The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive (especially the manager Ming), they always recognize you (if you frequent more than once) and their positive attitude makes the place a fun and relaxed place to dine. I LOVE spicy food, so I usually opt for the a trio of pork, chicken and shrimp with egg fried rice with spicy szceuchan sauce to boot! Delish! Also, while many other similar restaurants would avoid putting too much shrimp in such a dish (as it is relatively expensive on their part) I am always impressed with this place as they don't scrimp of the shrimp! Their main courses are fairly substantial, so if you don't have a hearty appetite, perhaps skipping the starters would be ideal! That being said, the spring rolls are a must if you feel up to the challenge! Have often frequented the place on special occasions, e.g. birthdays, and the manager always brings out a free dessert for the VIP and the staff all sing happy birthday, which is a real treat, the cherry on top so to speak! Takeaway service is also an option, and there is a seating area available for those waiting to collect their order, with newspapers and magazines to read while you wait. There is also free Wifi, which is always a bonus!

As I drove through much of Ireland even the smallest of villages had at least one Chinese restaurant. There didn't seem to be any other ethnic restaurants apart from your occasional spotting of an Indian restaurant. So being the adventurous person that I am, I decided to try Emperor Palace. First of all, the manager Ming is a real delight. He made sure we were looked after from beginning to end. I really appreciated his hospitality. The other staff members were wonderful as well. We started with what is called lettuce wraps (in the US). I don't know what's is called on the menu but it's ground beef, spices, and cups of lettuce. It was delicious. For a main course we had a couple of sauteed lobsters, served on top of lo mein noodles. We had a side of asparagus. Everything was very good. Believe it or not, they make a delicious Irish coffee. I highly recommend it. Do stop by if in the Clonmel/Cashel area. Enjoy!

It's a nice, no frills cafe that provides outside seating in the summer (or did during Covid time). I've had full breakfasts here and coffee. The food has been good and we never had any service issues. Today the flat white did get cold pretty quickly but I was chatting so perhaps I took too long. There is a deli counter as you enter the cafe, toilets for customers, and a big central ceiling heater that warms you up on a winter day. There was a dog in a purse inside the cafe so I presume they allow dogs ( perhaps in purses only?).... The place is not large enough really to support this, but that's an owner decision.

It was extremely noisy - children playing with loud toys, mothers shouting at them for whatever the reason, and people chatting in very loud voices. We had hardly looked at the menu when a waitress came to take our order so we both ordered the same meal. We ordered BLTs with chips and lattes and the lattes were served immediately and were gone before we got the BLTs. The waitress who served our meals came and placed them on the table without as much as a look or a word to us and disappeared before I could ask for vinegar. I watched as other customers were served and it was the same - no interaction between waitresses and customers. We decided to just eat our meal and leave as quickly as possible but it took some time to digest because the bacon was as tough as old boots and the knives were blunt. Nobody came back to our table to ask if we would like dessert or if everything was to our satisfaction. I won't be returning to Niamh's in the future. There is a good fish and chip shop close by where the food is good and the service is excellent.

Went for a meal with my family, looked up their menu online and I thought it looked great, they had…read moresome nice sounding stuff on their website. Upon arrival to the restaurant, the menu turned out to be completely different. As a starter we all ordered Tiger prawns, in with garlic, chilli and paprika. It must have been a 30 minute wait for a simple starter with 2 other tables of two people in the restaurant. What was a little strange is that all the tables got their starters served at the same time, regardless whether they came in after us. The prawns were barely lukewarm, and certainly weren't tiger prawns as described in the menu, more like shrimp. For a steep price like 6.95 I was expecting a bit better than that. They were just prawns thrown on a pan with some powder chilli and some chopped up garlic. Very. very disappointing. And then came the main dish, another 35 minutes later. We ordered 3 medium rare steaks at 24.95 each which came with chips, mashed potatoes and veggies. First of all, all steaks were WELL DONE and were tiny, I have bought steaks the same size before in Lidl for about 4.30 . Second, the mashed potatoes were clearly reheated, very dry with lumps, not seasoned. The vegetables served with the steak like the mushrooms were also very old, and tasted gone off. Have had much better meals for the same price. Only reason why I'm giving the one star is because the service was very good. Probably the only thing that made the visit somewhat bearable. Will not ever go back, or recommend to anyone
