Indiana Mall is another of these small regional PA malls that most people don't know exists unless they are from the area. Mall is a short drive from US-422. Has several decent anchor stores including Dunham's, Kohl's, and JCPenney, with part of the former Sears and Kmart still vacant. Interior of the mall is very retro and I doubt it has ever been renovated as it has two fully functional fountains. There are also several very retro sitting areas. Interior still has a decent number of stores, but there is without question vacancy. The slum lord ownership by Kohan Retail investment Group (or one of its partners/affiliates) is starting to show here, but it's not critical. Yet. One of the other interesting tenants is a PennDOT Driver's License Center. The mall still has a four-screen movie theater accessible from an outside entrance. There is no dining onsite aside from Auntie Anne's. Overall, I found this mall to be in better shape than I expected, and if new ownership could purchase it, Indiana Mall could remain a functional part of the community for years to come. read more

Indiana Mall is definitely a dying mall, but I will give it a neutral rating. It does contain several empty storefronts, but it also has several decent stores and looked clean. As of the time of my review, stores included GNC, Luxenberg's Diamonds, Maurice's, Bath and Body Works, Claire's, Spencer's, Kay Jewelers, JCPenney with a Sephora, the Shoe Department, and American Eagle. Other stores that I could access from the outside of the building included Kohl's and Harbor Freight. For restaurants, I saw an Auntie Anne's. I also saw recreational businesses such as Glow Golf, a party center, and martial arts. In the center of the mall were tables where small local businesses sold arts and crafts. The DMV also had an office for tests and photos here. I walked inside a couple of stores, and zero salespeople spoke to me, and I ended up purchasing no products, but I consider the mall to be overall OK for residents of this small city. read more

My husband and I are senior citizens. We love walking this mall. It is safe and clean and everyone is very helpful.

Not much left here at the Indiana Mall. Sears =gone. Kmart =gone. There are some eateries...pizza and pretzels, a few jewelry stores and clothing stores, a book store, a second hand shop with really cool pins and jewelry. We found some deals at Bon Ton...they are selling everything at a discount. The movie theaters are still there. read more

As an update, I really don't have much to say about this place. It is still one star because this does not feel like a mall, but more so as a community gathering place. This place could benefit of a total tear down like I had said before. It is so dark and dreary in here and does not make for a happy shopping experience. Stores are typical for a mall from this era. A one level mall that is quite easy to make your way through. There are several empty storefronts still in this mall, my review that is from two and a half years ago states that the Old Navy had just vacated, that space is exactly how it was from that long ago. Parking is plenty, but I'm not sure why, it is not a destination to make a special trip to. Build a new mall already. read more

The only mall in the area..it is small, and does not have a large selection of stores. Sometimes good sales can be found in the larger shops like the JC Penny or Bon Ton. My face shops are the FYE and bookstore. On a negative note, a friend of mine experienced discrimination at Aunt Anne's Pretzels in Feb of this year. He was drinking a water and working on his laptop at one of their tables. They called mall security to have him removed because they didn't like how he looked in his hat and sweater. He is a teacher at the college and a very upstanding person. He was not speaking to anyone or bothering them. They just wanted to show him that they could be prejudiced. Boycott the pretzel stand. I will never shop there again. Ever. Plenty of other places need my money more in this economy and value business from everyone. Regardless of gender, race, religion, or creed. read more

Not a big mall, but it's the only mall we've got in town and it's not too bad. The decor is straight from 30 years ago, so it is kind of a retro experience just walking in. Old school malls are a dying breed, but it doesn't seem like this one is updating anytime soon. Kudos for that! The anchor stores are K-Mart, JCPenny, Sears, and the Bon Ton. Other stores include a Border's Express, FYE Music & Movies, GNC, Electronics Boutique, Old Navy, Spencer's Gifts, American Eagle, Aeropostale, and Radio Shack. No toy stores. There is also a 4 screen Carmike Cinema. There is also no food court, but there is a Subway, Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Capri Pizza, a Japanese sushi bar & grill, and a Little Caesar's in K-Mart. A Dingbat's restaurant is opening November 2008. The Indiana DMV and tourist bureau are also located here. read more

I wanted to hit a few stores while visiting from out of town and it's a small quiet mall. It's a little dated, but very clean and safe feeling. I hope it doesn't lose any more of it's anchor stores because it has a lot of potential. The exterior could use some help, but the inside was nice. read more

Too bad kmart closed. It was the best place to clean your bowels and get a few days off work. All you had to do was eat at little ceasers and you were guaranteed Food poisoning for the entire week! Not only that you only had two stores stores to buy clothes from so you never had to deal with all of the choices you would have otherwise at other malls. Some days there are even farm shows so you get to see animals all over the place and eat compfortably at Auntie Ann's with the aroma of a barn to help get you through that $5 pretzel. It's okay compared to the other malls I've experienced. It's food places are good. They have Capri's Pizza Palace, Auntie Ann's Pretzels, Subway, Pizza & Hotdog Cafe inside K-mart, Sinobi (Mainly Seafood)and Dingbats. Also making it's presence are the classic Nail shop & Beauty shop. There's FYE, couple Jewelry stores, Radio Shack, Bon Ton, Sears, JC Penny, K-mart, a kitchen supply store, a book store, a(n alledged) Goth store, greeting cards, candy shop, & Steelers store. There is also a Gamestop inside. The only stores I've ever used were FYE, the bookstore, and Gamestop (once I may have bought something at the kitchen store). Oh and let's not forget the DMV, the nutrition store, I think there's a photo place, and a nascar place. read more

I went to the nail salon they had there and it was a long wait because there were only three people working not only that but it smells. They have there kids at work with them and sometimes they just run around. The prices are a little to high for so.eone on a budget like me so when u went and looked at the prices its 40 dollars for a set but not only that it's almost another 40 just to get them touched up. Last time I went I wanted a pointy nail and instead of using a file they used a sander and almost wacked off half of my nail. I would not recommend this place if your looking for good quality nails. read more

This mall is just too outdated. A few decent stores... But only one story, so it is very small. The pizza place, Capris Pizza is amazing. There is a small movie theater adjacent to the mall, which is nice with children so that you can make an afternoon of it. Overall, I would rather drive an extra ten minutes to Westmoreland. read more

This mall is like most small-town malls: one story, relying heavily on its anchor stores to stay afloat, and full of bored local teenagers. It's not the worst I've seen, though, and it hosts several major store brands and is the only place in town outside WalMart to do a lot of your Christmas shopping at once. Mall walkers are allowed, although I have never seen any when I am there later in the day. The mall hosts "50 specialty stores" including Spencer's, Bath & Body Works and Borders. Sears, JC Penney, K-Mart, and The BonTon are the 4 anchor stores, located on all 4 sides of the mall. The entire mall is obviously wheelchair accessible although a wheelchair might feel pretty tough to maneuver through some of the smaller stores. The shopping experience here is much like any other mall. It's possible to walk the entire mall in an hour, with a few stops to browse. There are often gatherings or small informational booths set up in the central hall and near the main entrance, which can cause some uncomfortable bottlenecking on busy days, and the only entrance to the KMart is through the main mall entrance, which is annoying when KMart closes 2 hours later than the rest of the mall. There is also no real food court - a Subway, a tiny specialty coffee shop, and Aunt Anne's pretzels share a few small tables huddled in a hallway, and an italian restaurant dominates the mall entry with the smell of bad pizza. If you need food while at the mall, your best bet is to head to one of the dozen cheap eateries less than half a mile away. You'll have your pick of Wendy's, Quiznos, King Buffet, Eat 'n Park, Long John Silver's, and a few others. Parking near the main entrance is almost always full but the mall lots extend in a full circle around the property so there is always an open parking spot (or thirty) farther back. The local bus service (IndiGo) also makes stops every half hour or so on 2-3 different routes, which is very convenient if you don't have a ride. The mall also hosts a small theater where matinee movies are cheap, but it's dirty and not available from inside the mall, a small inconvenience. It only shows two or three movies at a time, and they're usually the worst pick of the new releases... but then, it's catering to a college population. read more

Mall has potential. Needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Make it 2 floors since expanding would obviously take more parking. I'd love to have a mall right down the road. I don't consider this a mall, I consider this a flea market. I'm talking about the building itself not the stores . read more
