The bathrooms are always locked and dirty, teachers are rude and don't care, once a student peed on his chair because the teacher didn't let him use the bathroom and the bathrooms were also all locked. Don't trust ur kids with the men there as well, I was touched inappropriately and nobody would believe me or listen. I was touched by not one but multiple. Ever since then I always wear baggy clothes that cover my body even though I already wore baggy clothes back then so nobody could blame it on what I was wearing. I'm telling you this school ruined my mental health badly and I never want to go back there ever again. And the social worker/social counselor doesn't care at all and she also twists my words and forces me to talk when I don't feel comfortable talking about something she wants to know, and she also promised not to tell anybody but then the whole office knew and both my parents, of course I didn't tell her remotely close to everything but some stuff were rlly private and it hurt when I found out practically everyone knew, I also told her about me being touched and she didn't really believe me and didn't do anything about it. My daughter's first year in 6th grade went smoothly, with nice and helpful teachers. But as she transitioned into 7th grade it started to get horrendous. These teachers don't actually teach ANYTHING, all students are always on the Chromebooks and never get assigned any worksheets, or any real work, this specifically goes to all of the new teachers because all the old ones left. Lots of past teachers were leaving without anybody knowing why which made the learning for my daughter's second year drop. This school also does portfolio 6th-8th, but for my daughter's experience in 7th grade they had no portfolio help and the teachers were barely present. Beware, your children wont be learning in this school.

Unfortunately, because of that, there's very limited attendance available, and you're unable to buy more tickets for graduation day due to the limited seating. The education there is top notch. The office staff is extremely nice and personable. Teachers are great at communicating. They have an "advisory" class, whereas they learn life skills and am with the same "advisor" the whole middle school years (6-8) and another "advisor" the whole highschool years (9-12), so you always have a liaison who's looking out for your child. Seniors do a "senior project" that is community-based and they eventually present to a panel of teachers and community volunteers. There are several college prep days for both students and parents throughout the years. Because it is a small school, their proms, homecoming, and sports teams are not prominent, but their academic classes are rigorous and one of the best in the area. Unfortunately, it is definitely a hard school to get into, so consider yourself lucky if your child gets enrolled here. This was our first highschool experience and hopefully won't be our last (hoping to someday get our daughter into the school as well).

The principal, Kelvin Jackson, told our child to "Shut up and come with me." after a particularly tough day at school. He did sent us an apology letter. We spoke with the on-site superintendent, Jason Yarbrough, (the only other review for the school, see below) after initially getting blown off by him the week before. I am so happy I picked Natomas Christian School (NCS). Prior to my son starting school in August-2015 my beautiful wife and mother to my son died from cancer in January-2015. Needless to say we were still deep in our grief. I was faced with having to decide on the best school for my son that would understand the emotional trauma he was in and would work with me to make his transition as smooth as it could be under the circumstances. I looked at both public school and private schools. I quickly knew public school was not an option. My son needed a school that shared the same Christian beliefs as me, promoted prayer in school, did not use the Common Core curriculum, was affordable, had extended care, had a summer program and had small class sizes. NCS met my expectations to the letter. My son's kindergarten teacher (Mrs. Flowers) was the perfect teacher. She had a background in Psychology and was an experienced teacher. My son's transition was rough in the beginning but his teacher and school prayed for him and worked with him. In time he adjusted fine and was reading by Christmas! He is also good at double digit math and his overall confidence level has improved tremendously. I highly recommend NCS to anyone looking for a new school with small class sizes who view educating kids in the way it should be done. Recently, my son reported repeated teasing from another student involving comments about him being autistic. He also shared that he informed staff previously and felt the issue was not addressed. After a separate recess incident involving another student and a basketball being thrown hard enough to hurt him, I felt it was important to advocate more strongly for his safety and emotional well-being. I understand no school is perfect and children can have conflicts anywhere, but as a parent, I did not feel confident that this environment was the best fit for my child's needs. My experience left me concerned about supervision, social-emotional support, and responsiveness to bullying concerns involving students with disabilities. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, supported, and protected at school. For families considering this school, especially families with children who have IEPs, autism, or sensory/social support needs, I strongly encourage asking detailed questions about how disability-related teasing, bullying concerns, and student support are handled on campus. Ultimately, I decided to pursue a different educational environment that I believe will provide more structure, support, and accountability for my son.

I liked that the classes weren't too big in the ratio of instructor to student (1:6) Their facility is nice, clean and they have plenty of parking. There is also a nice big shaded bleacher area for the parents to sit and wait. We will definately be back for swim lessons again next year.

My child is in the 3rd grade with a IEP. We went into this school not feeling welcomed feeling less than! The first incident was, they wanted the special ed class to use the restroom in the nurses office, which is a discrimination against persons with disabilities! Next, they let their janitor go days without cleaning their room correctly! There was a spot that was covered with a table because they didn't clean it properly where a child had urinated! They have a sensory room with nothing in it nothing but what I gave them! They replaced my son one on one without notice! And didn't train the new person she didn't even want to work with my son because he was bigger than her and the end she was leaving bruises on his arms I brought my concerns to the office and they totally disregarded them. Mind you other teachers were talking mess about the special ed children. This place is a disgrace! I hope they get a big lawsuit! They have no idea what they're doing when it comes to special ed and they need to be trained better! One of the staff members even left a child unattended at the gate where he could've ran off just so many red flags! And you can't even speak up without them getting defensive about your concerns! Or they will retaliate like they did to my child when they replaced his 1:1 because I placed my concerns about the dirty class!
