Both Michael and Grace are responsive, relaxed, and incredibly flexible. For our engagement photos, neither my husband nor I knew what to expect. Michael came prepared with creative ideas that resulted in an awesome variety of fun, romantic, totally frame-worthy photos. My husband wasn't initially too thrilled about having engagement photos taken in the first place, but the fact that Michael was such a down-to-earth, cool person made a huge difference for us. Now for the wedding... I will just start by saying I am not the type of person who particularly enjoys getting my picture taken, but with Michael, I didn't even know I was being photographed. We didn't want an overabundance of canned/staged poses and pictures. We were more looking for him to be able to blend into the background, but still be able to produce high quality shots and capture the true feeling of the night. He COMPLETELY exceeded our expectations here! Since receiving our photos last week, I have directed all of my family and friends to our online album to relive our perfect day. It feels incredible to share photos I feel confident in that really illustrate how beautiful our day felt. Of all our wedding vendors, Michael is the best decision we made. Attended a wedding here yesterday night. The place is in the middle of nowhere, but its a cute…read morelittle property. Theres the main house, where I assume the bridal party is able to get ready, and then there is the barn where the reception took place. The ceremony itself was held outdoors, which was nice and had a good view, however there didn't seem to be a contingency plan if it rained. Additionally, and this may be a per wedding thing, it was impossible to hear what was happening. Would highly recommend a mic, at least for the officiant. The property is kept up well and it looked like there were plenty of nice places for the wedding party to take their photos. The barn where the reception was held was very nice and clean. My only complaint would be about the restroom situation. The bathrooms are built into the barn much like a horses stall would be? There were two toilets in the women's restroom -- both of which had curtains as the doors. Mainly problematic because they were semi see through, and it was impossible to knock / see if someone was already in there. I'd be perfect if they could put in a more solid door of sorts!

Such a fun experience. We were on the fence about having…read morematernity photos done to begin with.. I don't exactly feel photo worthy during pregnancy. But a friend of mine encouraged me to have them done not necessarily for me, but for my future daughter. So I caved and scheduled the session. We met Lane and Matt (husband and wife team) at their studio in Dayton. It's not much to look at from the outside but it actually worked out really well. It's in an old warehouse. So they have their studio space, but they also have access to some really amazing areas of the old warehouse that make for great photo backgrounds. We did photos in the studio, around the old warehouse, and then drove to Deeds Park for some outdoor shots. We got our photos back really quick and they turned out amazing. I'm sure there was a massive amount of time spent on editing.. I felt during some shots my hair was out of place and flying everywhere. But you can't tell the wind was my enemy during the session at all. All fly-aways were edited out. You can really tell they actually care about both your experience and the finished product. They know these photos are memories that should be worthy of forever. Honestly, I always feel super awkward when taking photos. Even with friends. But Lane and Matt made us both feel super comfortable and really turned it into a fun experience. We can't wait to do our Newborn Photo Session with them.
