to the structure of the naval, it would be more of a surface piercing than the regular naval piercing and thereby would not heal correctly, like ever. The girl I spoke to at Hollywood Rebels .. nope. She was mad eager, told me to sign the form, shoot her an ID, and we were off. Piercer looked young but found out she had been doing this for over a decade. She was super friendly, very thorough and informative, and totally vibed with the fact that despite my eclectic piercings and tat, I get nervous about ten seconds before the needle thing happens. Great piercer, gentle as hell, and the place was extremely hygienic, all things super important for those seeking body modification. The girl told me to come back sometime because she likes seeing picture of her final products and I definitely will the next time I'm in the area. Final cost: $50. Super impressed. Edit: Come to think of it, I'm having a huge deja-vu moment and think I might have been at this joint a few years back to fix a piercing that had partially closed. All positive from that experience, too.

When Cassie finished, she had decided against my wishes to include the circle around it. Later when the line work needed touching up I went in and all she did was pack black in all over the tattoo. In no way did I get what I asked for. Now I more or less have a solid black circle on the lower half of my calf. I have been to a number of artists to see if the area can be salvaged with a cover up with some kind of outer space theme as I absolutely love astronomy. All have told me that a coverup of that magnitude is a hell of an undertaking that they weren't sure they could pull off. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Stone Crow again.
