Their open spaces are bright, modern, and inviting. The office space we rented had lots of natural light and was furnished with quality items. Every place should have motorized, standing desks as their default option! The amenities were really wonderful. Sparkling water on tap, periodic wellness classes for member engagement, easy to use a/v in the conference spaces, snacks and meals provided periodically... you really feel appreciated and taken care of. Most importantly, the dynamic duo of Ashley and Ashley make Studio a wonderful place to be. They are responsive, attentive, accommodating, engaging, and really just two of the nicest people you will meet. We did our best to try to stay at Studio but unfortunately, there was just not a good fit for our unique needs as an organization but rest assured, we are sad to be leaving.

Plus Ashley L is so efficient and friendly even when multiple things are clamoring for her attention at the same time. They have lockers too, in case you're paranoid like me and don't like leaving your stuff out when you take a stroll outside (but you 100% can, and many do). Of course, I accidentally locked myself out of the locker I chose and was thoroughly embarrassed by my distracted goof, but Ashley was so nice about resetting it for me. She's the reason why this is my favorite spot, and not just one of my top 3 spots!

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

Our instructor was friendly and gave clear directions on how to mold our pieces. We each made 2 pieces, so the one hour really flew by. We had the option to come back to glaze our pieces or have the studio glaze them for us, and opted for the latter. There's a small lot behind the building, but it was full when I went. It wasn't difficult to find free street parking on a Sunday evening in this area. The pottery pieces could use a bit of extra care in handling (my wheel-thrown piece had rough edges and a random piece stuck on that wasn't there initially, and the glazing didn't look thorough on my other piece), but overall I was happy with my pieces. This was a fun experience, and worth the value!

If you didn't know her work, it's the most fun, colorful and happy art at the intersection of Impressionism, portals and optical illusion, where you squint your eyes and each segment of color is like a pixel in a tapestry of interwoven color and texture. The vibe was amazing ing and I just had to go see this art and support this artist. I arrived and found an entire treasure trove of fascinating art by dozens of artists. Each style is unique and well worth coming by. Imagine walking through a museum of the most amazing only talented artists and all the art is for sale. I bought two pieces. One of Shiri's of course. The art is reasonably priced and there are many different sizes. I highly recommend Artspace Warehouse for some of the best talent in the L.A. art world. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful and full of knowledge about each and every artist, the types of art and our chats were so chill- no pretentious vibes here. Just joy. This was really a thrill to see locals, families choosing art for their homes, and people like me who came a bit of a distance to share the art experience here. I highly recommend Artsoace warehouse.

My family had several old films and cassettes that had been in storage for decades, and the Advanced Media team were able to quickly and efficiently transfer them to a hard drive, where they can now be shared with everyone in my family without fear of the original film deteriorating. More importantly, my family can retain our connection with our past -- and the family members who are no longer with us. If you happen to have old films and videos like this lying around, having them professionally transferred to a digital medium strengthens family bonds - it's such a joy to see younger versions of your siblings, parents, grandparents, and other family during candid moments from the past. The group at Advanced Media is the prime choice to take these precious memories. In terms of service, Nimrod was very clear regarding the timetable and cost for transferring our films. The cost was incredibly reasonable, and I felt much more comfortable giving our precious memories to an actual person and supporting a brick-and-mortar L.A. store, as opposed to shipping them to some anonymous and expensive transfer service. In short, expect professionalism and timely service from the Advanced Media team. I fully endorse them and expect to use them to transfer any further batches of film, VHS or Hi8 tapes in the future.
