Augbergine dolma (mild) - eggplant with tomato yogurt sauce
    Vivian C.

Came here for dinner after a long day of visiting museums. My friends and I wanted something different since we had been eating Scandinavian food for the past couple of days. We decided to come to Indian Stories which looked to be a local favorite. The garlic chicken tikka masala was sweeter than what I was used to and I didn't really get the garlic flavor. The chicken was dry and the inside wasn't marinated by the sauce. We tried the Lamb Balti for the first time and it was delicious. It had a black peppery spice that wasn't too over-powering and the meat was very tender. My favorite dish was actually the eggplant dish. The eggplant was so soft that it melted in your mouth and it went very well with the sauce. The dishes come with rice, but we also ordered a regular naan and a cheese naan. The cheese naan had too much cheese. I would recommend going for the regular naan which was fluffy and delicious. A perfect vehicle for curry.

    Chicken Balti

Delicious food and great & quick service. The chicken Balti has just the perfect strength to still be tasty and let the fresh coriander blend with the taste of the juicy chicken, crispy bell peppers and the Balti spices. Highly recommended - one of the best indian places I have tried.

Chicken tikka masala and chicken mango masala.

Amazing food and great service. I had the paneer for starter and mixed chicken sizler for main. Both were great! The naan was amazing too :)

During my 2 year tenure, I have tried various Indian restaurants in Stockholm. Most of the…read morerestaurant is owned or employ Bangladeshi people, so the food has a slight sweet taste to it (typical of taste from that region). Tre Indier is one place where I have found to be very close to typical North Indian taste in terms of flavor and spiciness. My fav dish is Chicken with Balti or Karai sauce, both of which are quite tasty and hot. Each dish is served with salad and a plate full of rice and naan needs to be ordered extra. The quality of naan is also very good at this place. Do make sure to order Kingfisher beer with your meal

We arrived bit late for dinnertime so the restaurant was not at all crowded leaving us with several options on where to sit. We were handed an English menu upon being seated which was appreciated. As someone who does not speak Swedish (although I'd love to learn) this was very much appreciated. The menu items dishes listed included a brief description so you'd know what to expect for those who may not all be that familiar with the cuisine. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, attentive and pleasant from our initial contact with the person who greeted us to the person who handed us our bill. This is a great choice for Indian fare in the Soder area. I've had my fair share of authentic Indian food and the dishes served here were flavorful, tasted fresh and certainly did not disappoint.

There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and the staff will gladly cater to any food allergies. Their lunch offer is a steal: along with your choice of a lunch menu dish, you may help yourself to papadams (crisp, thin bread), mango chutney to dip it in, and some dal (lentil stew). Every dish during lunch and dinner comes with a fresh and tasty side salad, usually including some pomegranate seeds and ranch dressing. As they are a Bengali restaurant, most of the dishes hail from Bangladesh, but there are some typical Indian dishes on the menu as well to choose from. I would personally recommend Morfars Tiffin Box - both mormors and morfars tiffin box menu items include a three-course meal resembling home-cooked food your grandmothers might make if they were Bengali. I also love Begun Torkari (an eggplant curry) and Kumra Torkari (a pumpkin curry), both traditional dishes from Bangladesh. In terms of Indian menu items, I would recommend the Palak Ponir and Malai Kofta (they are prepared in the Bengali way). The Chicken Tikka Sizlar always looks and smells amazing when I see it being served, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. They also have plenty of drinks on the menu - not only such treats as mango lassi, but also a small selection of Indian beers and one from Bangladesh. During lunch hour, they include flavored rhubarb water and mango lassi in addition to regular still water as a self-service. The staff are always friendly to my friends and me, and very accommodating when we order. They serve with a smile on their faces, and it's great to see such a pleasant restaurant atmosphere. It is possible to split the bill and pay individually when you go up to the counter after your meal, so don't worry if you're bringing in a large group! I highly recommend this cozy and trendy restaurant for its warm staff and its excellent food!
