        Impact Comics started in September 2004 upstairs in the Sydney Building, Canberra. In 2008, Impact Comics moved to the ground floor location in Garema Place. In 2014 the annual Impact Comics Festival began in Garema Place

        Mal has read and created comics his whole life. He has appeared on National radio talking about comics, has been invited to judge the Ledger Awards twice and founded Impact Comics in 2004, and the Impact Comics Festival in 2014.

      Supercute local bookshop, performance space, gallery, and coffeeshop! Lots of choice from outdoor…read moreseating to inside couches, chairs, and eclectic art. Stopped in for a coffee but looking forward to coming back for a live show sometime.

      So, it's listed as a bookshop but it has since become a low key bar and place to hang out. It has…read moregood live music and other performances. These usually involve buying a ticket but you can also just come, grab a simple beer and hang out on the comfortable seats outside instead of near the stage. It really is the perfect place to chill out - especially if you've just had hotpot across the street. Highly recommended.
