I have been to this place a few times and had no huge quarrels with it however this time was so bad. I left with fan shaped nails after asking for square, and they ended up being shorter than I wanted too. These facts I could've gotten over without leaving a review but I could not get over the excessive amounts of glue underneath my finger nails. I still haven't been able to pick all of it off!!!? Not to mention it's a lot of glue and it's on there really good so it's somewhat painful to pick off. Now, I will admit I didn't say anything before leaving but I shouldn't have to ask for a whole nail painted, the right shape, AND no glue underneath my fingers- so I chalked this up to a loss. The only thing that could remedy this situation is a refund. I would hate to drag the other ladies in the shop who probably do a fine job (some of which I have had and have done a fine job) so I will just warn whoever has read this far to avoid service with Nang R. read more

MOLD My boyfriends mom went and got dip powder nails done there for the first time in awhile. She was super excited and they looked great until... the next time she went and got them done and found MOLD underneath her nails, it was on two of her fingers. The owner who did them the first time and second didn't seemed two surprised to see it. Then my boyfriends mom told me the technique that she was using and it was the clear dip powder and then gel color on top, not just the colored powder. The two times she went to get them done they never fully removed it all, the owner just kept adding on to them so they looked super thick and unnatural. I took my girlfriend and I to this salon for her 22nd birthday celebration and we got 2 pedicures + Spa, for a total of 84 before the tip I shouldn't have left. We got in 5 minutes early, and the front desk employee was very helpful and joyful , talkative and quickly sanitized and showed us the nail polish selection. We got into our seats 8 minutes past our booked times and it wasn't another 2 minutes before the nail specialists got around to us, being the only other customers in the store besides two people getting manicures. Least to say, I should not have spent $84 on these pedicures & spas. My pedi&spa lasted less than 20 minutes, I didn't get the calf massage that my girlfriend got, and I wasn't even getting polish. My girlfriend finished at exactly 30 minutes past our booking time, and it didn't start till 10 minutes past that... the only redeeming part of this experience was the nail polish we chose because it is very beautiful. I didn't think it was that bad when I got in the car, before my girlfriend showed me her feet... there were several dry spots still left and her feet were still sore from before the salon. I have taken her to a different salon here in Columbia before and it was half the price and nearly a order of magnitude better as an experience. I would not recommend 1/10. read more

I ended up having to scrub the rough spots on my feet when I got home from the pedicure; it was definitely a disappointing experience. I also had to wait for the employees to finish their own nails before they did mine, then was rushed to leave since the place would be closing soon. WOOWWWW!! What great customer service!! I scheduled an appointment with my acrylic nails to find out they don't do acrylic. Reason being that acrylic, while a little tougher, is horrid for your nails. Since I couldn't find any place that does fake nails well around here, I decided to give this place a go. Was. Not. Disappointed. They soaked off my original nails gently but surely. Sina accommodated my EVERY request, and answered EVERY question with a cheerful disposition. Let me tell you! I am terribly picky, going from the thickness, to shape, to length. I told her that I am rough with my nails, and needed them thicker, yet shorterish. She responded with a technique called overlay, to not only make them a bit more durable, but to prevent lifting. Sina was happy to follow my every request, even the two times I had back pedaled when a nail was too short. She had no problem taking the extra time to lengthen them Even though it added on twenty minutes. She addressed all of my concerns happily, and was ecstatic with how happy I was with the end result. I could go on and on, but if these nails last for as long as I think they will I WILL be a returning customer! read more

My Perfect Nails is the most beautiful salon/spa in Columbia! From the moment you walk in, you will be greeted by Nick who is extremely knowledgeable about the products and services offered. Nick allowed my friend and I plenty of time to select colors. He offered us water, coffee, and tea (wine is also offered). My friend was serviced by Sina (gel mani/pedi) who did an amazing job and was also extremely knowledgeable. I was serviced by Courtney (gel mani/pedi) who was really sweet. In my opinion, she did a better job on my pedicure than my manicure. My manicure just wasn't as clean and sharp as I like them. Heard good things from a friend about this place so I went to try it out. I went for acrylic nails and they do not offer that service but an alternative to acrylic that I decided to try. The workers were very friendly and accommodating and the salon it's self was beautiful. But...the worst nail job I have ever experienced. The girl appeared to have no idea what she was doing and destroyed my nail beds and didn't do the shape I requested. I walked away FOUR hours later (not exaggerating), unhappy with my nails, and with $45 dollars out of my pocket. Truly kind people but not good at what they do. read more

We (a party of 2) has an appointment for a mani/pedi in the late afternoon. We got right in so that part was nice. They say they offer wine and beer during your services, but the nail techs helping us didn't have a list nor did they know the brand or styles they offered. We ended up getting wine anyway but I wouldn't suggest it if you're a "wine snob". The pedicure was okay at best. I had to point out spots she didn't buff out all the way as well as polish she got on my skin. As for the manicure, that was a disaster. I bite my nails, and she tried to file them anyway...that doesn't actually work. The polish was poorly put on and I had to redo it before going out that evening. The worst part, and main reason for the negative review is this: the nail techs helping us, told us we were ready for the dryer, did not walk us over there or turn them on, and then put on their coats and left. We weren't told a drying time or any payment instructions. Needless to say, I probably won't be returning to My Perfect Nails. read more

I was visiting from out of town with my sister, and we wanted to treat ourselves to mani/pedis. We decided to try My Perfect Nails, and thought the experience was below average. The technicians are friendly, but they booked us for 80 minutes time slots while the entire service actually took 2 hours. My tech left before my appointment was finished to start another appointment (even though we had booked online specifically with her), and another tech finished my mani. They also upcharged my mani for "nail art" because I asked for a glitter accent nail, and they do not carry glitter polish, so they use loose glitter. I had hoped they would communicate that this is an extra charge before you get to the register to pay. Additionally, I asked my tech to work on my ingrown toenails during my pedi (something that every other salon I go to helps with) and she brushed it off and said they don't need it. They do a good job of massaging, shaping the nails, and applying color, but overall, we were not impressed for the price. read more

I love a good spa pedicure, but the problem is generally either you go to a super-high end spa to get a really good one and end up spending a fortune OR you go to a strip-mall one and pay a reasonable amount but the pedicure is just OK. When I started hearing good things about My Perfect Nails, a new nail salon in a new strip mall location near me, I took a chance and made an appointment. It was a wonderful experience. The look of the place is much nicer than your average nail place (though not as fancy as some salons). As soon as I walked in a gentleman came in from the back and greeted me. He left me to pick out my nail color while he filled the foot spa. The pedicure chairs are great: a roomy, soft bench with message feature, lumbar pillows, armrests and really clean spa tubs, with water that is heated (for comfort and safety) as it circulates. Sina is amazingly nice: cheerful and friendly. And she does an amazing job. My feet are ticklish, but she was still able to file my feet with almost no tickles and she has a delicate hand dealing with cuticles: no pain at all! She also gives a really good foot and leg massage. During the pedicure I was offered something to drink twice (water, tea, soda, coffee), though I declined. I highly recommend, and at $40 for a full hour spa pedicure, I won't be going back to the $50-70 spas anytime soon for my pedicures, which means I can afford to go a little more often. read more
