This mall is the definition of depressing. I know we're three years out of Covid and I'm sure this mall was impacted..... but DAMN! Literally store after store of closed down shops and vendors. I think only one place was open for food. Pretty much entire food court was a dark and closed down. I came last weekend to bring my baby niece for a little birthday shopping and it was awkward because she's too young to even know how terrible the mall truly was. They need a TOTAL revamp or just close it down altogether. Space is better suit for a park or some restaurants. I even tried to get my niece's ears pierced at a jewelry kiosk that does piercings, but the lady working there said that she was unable to because she already packed up everything. lol what?! Mind you, this was two hours before closing time. Pretty much that was the attitude for a lot of the stores there. All closing an hour or two before actual closing time. Found Classic Furnishings while walking through the Indian River Mall in Vero Beach. Hundreds of different options for every room of the house. From couches and sofas to end table and recliners - along with tons of accent pieces - I ended up purchasing a complete dining room set and a number of coordinating pieces to complete my living room. Polite and friendly - Jim was helpful in the selection process. Pouring through a bunch of photos on my smartphone, he was able to match a dining room set to several existing pieces. As for the living room, I found a great coastal unit in just the "right" color. Delivery was as simple as requesting it and providing a home address. From purchase to installation, it was a painless process. Less than a week from selection to delivery. 2.5 miles off the highway makes a good stop and walk area when traveling. This is our first time to this mall as we found it by accident. Overall it seem very bright nicely laid out with only a handful or two of empty stores. Food court is very limited but if you go further down to the coffee shop they actually have very good food as well. read more

I give it three stars because it's okay for the area its in... I say this because... when I'm home visiting... the option is Melbourne Square Mall... nuff said... On more than one occasion I have been in search of a party dress... something appropriate for the occasion: classy but chic... With absolutely no avail in the previously mentioned town, the troop and I ventured down to Vero B. and lo and behold... this Dillard's came through and alas found my dress and was merrily on my way! I have no hatred against this mall. I just find it odd that Macy's decided to put a store in Vero, Daytona Beach, and Gainesville, but completely skipped my city even though we had a Superbowl here. Mind you, I don't care for sports, but there must be something special about Vero for them to make that decision. Anyhow, besides that, I liked this mall because it included the AMC theatres and the Brookstone (I so needed a massage). And brownie points for Express, Charlotte Russe, and Victoria's Secret. I hate this place with a passion. Did you know even though you worked In the mall for 10 years and know everyone, apparently when a mall employee complains about you, they have no proof and I wasn't even there but they ban you. Place is a damn joke anyways. The place should have been knocked down years ago. Do yourselves a favor and add the extra drive and go to better malls in Melbourne, Jensen or West Palm. The mall is great, very clean and beautiful. It wasn't ridiculously crowded, and has a large variety of stores. I will definitely be back! The drive might be a little longer, but you won't regret it. It also has a ton of stores surrounding the mall. read more

I have always enjoyed visiting dinosaur exhibits and Indian River Mall is another example that validates the direction these aging, outdated shopping structures of the 1970's are headed. Looking around its obvious that extinction is inevitable, the customers started the process of abandonment some time ago and it continues today, but it's a slow death and somewhat painful for the aging merchants who also are showing signs the end is near. The retailers who once dominated the industry are getting tired and have failed to recognize the changing demographics, the impact of social media or the importances of the Internet as the customer base of the future for long term sustainability. The guilty are easily recognizable it's the same ones that are hanging on to the tired retail spaces at Indian River Mall - Sears - JC Penny's - Radio Shack etc. and there are plenty more standing in line walking blindly into oblivion like Macy's - Dillard's and Spencer Gifts to name a few. I can't say for certain when the decline started but it continues with no viable solutions being offered by developers who are looking for something new and shiny, the marketing agencies who long ago exhausted their ability to creatively paint a positive illusion that would keep the traffic flowing through the multi-doored entrances that were once required to manage the masses or any other entity including city leaders who have blindly siphoned tax dollars with abandon until the revenue dried up and the bankers swarmed in confiscating the asset so they can recycle the process to justify their millions in compensation bonuses, it's almost like the buzzards are circling and as scared as the investors and stockholders are they won't give in for some reason, hopefully it's not nostalgia or sentimental value because this black hole doesn't differentiate between space and time and it's no noble feat to go down with a sinking ship. Filling these boring empty spaces is becoming more and more difficult as the open air shopping venues continue to offer a better experience for the consumer who demands more than a Orange Julius, a slice of pizza double baked under a heat lamp, cottage cheese and carrot slaw from a blue hair cafeteria. I want something healthy, crafted, unique and exotic while sitting in the open air, with wifi, with friends, watching the world before me, you can't get that inside these artificial environments that were dreamt up by irresponsible short-sided, necktie strangled economist who designed for profit and never considered what makes the customer happy. On a positive note these aging giants occupy some prime real estate and even with the cost of knocking down and disposing of these poorly designed inefficient structures that are likely filled with hazardous asbestos laden building materials there's money to be had in the name of economic development but mostly in the name of global environmental responsibility. So when you see the demolition begin rejoice, it could be the beginning of something green, sustainable and beneficial to all of us like a park filled with flowers, clear streams and playgrounds filled with happy children running and laughing in the midst of all the concrete and asphalt wouldn't that be amazing? read more

This is the worst mall I have ever been to in my life. It is one level, there are no stores worth shopping at. I'm surprised it is even open. Dillard's features perfume on the counters that were popular in the 1970's. The mall also must have a serious mild issue. I couldn't breathe the entire hour I was there. I will never set foot there again. Wake up Vero Beach and re-vamp this mall. read more

The Indian River Mall is pretty nice. Seems to be kept up, clean and a few decent stores left. Parking is no problem. It's nice to have a mall in this tiny town. I sure hope that people support this mall so we can continue to have one. Tenancy is down probably because of online shopping etc, but I still frequent the mall more than a handful of times a month. Once you pass through Macy's which is nearly always empty you enter a vast space which is always empty. It's called the Indian River Mall and it is dying on its feet. I remember when there was a Disney store which seemed to brighten the place up. The mall was usually busy at the weekends and the food outlets were packed. The mall attracted a multitude of people and even Sears had customers. (This was a few years back obviously.) J.C. Penney and Dillards and Radio Shack and others were a treat at Christmas time. Now it's a shell of its former self and so bad a visit to the mall is actually quite depressing. They should have prozac dispensers at the various entrances. Modernize or die. Move with the times. Amazon and Walmart online shopping are real and expanding. This mall is stuck in the past. read more

If you compare our mall to other malls in general it isn't the best. However for it being the only mall and one of the few places in "zero beach" for teens to hang out its great. There is the movie theater right there and food court n shopping what could be better? Yes other malls are bigger n better but our mall will still get u everything u need to look cute for ur next date, or give u a place to have ur next date. read more
