The classes are fast-paced and some prior knowledge in boxing as well as understanding of basic punches did help me keep up to pace, however Arnie the instructor does circle around in class and will take time to help correct your movements to make sure you're doing them right. The energy and the music during these classes are always on point and I always leave getting a great workout in. Good way to get the heart rate up through HIIT cardio and a fun class to implement in my training program.

I messaged one of the coaches and was blown away at how quickly I got a response and the initial consultation. 3 weeks in and I love it. All the coaches are so welcoming and supportive, but at the same time, it's evident that you're there to put in work (all the coaches are pro's, by the way). I signed up for their 6-week weight loss program, and was assigned to coach Jose who immediately got me to work. Everything was laid out as far as meal plans, daily accountability check-ins, workouts in and out of the gym, and of course boxing training. To be honest, walking into the building for my first day was intimidating, but all of that went away as soon as I was greeted at the door. This is a phenomenal boxing gym for anyone at every level of experience (I had zero lol). 3 weeks in, and I'm hooked. I'm eating better, feeling better, and definitely extra motivated to workout and continue to get better.

Trained with Coach Romel via online coaching! What I wanted to get from our sessions is the discipline to be consistent. I eventually want to be so disciplined that when the time comes, I can be on my own in the gym. For over 6 month period, he grilled me everyday and checked on me and my health being on how I was doing. Our goal from the beginning is NOT to loose weight or look sexy in the bikinis... our goal was for me to BECOME STRONG and be CONSISTENT. Coach Romel was so positive and was so eager to help with anything, with my questions, qualms about gyms and routines. It was very daunting at the beginning but slowly and surely I felt stronger. The stronger I become, physical changes follow suit. I made it clear to him that I did not want to count calories or be food crazy. That's the thing with becoming strong, I started changing my diet, my attitude became positive and I started becoming consistent going to the gym. Gym became a place of positive place for me to go to. Not a drag. I look forward to going to gym. I can still coach Romel say, "niceeeeeeee" in my ear every time I badge in the gym. Lololol. When I visited Vegas and of course I had a live session with coach Romel, I was nervous and excited to show him my progress. 6 month prior him coaching me, I would have died, cried and be so anxious to even show up in the gym. But he guided me all the way while being on my own, that I I was so excited to show him what we've been working on with Our face to face session. Lo and behold, I DID NOT DIEEEEE! I held up and made myself SOOOOOO PROUD!!!! That just goes to show that Online coaching did really work!!!! Posted below are my body changes within 6 months!!! If you're looking for a coach online or face to face, Coach Romel is the beasttttttt!!!!!!!!!!! Only good things!!! Very positive and definitely not intimidating to work with. read more

!!!!Beware stay away from this gym!!! !!!Owner Jessica!!! is protecting a !!!predator Alvin Diamond !!!! My daughter trained at this gym starting at 17. After she turned 18, the trainer Alvin made sexual comments and advances toward her. When she refused, he assaulted her on two separate occasions -- once dragging her from a chair, and another time grabbing her while she leaning on a wall and dragging her across turf. She sustained a shoulder injury and had to seek medical care after this incident . We asked the gym owner Jessica to provide security footage after filing a police report, but the owner refused. The trainer Alvin also shared disturbing stories with my daughter, including boasting about a violent altercation in which someone passed away -- and claimed he avoided consequences by calling it self-defense. This to me as a mom felt like a threat he was making towards my child. He even threatened her directly, saying things like, "I can hit you now that you're 18." My daughter was very scared of Alvin and kept coming back to training not telling me about these incidents out of fear of something happening to her or my family. Since filing the police report, other women and trainers at the gym that I spoken to have shared similar experiences with this trainer. This gym is unsafe and the owner is incompetent and protecting a predator. She should be ashamed of herself. read more

Absolutely loving Self Made!! My trainer is Christian Inman and he is no joke! Not only did he take the time to really get to know me and my fitness goals, but he is genuinely interested in helping me reach them. I have already learned so much about fitness and the importance of taking care of myself in the short time I have been training with him. On top of my fitness, he is able to help me with my nutrition as well which has always been a big struggle for me. Knowing that he'll be helping me create meal plans that'll work best for me is a huge bonus! He is also so flexible with his training schedule. For someone like me who works over night shifts at a hospital, he is perfectly able to work with my schedule. The best part is how hard he pushes you in the gym, it is no joke. But I know after ever session that I have accomplished something and am that much closer to my fitness, and overall health, goals. The gym itself is amazing with some of the coolest, latest equipment and he'll teach you to properly use everything. Been training with Justin V. For 4yrs. He is very consistent and considerate of everything he does. I went to him to build my strength for my job. Massage therapy. It has made my job so much easier. (My deep tissue clients are telling me to lighten up.) He definitely knows his muscles and the many different exercises that keep me from getting bored. Is able to tell you why he chooses the program he customizes for you. Everyone has such a community vibe. Serious about their workouts, but also makes it fun! He even trained me thru my whole pregnancy. So that I was still able to work. I felt I had an easier labor because we kept training. He constantly checks to make sure your doing ok. His words "we want flow not struggle" so he isn't a trainer that is going to rush you and you end up hurting yourself. Plus when we don't have a babysitter he welcomes our baby girl so we can still get a workout. read more

He has been a fundamental pillar in my fitness journey. His guidance and belief in me has made me strive for more when it comes to my health and fitness goals. He offers 1:1 training, HIIT bootcamps, and boxing bootcamps. What I admire about Ray is that he is always in pursuit of furthering his knowledge to better his community and the clients he has. Great facility with the equipment you need! Want to give a huge shout out to Coach Romel! He's been training me since Feb 2022 in boxing. From teaching the basics and fundamentals to combos to get the body moving, I couldn't ask for a better coach. His sessions differ each time and are unique so it ain't the same boring routine every session. He's open to feedback that can help improve his sessions or experience. Booking with him is easy, but since he's so good at what he does, his calendar gets booked quick so best to book in advance. Til this day, I train with him once a week. I even bought my own wraps and boxing gloves just because it's part of my weekly workouts. For new clients, he does provide gloves and equipment you need to get started. I had the pleasure of training with Coach Romel while visiting Vegas for a dear friend's bachelorette. It was my first time training in boxing and I was a little intimidated at first, but Coach Romel was so positive and motivating that I quickly forgot my fears. We were in a group of five and Coach Romel did a fantastic job providing us with a balanced training that allowed us time to work as a group as well as individually. Coach Romel ensured that our form was correct, provided us with a challenge while also setting us up for success, and overall made the whole experience fun and engaging. My only complaint is that I do not live in Vegas to be able to train with Coach Romel in person on a regular basis. LOVE Self Made Training Facility! The staff is so friendly, and it's extremely clean and modern looking. It has such a motivating vibe that you're ready to work as soon as you walk through the door. I followed Tiffany Boydston on Instagram (@tiffanymarieboydston) for a few months before contacting her about training. She is so passionate and knowledgeable. Her workouts are always challenging and fun. She uses the battle ropes, kettlebells, bands, dumbbells, machines, TRX bands, tons of variety. I've only been training with her for a little under a month and the changes are visibility noticeable! My strength and stamina are through the roof. Edward Yang is the best trainer, every workout is so diverse. I love his energy. He is warm and personable and make working out fun and not a chore. I was looking to improve my strength and Ed was the best decision, I had no idea how off I was. I start training with him and what I like most about his personal training is that he encourages me to give my best. My body has changed a lot since I started training with Ed, I have indefinitely built more muscle, confident and that helps me a lot with jiu jitsu. This place is wonderful! The trainers and community feel is great! I didn't think I would love this place as much as I do. I have been training with Zoe for over 2 years now and she really knows how to push me and make me feel like I can achieve way more than I think. She always makes sure I feel comfortable and confident with the exercises and I very much feel I get the most out of every workout. I've been training at self made with JUSTIN @flexinbalut for a while now. The environment/atmosphere of this training facility is by far the best to be in/around. Everyone is so welcoming. Justin has been there to train me from day one of my fitness journey, he keeps me motivated to get fit and hit goals that I thought I couldn't achieve. I would highly recommend working with Coach Zoe! She lives what she teaches, very skilled and knowledgeable fitness and health coach. She has been working with my daughter for over a year now and we have seen a huge transformation not only in her outward physical appearance but also her inward mental attitude. I have been training here for almost a year and was accidentally introduced into boxing. I started taking bootcamp classes with Ray and fell in love with the positivity and vibe from him and the group in general. I then decided to take my boxing to the next level and started doing 1 on 1 sessions. Ray has helped me learn discipline and has pushed me in ways that are unimaginable. I trained at Self-Made with my Personal Trainer, Moy Garcia. He is an amazing trainer. He has tons of patience with his clients when we don't understand a certain movement. He provides a lot of value and you can tell right off the bat that he has experience to back it up. Being a newbie, I opted for the 10 class package, which came out to $300. I trained mostly with the owner Teresa and a couple classes with Ashley. Both are kind and knowledgeable, always helping me with my form, which is appreciated. Gym equipment has always intimidated me, so it's great to be under the care of professionals. Class packages are good for one year. I actually had a long break in between using my classes due to life stuff and grief, but when I came back, I knocked out my 7 remaining classes in a month. Time flies. Not gonna lie, before I started working out in general, the sessions at Envy left me feeling nauseous. They were intense for me. However, as my body got conditioned and got in better shape through various gyms and consistent exercise, the workouts became easier. Additionally, scheduling is fairly easy on the app, with about 10 spots for each time slot. Each person has their own circuit and space, depending on their needs. After having liked a couple post Devin reached out to me in regards to trying a free class. It had been a while since I did a boxing workout so I agreed to come in. They currently offer three classes a day Monday through Friday, 8 am, 5:30 and 6:30 and two on Saturdays, 10:15 and 11:30. I came in for the 6:30 mid week class. Signature Fitness Kickboxing is located upstairs inside of Signature Strength and Nutrition. Devin greeted me and went over my experience with kickboxing, what to expect, etc. He then proceeded to kick my butt! Started with warm up, then punching combos, starting off basic and then building. He's very good at reading what you're capable of handling. It was a full 60 minute workout! In addition to punching and kickboxing combos there was ab work, push up combos and some sparring. After class Devin went over their rates. They offer monthly and a punch card. Very reasonable and competitive. I have to be honest and say when I realized the location in reference to where I live I thought okay, this is going to be a one and done. We found Champion Train Center and Dominick through a clinic that was held by a 3rd party baseball coach that was visiting from Los Angeles. My son had did an initial assessment and workout with Dominick and loved it. We ended up signing up for 6 sessions a year ago and now we are back again. He's firm and not soft with the kids to ensure they want it and is willing to work for it. He focuses on mentality and everything else will fall in place. Son went from a 55mph exit velo hitting to topping over 60mph off the tee last year through just 5 sessions. Great workouts, would highly recommend.

We have raised 4 children that have all participated in competitive sports here in Las Vegas. Over the past 2 decades we have been to almost all of the youth training centers and continue to have close relationships with the dozens of coaches that have helped to raise and develop our children. We have loved them all. McGovern Sports Champion Training Center is the first time we have had a bad experience in over 20 years. Prior to the start of the 2022 fall football season I met with Dominic at McGovern Champion Sports Training Center. Since we only had 2 weeks before the start of the season I was looking for some quick, specific and targeted training to help get him rehabilitated and conditioned. We did not continue the training at McGovern/Champion because my son said that he never felt good after leaving there. This is coming from a kid that is an all league player in football and basketball, has always had the reputation for being the hardest working on the field/court and has absolutely loved every coach he has ever had. When I questioned my son further I discovered that Dominic has a coaching style that belittles instead of encourages. Each coach has their own style so I'm not critical of this approach. It definitely did not work for my son, but it is not something that would compel me to leave a bad review. In fact I generally only leave positive reviews. The reason I feel forced to write this bad review is to protect other parents from a business operator that has attempted to take advantage of us financially. When I met with Dominic, it was made unquestionable clear that we only needed temporary training and never agreed to anything recurring. We needed to get some extra training for a 2 week period. We have a lot of experience with training. We know the difference between ongoing training and purchasing a training session. Dominic suggested a package of 6 sessions and although that was more than we were looking for we agreed to 6 sessions for $360. These training sessions were back in August 2022. As of this writing, November 2022, I have just discovered that he has been continually billing us monthly in $360 increments. We have not been there for almost 3 months. We never agreed to or signed anything that allows him to charge us. At first, I assumed it must have been a mistake. When I called Dominic to bring it to his attention, he sent a copy of an amatuer, makeshift contract that my 15 year old son signed electronically, indicating that there is a 30 day cancellation policy for all purchases. In this makeshift contract there was no mention of any price, any dates or any services. It's also very clear that the contract he sent me was modified. I've attached a copy and you can clearly see the font change in the last line of the contract. Who does this? Dominic has now stopped responding to my messages and I am now forced to report the fraudulent transactions to my bank and potentially pursue legal action. I hate that I have to write this review, because I know that business is tough and small business owners often struggle to make ends meet. But by taking financial advantage of his customers, this operator tarnishes the spirit of ethical business and makes it harder for all of us to trust the many reputable businesses that are out there. For training your children, please stay away from McGovern - Champion Training Center. Instead, look into to Phase 1, Game Changers, or Mark Phillipi @ PSI. All are wonderful places to develop your young athlete, in an environment where your children won't be harassed or belittled and where they won't try to steal your money.
