This is that one indian restaurant in Catania, Italy that every indian tourist desperately seeks out while staying out on a pizza pasta diet. The menu here is pretty good though no paneer dishes which is a bit surprising to me. We ordered chicken seekh kabab masala, tadka daal, saag aloo. Chana masala, hyderabad biryani, naans, jira rice as we were pretty hungry and craving for Indian food while staying for a week in Catania. The service was really nice and people friendly. Food was good. Mango lassi was good. Chicken tikka masala curry and chicken curry are WAY too salty sadly. Food took a bit but we had 6 orders of food and appetizers around 6-7pm The biriyanis were good though and so was the couscous. We really enjoyed it. A good break from the average pastas and pizzas we sadly have been encountering. read more

We were in the market in Catania today at about lunch time, and we decided to get something to eat. We're relatively new to Italy, but we do live here, and the request for lunch was pretty simple - not Italian. So Yelp it was, and we found this little gem of a restaurant. First, a bit about the restaurant itself. It is pretty small, not real fancy, pretty much precisely the kind of restaurants I like to eat at. There were some nice paintings on the wall from India. The young gentleman that seated us showed us to our table, and immediately (and without asking) set up a couple fans to keep us comfortable (which wasn't really necessary!) . He presented us a menu - which marked the first of a couple cool things - he spoke English, and the menu items were in both Italian and English. As we don't speak Italian well (yet!) that was very comforting. We spoke to another lady that works there and shared some of our experiences here. Very warm and friendly staff. We ordered tandoori chicken, lamb curry, lamb biryani, naan, and drinks. All of the food was very good, and very reasonable prices. Portion sizes are decent - the biryani rice was a very good size portion, the other two about one person sizes. Where we come from in the US Indian food is pretty common, but relatively expensive. We are big fans. So we will for sure come back - I guess they are the only Indian restaurant in Catania. I highly recommend if you're an Indian food fan. read more

One of the BEST Indian restaurants! I've been craving everything but pasta and pizza as I live in Sicily and this restaurant has the perfect variety of spices and Indian dishes. A must try restaurant. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful as well. read more
