This place is amazing!!! The wine is great, scenery is fantastic, and company could not be better with Kari as host! The White Barbera is the perfect end. Go in for the wine, enjoy the laughs, and enjoy the property.

9/25/2020 called earlier today to do the Wine Tasting and the gal who answered said they were open til 5:30. I arrived and they had no one available to do wine tasting. The young gal who was tending the store was not very friendly and was very matter of fact. This place looks run down and dusty.

I love this little wine tasting bar. The staff is super friendly and the wine is also enjoyable. They are pet friendly which is always a big plus for me as well. The ranch itself is beautiful as well and is a must to walk around and check out. They only have three wines for tasting so it won't take very long. The tastings are free which was another great surprise. In the tasting room there are other local items for sale from honey to coffee. I would recommend stopping by for a sip and chat if you're in the area.

This is a hidden gem!!! Thank you for the memories

I was trying to…read moreplan a girls day out, and definitely wanted to do some wine tasting but didn't really want to be a Designated driver. I found Courtwood by searching online, and I'm SO happy I found Chris @Courtwood! I was a little bummed I didn't find any available tours on their website, so I reached out via email. Chris promptly sent a reply with pricing, details, and that it would be quite packed in Murphy's, so she would take us on a private tour around the outlying wineries (good call, none of the wineries were too packed and we had a lot of "private time" at each vineyard). Chris picked us up right out front of our hotel right on time, had a smile and made sure she knew who the bride was and made her feel extra special! We stopped at Twisted Oak, Chatom, Ironstone (for lunch), and Aryael Vieux (TOP FAVE!! I'll be reviewing these wineries soon). Chris took care of everything, all we had to worry about was sipping wine and having a wonderful and relaxing time. Hanging out with Chris was like having another friend just along for the ride! We picked up a loaf of fresh bread at one of the wineries, and mentioned that we wanted to get some butter later on, Chris told us she needed to pick something up too and that we could come with her! I can't say enough good things, they even include a slideshow of your trip (chris takes photos throughout the tour) and email it to you promptly after your tour. If you are in the area, I would definitely come here and take a tour with Courtwood,

I was…read moregiven the task of setting up a wine tasting tour in the Murphy's area for a bachelorette group of 9 people. We stayed in Angel's Camp in a friend's cabin, and being unfamiliar with the area, I completely put my trust in Chris to arrange everything for us. She exceeded my expectations (and made me look like I had done a lot more than I had!) She asked a lot of questions about our group and the types of wines we liked so that she could tailor the tour very specifically. Preferring the boutique wineries to the large scale Ironstone types, Chris took us to six different wineries that ranged significantly from Twisted Oak, to Prospect 772, to Aerial Vieux. As a large group Chris coordinated with Kristen, who also leads tours in the area to caravan us around in their large air conditioned vans. It seemed like she had personal relationships with the various winemakers and their staff and was able to get us some kind of behind the scenes cave tour/vineyard tour/private tasting room access everywhere we went. I have to say the best thing about the day was the lunch. Chris set it up on a long table outside Chatom winery and it literally looked like something straight out of Sunset Magazine. She brought local cheese and interesting dips, and the salads were presented in ball mason jars. It really was so well done, I think Chris might have a future in putting on lunches in addition to taking tours! After the tasting, Chris and Kristen took us into Murphy's, waited for us while we had dinner, and then took us all the way back to Angels Camp. I highly recommend Courtwood for small and large tours alike. Chris was just wonderful!

Ummmm ok so my 2 daughters are supposed to just starve.so my wife ask to speak to a manager.Soooo this is where "Leilani" the manager comes in and apologized that they ran out of food in the kitchen (unbelievable)at this point my wife and daughters are over it and just ready to get off this train, and Leilani PROMISED my full $320 refund 3-5 days LOL it's been 8 days. DO NOT HIRE - WORST SERVICE…read more We hired this company as a shuttle to take our guests to the after party after our wedding, and then back to the hotels after the after party. Due to the number of guests the shuttle agreed to make two trips to transport everyone. It arrived on time at the end of the wedding, guests got on, it left for the bar, and then we waited. And waited. My husband finally called them after about an hour and they said they would be there in 15 minutes. We kept waiting. Finally my father went ahead to the bar where the afterparty would be, and on the way he ran into the shuttle which had broken down. He stopped to help, our DJ went over to give them a jump, and meanwhile everyone still waiting at the wedding had to scramble to find alternate transportation to the bar. By this point many people had left the after party due to the late arrival of the bride and groom, and it really ruined the mood the rest of the night. The shuttle did eventually return to bring us back to the hotel, where it only had to make one trip. After this terrible experience we emailed with the management, asking for a 50% refund as the shuttle only did half the job. They refused to refund that much and in the end we only got a $200 deposit back. I understand that things happen, but if they had only communicated honestly the situation may have been able to be fixed earlier with alternate transportation. It was really a down way to end our wedding. This company is not transparent and I warn everyone against hiring them.
