Fast forward to May 2019... I met with Sean. He seemed nice, very young, and not quite sure of himself. I ended up interviewing him. Turns out he was fairly new to the position, so I cut him some slack. Sean was pretty diligent in sending job opportunities my way, but I was pretty specific about what I wanted, where I wanted to commute to. During this time, I started working a temp position (not through AO), and stayed in touch with Sean. July 16, 2019, I got an "urgent" call from Sean. "I think I have the perfect position for you." Sean hooked me up with Ali Wadood. Apparently, Sean had been singing my praises (thank you!), and Ali wanted to present me to a position in Everett. I interviewed on the 18th. Job was offered on the 23rd. I started new position on the 24th! More money than I was asking for, 10 minute commute to/from work. Thank you Sean and Ali! I appreciate you both very much!!

It was supposed to be a 30-minute session to discuss my goals, but it ended in just five minutes. The person I spoke with seemed uninterested and dismissive from the beginning. When he asked about my visa status (I'm on OPT as an international student), his demeanor completely changed. He basically told me it wasn't going to work out without offering any advice or alternatives. He didn't even ask about my goals or what I wanted to achieve--he just focused on my visa status and made me feel like I didn't belong. If it's true that Apple doesn't accept OPT, then fine, but the way this was handled was frustrating and unprofessional.

Even when caught in a lie they will justify their abhorent actions. Not professional in any way and should not be vetting professionals for job placement. It's important to remember, with any staffing service, you need to do the work, too. Fill out all the forms, follow-up with the staffing agency when they contact you, stay in touch, communicate. It also helps that NuWest, as opposed to some staffing agencies, projects a professional image and wants your business as a potential employee. The employees dress professional, communicate on a professional level, and the office itself is modern yet comfortable. I shouldn't have to point out that any staffing agency *is* professional - yet in my own personal experience, there are plenty of agencies giving up and not even trying to project a good image. Also, Kathy F. is very helpful and, yes, professional. Lastly, in response to a 2 star review from 11/2012 from another Yelp user: yes, the office is a little tricky to find... But, if you cannot find a business you simply call them and ask for directions.
