Threads Boutique and Consignment is located in an area off of Dixie Hwy that has a number of antique, thrift, and consignment stores in Vero Beach. In the same plaza as Threads is the Antique Workshop and Estate Sales of Vero Beach. There is some parking in front of the building but also in a gravel lot on the side. This cute boutique is actually quite large and has two rooms selling gently used, name brand clothes and accessories from Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, Johnny Was, and Lilly Pulitzer to name a few. I especially loved the colorful Lily Pulitzer dresses. They have a sale system where one star is 25 percent off and 2 star is 50 percent off. Since this is consignment expect higher prices than say a thrift store but still discounted off of retail price. Note that all sales are final, no exceptions. Unfortunately I came in 15 minutes before closing and they sure let me know it. Perhaps if I find myself in the area again I'll come back (earlier). read more

Came in for a visit to this cute little consignment boutique and was greeted by a less than friendly woman. Found an adorable belt that I wanted to purchase with an alligator on it, but didn't have a price tag. When we asked the woman for the price, she told us she didn't know. I asked if she could find out or call someone and she said no she wouldn't and that it was the owner's day off and that no one would be available to help. I was astounded; why would it be on the sales floor if it wasn't for sale and why on earth with this woman not make an attempt to price it and sell it to me? She was also very rude when speaking to me. Would not recommend this store. There are many others with much friendlier environments. read more

I went there on a recommendation from my Dentist who consigns her clothing. I really like the store, they have a lot of high end items. I got a few pair of Lily Pulitzer shorts, a etc cetera top and while they were decent, they were still kinda pricey. The girl that was working was nice, the shop is clean and doesn't have that thrift store smell which is awesome. I also bought a bracelet and the bonus was it was 25% off $44. Probably still overpaid, but it looks great on my wrist. read more

I was disappointed by the prices on clothing that was well-used... I can understand that this is a consignment store and not a thrift shop, and I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount for quality brands, but I expect the clothes to be in excellent condition, not pilled or stained or worn. read more

Loved this shop. A very well curated and organized space of mid to high end clothing and accessories. Such a bright and beautiful ambiance, it almost doesn't feel like a consignment shop. We had three generations of shoppers and we all found a little something for ourselves. If I lived in or near Vero Beach this would be a regular haunt for me, for sure. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would... I am in Vero traveling and stopped by to shop here. Bought one item, after getting home I realized that the said item was damaged. When I tried to return the item the lady working the counter was EXTREMELY rude and kept stopping me mid sentence. I couldn't even get my point across because she kept cutting me off.. Very unprofessional customer service... not only was she yelling at me in front of other customers she refused to issue a refund for the damaged item.. I will never shop here again and I have let several people know how terrible this place is... word of mouth travels fast and this was a very unpleasant experience that didn't have to end this way... she could have done the right thing and just issued a refund for the 20$ damaged item... read more

This store is HUGE and beautifully curated. You can find items from a wide range of designers here, from Lilly Pulitzer to Ted Baker to Chanel, etc. However, I was a little bit put off that the cashier did not really give me the time of day when I inquired about some items. I got a curt response and a bit of side-eye. I was dressed casually (hello, this is a beach town) but was treated sort of poorly, I think because I didn't "appear" to be the target customer. This seems to happen frequently at secondhand stores but customers should not feel obligated to wear their designer items out shopping to prove themselves worthy customers. Needless to say, I left empty-handed even though I didn't want to. Also, I was a bit irritated to see a lot of faux designer items on the shelves. While they were marked as fake, I feel that supplying fake designer items detracts from the prestige of the store and also, encourages the support of a counterfeit market that exploits humans and artistic creations. read more

One week ago (May 24, 2017) I stopped by this shop, and purchased a Kate Spade watch for the full price of $200, being told it was NEW and in its original package. I though by paying a substantial amount, it would have a long, useful life. Imagine my reaction when six DAYS later it stopped working! I returned to the shop today (May 30) and told the salesperson that while I understood they had a 'no returns' policy, I would like a refund because they sold me a defective product. While speaking with the salesperson, the OWNER walked up with a "no refunds" sign & literally shoved it in my face! I told her I understood her policy but in this case, I paid for a new item and it broke in less than a week. She said "NO REFUNDS, period." She then said I could not come into her store and talk to her "this" way. (Note, I did not shout, curse, or threaten.) WHAT THIS OWNER DID NEXT WAS ABOMINABLE! SHE CALLED THE POLICE!!! (I guess she thought I was a common criminal & would run scared if she were to bring the police in.) She DEMANDED they send officers to her shop. I was heading for my car when I saw the officers going to her shop, so I went over to them, telling them they would most likely have been called regarding me. We discussed the situation, they went in & heard her side, then the police apologized to me. and said store owners di have the right to request them, but that this was clearly a waste of their time. BOTTOM LINE -- This owner made No attempt to resolve an issue, but instead chose to escalate it. If you patronize her, buyer beware! read more

My favorite consignment place in Vero. I go at least once a week. It's spotlessly clean and decorated nicely. I've purchased 2 nicely priced Louis Vuitton purses and several tops and dresses. All were clean and didn't look worn. Ladies who work here are so friendly and helpful. read more

Was super excited about checking out Threads based on the wonderful reviews. we arrived prior to their closing time - according to their website- unfortunately only to find that they adjusted the hours with a taped 4 over the 5pm closing time noted on the door (and website)! Checking the times again- Monday- Friday 10-4 to be sure, we headed home which was 45 minute drive. Again, excited to check out the treasures that Threads had to offer, we made the 45 minutes trip the next day, promptly at 10, only to find them closed AGAiN with no information in the door, FB or their site! Understanding that COvId has presented certain challenges, updating a website with accurate operation hours isn't one of the difficulties I've encountered! Disappointed to say the least. read more

Beware buyers! I bought a pair of shorts for $20. I didn't try on. When I got home I realize a tear hole in back bottom shorts unable to sew. I took the shorts back and asked for a refund or store credit due to damage. The sign says no refunds. The owner got very loud and defensive with customers in store telling me no, no refunds, for all I know you went home and sat down and they ripped. BAFFLED! I said absolutely not, I didn't notice until I got home. With an attitude she said you should've realized before you bought. She was yelling and rude as anything. I was speechless. She kept saying no refunds, I explained she sold a damage item and she should've inspected her item before selling or making it known it was ripped and for sale. I would never spend my time or money in a store like that. She could've been nice but she was bitter and extremely out of line for a business owner. I said I would write my review and she said well under it I'll just put sign says no refunds. My opinion.. the sign should say no refunds even for torn or stained clothes. Therefore a buyer can inspect the item since the owner can't do her job. Or take responsibility for her item when it was sold damaged. read more

I have been hooked since I first discovered this shop two years ago.The staff are extremely helpful, very courteous and tell me honestly if an outfit is not meant for me. If I could give a zero, I would give a zero. Very unorganized! They do not keep appropriate records. When originally signed up, rushed explanation as well as paper work. I had to ask to record my items, so I would know what was there, otherwise they would have given me nothing related to my specific consigned items . I called various times to be sure when the correct pickup date was and that a notation be made on my account not to have my clothes donated, I would pick them up. Each time I spoke to someone, I was told something different. When I finally went on my pick up day, I was missing 7 items they could not account for - two were brand new shoes never worn. They tried to say, they didn't put them out and I was supposed to pick them up. But when I consigned with the owner, she loved both shoes and when I called six weeks before pickup, no mention, I had items to pick up. So basically, someone else got money for my items. And to top it off, no public relations skills! Instead of apologizing for the mistake and trying to make amends, they were unapologetic, even though I proved their excuses were invalid.
