Both captain and mate did a great job of putting us on fish as well as making sure we got them to the boat! We did a full day, departed at 5.30am and back to the dock for 2.30pm. During the day, we had a nice mix of bottom fishing as well as trolling. Captain Terry was good about accommodating our request to do a bit more trolling than normal. John, the mate was on point all day long and was friendly and helpful with lots of tips and info. By days end we caught a 25# grouper, 60# AJ, 5 Mahi between 10#-20#, along with some other good eating fish mixed in. From early in the booking process to when we first stepped on the boat, Capt Sam was extremely knowledgeable about what was biting, areas to fish up and down the intercostal, all while educating on technique & the local environmental factors at play. The entire charter Capt Sam was engaged and kept the vibes light & positive throughout. We ended up landing a few keepers (2 Pompano & Trout) and several smaller species like jack & pinfish. Capt Sam also provides some great advice on cooking up the Pompano after providing some nice fillets. We caught lots of fish in the river, including several keepers that he did a great job of filleting for us. Mark provided everything, including high quality tackle and bait. We used shrimp as bait, and had pretty much nonstop action. We caught some very nice keepers for the dinner table: pompano, sheepshead and mangrove snapper, which tasted great. We also caught Jack, snook and mackerel. Mark delivered a great overall fishing experience, and as a trained marine biologist, he also offered a wealth of knowledge about the estuary that is called the Indian River. I highly recommend Mark Yanno's fishing guide service. You'll be glad you did!!

I knew they would need some guidance since we do not live nearby. I also wanted them to have good equipment so we gave them the masks and snorkels as a Christmas gift. Kendra was extremely helpful to them and assured them if they had any problems with mask leakage, they could return them. They are very excited and appreciative of the time and patience Kendra took with them. Will you pay a bit more than online? Yes you will. But you won't get the superior customer service and that is worth a few bucks to me. Support small business I say! I'm sure you will have a longtime customer with those two.
