On two different occasions I had called because the girls at the front desk had mixed up the days for my scheduling, and rather than taking responsibility for their mistakes, they took a real negative attitude with me, and refused all responsibility. My time scheduled away from work to meet with them is vital that they provide me with accurate meeting dates so that I can request it off in advance. Even when I was put on hold their recordings speak of Indiana Health Group spreading the love of Christ, and then this is how they treat their customers! All I wanted was an apology for her behavior, and the office manager refused. So this is how IHG spreads the love of Christ? Even my psychologist agreed over the phone with me that the front desk girl was out of line and should apologize. I told her that I hope they make the right decision and her response was, "I agree". I said if I was to continue with IHG I wanted an apology, and they won't even give me that. IHG is willing to lose years of my payments to both my psychologist and a psychiatrist all because they would rather hold onto their pride and not have their female employees apologize for their unprofessional behavior toward the client and scheduling mistakes. What a horrible, horrible business strategy! It's this kind of side stepping that enables people to keep misbehaving toward others. It doesn't stop if no one is ever held accountable for their mistakes. Do not trust this company to do what is right and hold their employees accountable when they are the ones in the wrong. I was a patient of multiple providers at Indiana Health Group for 8 years. In the 6th year, I learned they had diagnosed me with a severe mental illness 6 years ago, and they had failed to mention the diagnosis to me. Somehow no provider thought this was important. I did have a counselor there who, without telling me my diagnosis, instructed me that what I really needed to feel better was a good Christian man. I also had a psychiatrist who gave me the wrong lab order, which contained another patient's name, date of birth, and medications. She also wrote the wrong dosage on prescriptions on a regular basis. Let's see....they also have extremely high turnover, probably because the company doesn't give two cents about patients and it hires providers who either care too much for the company, and so they leave; or who don't give a damn about patients, and so they leave. They also have policies that are very anti-patient, like forcing you to "bank" money with the practice so that when you are a no-show for your appointments, they don't have to charge you a missed appt fee but can simply take it out of the cash you're banking with them for this very purpose. They will not schedule recurring appointments, so you can't get on a regular schedule, and they won't send refills to your pharmacy, so you must go in for an appointment for every single refill. Most of my providers at IHG would not write a prescription with refills, so I had to go in every month, on time, or else run out of psych meds. It feels more like a probation office than a doctor's office, and the front desk staff and management in particular run the place like they are treating convicts rather than patients. This place should be avoided by any person who takes their mental health seriously and hopes to find a decent provider who does the same. I have had lasting psychological issues after going 6 years without knowing I'd been diagnosed with a mental illness. Indiana Health Group should not be in business. read more

If you live in Indiana this place is absolutely where to go for mental health purposes whether therapy or medication or both. I've been a patient with IHG for over 3 years and have found the care and customer service to be as good as one can hope for. There's been errors, misunderstandings, etc., from both patient and provider, but those are inevitable and the response reveals a lot about a company. When they've happened, it was dealt with in a prompt, courteous manner-never turned into a big deal. So, I'm not buying a lot of these negative reviews. One talks of "the love of Christ," they mention in their on-hold messages. IHG is not religiously-affiliated, so not sure where that comes from! Others come off as conspiratorial or otherwise over-the-top. So, as you consider IHG, or other psychiatric services, keep in mind why their clientele would be there in the first place. read more

This reception team is absolutely horrendous. It takes WEEKS for them to process necessary medication requests, they don't send any kind of reminders, and will absolutely let you deal with the painful withdrawal from your medication alone. For a group that is supposed to be mental health centered, they DO NOT care about their patients, and do not seem to have any understanding or empathy for those struggling with mental illness or neurodivergency. I am currently dealing with painful withdrawal of an amphetamine because I was told that I needed an appointment before a refill, even though I had no warnings about this being my last refill. When I tried to mention to the office that, hey, you need to give people reminders about this, my psychiatrist responded saying she did, 6 MONTHS AGO. Searching for a new provider after years of bs experience. Go literally anywhere else. read more

This place is a joke for managing patients as it's almost impossible for them to call in a script when requested. They take days to respond to requests and the medicine is often gone from the pharmacy that you as a patient had to go find stock of. super frustrating. Had a girl answer the phone after 7 minutes today to tell me she didn't know what was going on because she was working from home...then don't answer the phone! I would take my mental health needs someplace else as you can see from the reviews that they consistently suck. read more

This place is awful. The doctors and the care I have received have been great, but Indiana Health Group as a whole is full of rude, standoffish, unhelpful staff. You would think dealing when dealing with people who struggle with mental health the staff would be a little more caring and understanding but they're not. The front office staff is the worse, incredibly rude and not helpful. My favorite thing they do is when they make you scream in front of everyone else in the lobby your full name and the doctor you're seeing. It's hard to get a call back or for them to answer the phone about a billing question but if you owe them $20 it's the end of the world. read more

ASK FOR ANNABELL!!! I have had some good and bad experiences with IHG. Typically the front desk staff is very impatient, not your ideal when facing mental health challenges. However, my experiences with the psychologists have been overall positive minus a few hiccups. The only reason I am giving 5 stars is because of Annabelle!!!! (I believe that is how you spell it) I called in 10 minutes before they close without realizing and not once did she rush me, act impatient, or make me feel inconvenient. She took her time to make sure I got an appointment with a new prescriber. She asked my schedule, to make sure timing would fit. Without being invasive, she asked about my personality to make sure I was meeting with a psychologist that would fit me. She offered an in depth description of the psychologist just to confirm she seems like a good fit for me and got me scheduled at the earliest date possible! I filled out the new patient "pre registration" form online as they refuse to schedule new patients over the phone initially. No one from their office contacted me for almost two weeks to schedule an appointmemt. I called back to check on the status. They then offered to schedule an appointment but refused to follow the specific instructions of my insurance provider regarding the office's "deposit policy". When I tried to explain to the secretary what four different representatives from my insurance provider informed me regarding this "deposit" policy, she said I should just find another mental health provider if I didn't agree to initially pay the deposit (even after four insurance specialists told me I should have no out of pocket epense). I followed up with another insurance representative, told them exactly what the office told me, and they said they are making a formal complaint against this provider as they are under contract with them and should know their specific contract agreement. read more

We have been taking our son here for three years. He has run out of his mental health meds more than once, for multiple days, because the prescriber was nonresponsive to our requests through the portal and phone calls. I've waited a while to write this review as i was awaiting a call back to see if anything would be done about this situation but i don't think anything did. I went to Dr. Bigelow for testing, honestly I didn't need to be tested for depression and anxiety as I've been diagnosed for years but it felt like it wasn't an option (and as someone with anxiety especially socially i wasn't going to make a fuss) I wanted a diagnosis for borderline personality disorder which I'm pretty sure I never even got since it was not mentioned anywhere and we PAID for that. I am 22 (21 when this happened) and have never been one to drink alcohol, not even as a teenager. However Dr. Bigelow took it upon herself to say that I have been "abusing alcohol since I was a teenager" when I had never said anything of the sorts since it would be a lie. This is incredibly dangerous, if I were a minor and my parents received that report saying I've been abusing alcohol (when I never said that and was not) you have no idea what that could have done or the punishments I could have received for it. You're dealing with people with mental health issues, it's already hard enough for people to come forward and ask for help but when you lie and make the experience so awful that now i can't even trust the diagnosis not only will that scare people into not wanting help again (like it has done to me) but it also can make their mental health worse. On my report it said i could have been "faking bad" once again, you're dealing with mentally Ill people, what that has done is created a new insecurity into my mind where now any time I have any negative thought i tell myself that I'm faking it. We paid over $1000 for absolute crap. Bigelow should be fired and have her license taken away. read more

Patients are being charged $75 so any appointments cancelled less than 24 hours. I was told 20 mins before my appointment as I pulled in to the lot , that it is cancelled. I wasted gas and work time to come to this appointment only for it to be cancelled as I was pulling. Never have I seen such unprofessional behavior. Do not go there. You will be disappointed with their service as I have colleagues who have also experienced same issues. If I could give less than 1 star I would. read more

I have been taking to this facility my son for treatment if ADHD for several years now. The Doctor who prescribed his medication along with the counselor was wonderful and easy to work with. However, the front office personnel are extremely rude and impersonal. They answer the phone rudely and speak very fast with non emotion. They need to understand that they are dealing with in my case a child but in other people's cases they are adults dealing with some sort of mental illness or behavioral problems and courtesy, willingness to help and a kind word go along way as well as some inflection or kindness in their voices. My ultimate decision was to cease working with Indiana Health Group and transfer my son's care to his PCC. The face of this company is ugly. Train your front office staff! read more

With little bit of information, she will make assumptions and do more harm than good. When you call to make appointment, she has a lot of openings because she is not good. I started with Indiana Health Group in 2016 and can not say enough about how thankful I am to have found this care team! My first time here, Beverly Dunnigan listened to me and talked with me and assured me everything was going to okay and that she could help me...I remember how I was feeling that I thought she could too. It was such a relief. I felt hopeful and optimistic during what was the worst time of my life!. I continue to see Beverly and drive 30 miles each way because there is no better place...they have a variety of therapeutic programs going on and others to refer you to. What I would love to see offered would be virtual, face to face, sessions using something as simple as FaceTime. The rates shouldn't be any higher though and should be comparable to those virtual therapy apps like talk space, etc. virtual face to face would be helpful and beneficial in many situations for a variety of reasons. A simple agreement could be in place if needed. Indiana Health Group Is obviously a cut above with their new facilities and with all that they offer. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend this place...they see children too. :) read more

I had been seeing a specific individual for years and we had developed a solid relationship. She was unavailable at the time I made an appt. so they assigned me to some condescending, obnoxious and judgemental unprofessional. She wanted to switch medications around after a 2 minute consultation. I wasn't there for her to evaluate me but to have a medication changed that was preplanned by my professional I had been seeing. I stayed on my original plan since my prescriptions were good for 3 more months in hope I could see my original professional. She was on extended leave and eventually the prescriptions were needed. Apparently this bruised the ego of the unprofessional I had seen and soon became the talk of the office since even the receptionist knew of it. (Makes one wonder why HIPAA exists) but I digress. They eventually filled one prescription and proceeded to send me a letter stating I was noncompliant with there treatment plan. Well, which one was I noncompliant with? My typical procedure from the professional or the nonprofessionals? I don't know since no questions were asked and now I am no longer able to see my usual professional since I am essentially banned from this facility. I want to point out that I never have or will be a drug seeker and as a matter of fact never even filled the prescriptions from her and it's far from being any type "recreational" drug. (Zoloft) since I want full disclosure. In reality this has nothing to do with this issue. I only went there once every six month's and I'm self pay. They couldn't drain my insurance company so they cast me aside. A true professional medical organization would not have done this. I write this only as a " caveat emptor" if you're considering them. Just an FYI, I am in the last year of my masters in social work so you know who I will not be recommending. Ultimately make up your own mind but this gives you some basis for helping in your choice. If you like paying a lot of money for poor service, then this is the place for you. Our doctor seems more than happy to prescribe medication after medication, but there is no emphasis on fixing the problem, just hiding the symptoms. They have called in the wrong medication dosage into the pharmacy on multiple occasions. There is no sense of urgency to respond to calls for help, and if you do call with a question, the only way you will get any sort of answer is to go in for an appointment. Our doctor has had to cut appointments short because of family obligations. Funny that I still pay full price for that... Through it all, I think they do actually mean well, but they sure have a funny way of showing it. read more

My daughter and I both started seeing counselors at Indiana Health and we are thrilled! My daughter's counselors (one in office and one in their horse program) are more positive and encouraging than any counselors she has had for years!!
