Jesus came out for an inspection on an "as is" townhouse. I am the type of person who is usually early for anything, so I got there about 10 min prior to the time of the appointment and he was already there! I appreciated he wore a mask all the time (correctly, too!) His inspection was extremely thorough, and he didn't mind me tagging along the entire time peppering him with questions. It took around 3 hours, I think. I also had them do the scope of the sewer system. He gave me some great tips for what to tackle going forward, and reassured me regarding some issues I was concerned about. I recommend them without reservation. read more

The owner of this company and one of his inspectors used to work for Amerispec. The inspector that at the time worked for Amerispec (but now fr this company) did a termite inspection on a house a bought about a year ago. According to the inspection there was no evidence of termites. Within a couple weeks of moving in I found MULTIPLE areas of termite evidence. I was so concerned about the inspection and inspector (finding it hard to believe that a professional could not have found the MANY areas of termite evidence) that I contacted the Iowa Department of Agriculture. The Iowa Department of Agriculture did an independent investigation and found that the inspector was not properly certified to even do the first inspection and NEVER even did the second inspection (one was pre-listing and one was closer to closing). Amerispec was given a formal written warning by the Iowa Department of Agriculture for falsifying information and letting someone who was not certified do the inspection (Case File No. 16-0548). Considering this lack of ethical behavior, I would not recommend these individuals. read more
