While I was in the waiting room waiting to be seen, I overheard the secretary being impudent and unrefined to person after person that was checking in. When I went to the front desk to schedule for a minor procedure, she was so rude. The doctor had told me to make an appointment at the front desk to come back tomorrow. When I told the receptionist, she brushed me off and told me "This is a WALK IN we don't schedule appointments here!" in the most condescending tone. Had to tell her three times that the doctor JUST told me to SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT to come back before it finally seemed to get through her thick skull. Unbelievable. As someone who works in the health care field as well, I was completely taken aback. She looked and acted so trashy. I would give this place one star, but the doctor I see is great there. It's unfortunate that my experience was bad overall here because of the receptionist.

They will also be helpful and tell you roughly how long a wait it is so you don't have to spend your entire afternoon or morning waiting. My experiences here have always been pleasant!

The doctors here really are warm, friendly discreet and respectful. The front end staff is also friendly and they are accomodating. This is such a busy office and they do the best they can to get you in. This is my one beef with this office and that is the fact that they are soooo busy. If you need to get in to see your ASAP, making an appointment for later in the day or even the day after is next to impossible and you have to go as a walk-in. I have to admit this is disappointing, but you have to keep in mind that at this moment, Sylvan does not have an urgent care facility. So the doctor's offices in town take on that volume. I do think that that extra workload can make quality care difficult and thus this office is aggressively advocating the urgent care unit. With the population growth in the last few years, our community sorely needs it! If you really do need care after hours and can't make it into Red Deer, doctors are available on call. I did have to utilize this once and the doctor was kind, attentive and did not feel put out for the visit. Mind you, I did need it! I would recommend this office if you are looking for a family doctor. However, as mentioned before, due to the population of Sylvan, be aware that scheduling is difficult, but do keep in mind that the demand is out of their hands.

I am so satisfied that I am driving down in June for another treatment
