This was going to mark the fourth time I had visited Indian Rock Tactical. The previous times the experience had been a mixed bag. My first visit was the day before they first opened--I had no idea the store wasn't yet open but the door was open, so I went in. I was immediately and rudely told that they weren't open until tomorrow. I fully understand a business getting ready to open its doors for the first time and not wanting customers milling about yet, but no need to be obnoxious. That was a portent of things to come. On my 2nd and 3rd visits, both times the staff was dismissive. Not rude, they just didn't give a damn about customers, myself included. Both of these times, some friend of the store or an employee had come in and the remaining employees gathered around to hear the latest tales, everyone else became irrelevant. I actually like the shop but the customer support leaves much to be desired. Then there was today. I pulled up at 9:40, pleased to see their large folding OPEN sign out on the street. As I went to the door, an employee was going in. He said that the store doesn't open until 10:00. I inquired about the big open sign at the street and just rudely repeated that the store doesn't open until 10:00-- no apology, no explanation, no interest in customer support. Now I was not expecting to be given early access to the store but seriously, how about a slight bit of contrition for the screw up? How about "Hey, I am really sorry about that. Let me get the lights on and the store ready and I will be open shortly." Is that really to much to all? With IR Tactical it repeatedly seems so. I suppose that is my major beef with IR Tactical. They just seem utterly indifferent to their customers. I tend to buy a lot of prep stuff and like getting to know who I do business with because relationships are important to me. Sadly, not for IR Tactical. I will take my hard earned money to a supplier that cares about my business. I like to support local B&M stores, even paying a bit more to keep them going. But, as for this place, I won't be back. read more

I agree 100% with what others have said. The staff are total assholes. I had $1200 cash in my pocket to make a transaction, and the one prick acts like it's it's a pain in the ass to make a sale. No problem. I went to Safe Side. read more

Stopped in looking for some boots they had wide selection of surplus boots very cool store. Has a lot of military surplus along with guns and ammo. read more

Had a decent selection of surplus and a few guns. Nothing I was interested in being an ak person. But my gosh they were tail holes. Be more polite and I would love to make another hour trip to come look around. Glad I didn't buy much from them. read more

This is a nice little gun shop with a decent selection of new and used military gear. The used gear is priced well and in accordance with the condition of the items and the new gear appeared to be reasonably priced, as well. The guys behind the counter were courteous and respectful; not your typical "I know everything about everything" gun shop counter jockeys. I'll definitely be back. read more
