Highly recommend the wine here! We have been members for a few years and it's always a highlight. Blackberry pie is a personal favorite! Great out door seating with views to go with your tasting. Had Jim as our pourer and can't wait to come back for more.

Beautiful vineyard! Jim and Kelly were amazing. So worth stopping by if you are in Murphys and just a few minutes from the main strip. (Make sure to take a peek in the pond for a surprise). Great wine, great vibes! 10/10

Such a beautiful and quiet vineyard!! Came here in our getaway vacation to Arnold and stopped here for a tasting. Their vermentino was amazingg! I highly recommend their port too, we ended up buying a bottle to take home. I loved the layout and small touches at this winery and will definitely visit again.

My better half and stopped at the winery not realizing we would encounter such a beautiful location. We were greeted by Jim & Nicki dynamic duo team !!! Both introduced us to their wine selection wow all really good. The BlackBerry Pie wine out of this world, members only sure enough we became members. Stop by say hello & experience this beautiful location.

We had a fun afternoon at Indian Rock a few weeks back. We sat by the pond on a sunny day and enjoyed the tasting, watching the ducks and fishes. Tasting is 20$ pp and the pours were definitely on the smaller side compared to what I have experienced at other vineyards in Sonoma/Paso Robles but the wine was delicious. We weren't really briefed about where the wines we were sampling came from or their flavor profile, this was more of a casual setting. We ended up getting 4 bottles and decided to have a picnic in the garden under the trees in the property and had a bottle opened. Staff is friendly however do note that tastings are subject to a 1 hour limit and they did ask us to wrap up when it started getting busy even though we had purchased 4 bottles and wanted to enjoy it on the property.

I showed up to Indian Rock mid-week in July 2022 during a heatwave. I was traveling solo and staying at an Airbnb in Arnold. There were no other patrons while I was there which was nice because my dog promptly plopped down under the misters on their amazingly cool patio and was content to sleep while I tasted. The winery is located east of Highway 4 in a country type neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Murphys. Great wines as well!

The ladies here were so nice and accommodating, and the wine and port were fantastic! Really made our trip to murphy's complete.

They have a pinot growing in CA! The tasting room is an old dairy, great place to stop in.

Are kids allowed? What days are they open?

I visited this past Saturday and it was a warm sunny day and there were several families with kids there as the wine tasting was outdoors. The kids were having a great time.

I have been visiting the area for 10+ yrs before I followed the small sign on Hwy 4 in Murphy's to this winery.

What makes a wine tasting experience great is more than just the wine itself. It includes all of…read moreyour senses. Locke Vineyards checks all the boxes. They are located just outside of Main Street where most of the tasting rooms are located, so it is a perfect place to stop on your way in to town. The grounds are charming and filled with a garden and outdoor pavilion for wine club members. A perfect place to enjoy your wine flight on a lovely day! Upon stepping inside you feel a sense of calm not only for the cozy atmosphere but the lovely lavender fragrance from the lavender bundles. Kirsten the owner is a fantastic hostess. She is a wealth of knowledge about her family's winery and history in the farming industry. The wine list was presented to us and we were encouraged to relax and enjoy the experience. Don't mind if we do! We made our way to the tables within the barn and commented what a perfect place to gather with friends and family while enjoying some delicious wines! Our flights were brought to our table on the cutest little serving tray along with some tasty treats to enhance the experience. Every single wine was delicious! I'm not a fan of big jammy reds at all and none of the reds gave that taste. I'm obsessed with their rosé and Aspen white blend. The Sequoia red blend is also a favorite. We were so impressed with the quality and flavor of the wines as well as the entire tasting experience. If you are looking for a new wine tasting experience in Murphys I highly encourage you to give Locke Vineyards a try. Cheers!

She sent it as a private message rather than post…read morepublicly, but I think her message speaks for itself .*** Unfortunately, Locke Winery was not a good experience for our family this time. This was incredibly disappointing because we had been the summer before and loved both their wines and their hospitality. We had even bought several bottles from them. This year we went with a group of 8 adults and 2 children and brought food with us for lunch. To be fair, they have a no outside food policy but we didn't realize that until we arrived. They only allow wine club members to bring in outside food. My husband asked if it was ok if our two kids even had a small snack because they were hungry, but the owner's daughter's response was "no, food is food." We went to eat sandwiches out in the parking lot before doing a tasting, which we were really looking forward to and had highly recommended it to our family. However, the owner's daughter came out and said, "Sir, I don't know what is going on here but I am not ok with this." We told her ok, that we'd leave but we were disappointed. She continued to say it's the state's rules and not her's. She then said it was her property and she could make the rules. She continued to lecture us until I let her know she had made herself clear and we had already told her we were leaving. The owner, her father, came out to try and talk to us but we were done at that point. We understand that they have the right to make their own rules, but the snippy approach is what completely turned us off. Locke just lost money on multiple tastings, purchases, and recommendations to others.
