Quite a tasty place and hands down the best ingredients used for Indian food that I have had in Stockholm.
I can't say I have been to all the restaurants hat serve Indian food, but this place was just fine. It was busy good sign, on a Sunday night!
I ordered the weekend special which was a lamb leg that was to be long cooked, and was asked if I wanted it hot or medium, I asked what kind of hot to which the waiter responded Indian hot, so I chose medium. Because there is another level of hot of course for Swedes.... You know it's true which really limits some international cuisines here in Sweden. In fact I was at a sushi restaurant earlier where a table of Swedes screamed for bloody hell as they ate the chili mayo saying it was sooo spicy. I had to try some and it tastes like mayo.. I don't have a super high tolerance for spice... But you know... What can you do... Hopefully as people travel more they can up their taste buds, at least I have hope for the next generation.
Anyways the dish came out, the presentation is well done, the meat could have been slow cooked a bit longer though, but the flavors were nice and you could tell they use quality ingredients.
The gravy however was Swedish medium, I could not taste any spice, moral, ask for hot next time, they use the Swedish scale of spiciness... Whereby anything with remote resemblance of flavor is considered medium.
Although the meat could have been cooked longer, I realize asking for medium spice was my own fault, however the sizzle skillets smelled amazing and the meat looked great on those, I will be back!
I want to try this place one more time to see whether it will be deemed incapable of flavour due to the locals lack of something called taste or will it have those dishes that bring the flavour! read more
