Let me start by saying I didn't buy a car from Impex Chevrolet GMC... but I was interested in buying a classic SUV they had available. Being an hr & a half away my initial contact to inquire about the truck was via the phone. Long story short the vehicle needed some work & I was looking for a truck that was road ready. Having purchased 9 vehicles (cars, trucks or motorcycles) prior I am very familiar with how car salesmen usually operate. Quintin is NOT that guy... he was upfront, professional, genuinely friendly & most importantly went to bat for me. I shared what I was willing to pay & Quintin presented my case to the owner since mechanical work was required. Not only did I feel represented but I felt heard... since I communicated traveling 3+ hrs to not purchase a vehicle would not be good. Based on my experience, here are a few steps I recommend for protecting yourself: (1) Ask for full disclosure Before purchase, ask directly if the vehicle has ever had body damage, flood damage, or any other issues. Request that the salesperson put their answer in writing or record the conversation. Also, ask to see the GM Global Connect report, which may show history not listed on Carfax (remember, Carfax is not always 100% accurate). (2) Request the original window sticker The original sticker shows which dealership the vehicle was being delivered to. Contact that dealership's sales manager to verify why it wasn't sold there and whether there were any issues. (3) Watch for red flags Be cautious if a salesperson claims the vehicle came from a "dealership going out of business." or you will be purchasing a USED/NEW vehicle ?? (4) If issues arise File a complaint with: The State Attorney General's Office The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Or escalate to GM Corporate Mary Barra - CEO, mary.barra@gm.com In my opinion, the management at this dealership (Randy Cannon - Sales; Tom Russell - GM) handled complaints unprofessionally and were unwilling to take responsibility for customer issues. I bought a car from these people late in 2024 along with a warranty, the car broke down 2 months later and thankfully the warranty covered the repair. But while the car was being repaired I had to get a rental car which was also covered by the warranty but alas the warranty company is actually the dealership and now they won't pay for the rental although they have admitted to owing the reimbursement. I have been fighting since March 23rd 2025 and the check they did send me was voided. Being on a fixed income this has been a terrible ordeal. They dont deserve 1 star. Lousey sale rep named Detrimus never answered his phone, mailbox full for a week. We finally agreed that I would purchase the car and I said send me the invoice for me to pay cash. He took my address for delivery and we agreed that I would send the money. I got to the bank and while Im there he texts me someone put a deposit on it. Very un-professional sales rep and when I asked for interior pictures it took another rep to provide them. We had a fantastic experience buying our electric vehicle from Impex today. We dealt with Austin who provided outstanding service. We never felt pressured and he answered all of our questions about a very technical vehicle. This was the smoothest, most hassle free car transaction we've had, period. The Impex website was what grabbed us to begin with. It was accurate in its representation of the cars and, most importantly, current. On two occasions I made an appointment, one was for four new tires. When I arrived, I was checked in and had a seat. A little while later the rep came and told me that no one had ordered my tires, and they would not be there until late that afternoon or the next day. I could not wait, called back later and played phone tag with staff and manager and just decided to go elsewhere. Second appointment, today, scheduled an oil change and tire rotation for 9:45 am. After waiting for some time, I was being checked in, I asked how long it would take, I have had the same service before, took about an hour, they said the computer over book and there were three people ahead of me with a 9:45 am appoint and it would be over two hours........ 6/25/2025 I take my 2014 impala with about 85000 miles on it for the spoiler was leaking. I ask for an oil change, tire rotation and state inspection. A couple hours later the Rep. Calls my wife and informs her that her car has an oil leak. Not sure of the location of the leak, but for $169.00 diagnostic fee we will find it and provide a quote. "Want us to fix it?" My wife calls me and I drop what I'm doing and drive to the dealership. I tell my Rep. Never had any oil on my driveway, she smiles and shruggs her shoulders. My vehicles Maintenance is impeccable and clean. So while getting the oil change the technician pukes oil all around and doesn't clean up after himself. I guess.... now it goes to another technician and tells boss this car has oil leak, call customer for repairs. So ( HONEST ALEX ) looks at car cleans mess, no leak...no s#&t. Now had i not gone there and looked for myself with Alex. What would they have found, fixed and cost me????? Again I'm EXTREMELY anal about the maintenance of vehicles. I have every record of every vehicles maintenance that I've owned for the past 10 years at least. The bottom of my 2014 impala with 85000 miles looks almost like when it was purchased! To be honest I did shorten and clean up the truth. I was so angry, shaking, I had to leave the building..... not a peep from anyone since, yes the car is still at the dealership.. hand to God this is true, so please be cautious. R. Called and scheduled service for a recall on my truck. Figured since I would already be there, get an oil change too. When I arrived for my appointment, they tell me they can't do the recall work. I'm like, THAT'S THE REASON FOR THE VISIT. He explains that they don't have technicians on Saturdays, only people to do the oil changes. Why did you schedule it then? Dumb. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would! They are the worst place to buy a car from. My fiancé bought a truck from this place less than a year ago and we are already having to put a new motor in the truck. We understand getting an older truck there is a possibly of having issues but we had to take this truck multiple times to the service department to be fixed since we got it. They kept this truck for a couple weeks after we paid for it and signed the contract to go over the truck and make sure everything is okay. Out of the 4 times we took it up there to be worked on one time they told us metal was in the oil and that's a sign of the motor going out. They are terrible people who sell hardworking people bad cars. We will be looking into legal action for this. It's no wonder on the better business bureau they have a rating of C-. This place is terrible and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM! read more
