Heard nothing at all until I called on Saturday and was told "I'm looking at it." On Thursday (day 8) he said he's still looking at it but he thinks it might be the video card. At this point I've figured out he's just the kid down the street who knows computers a little bit more than average, but not somebody I want working on my machine, and he's not a kid, he's just a guy bullshitting me. So I called him on day 12 and he says he's waiting on a video card to test my machine, (because he's a reputable and competent computer repair company that doesn't have a working ATX box, right). He said he's waiting on the card and it will be delivered tomorrow. Then, about 20 minutes later, he called and the card had suddenly been delivered and he had already tried it and it didn't work. All that in the 20 minutes. That's wasn't a blatant lie, was it? The total net effect of taking my PC to him is that I'm out 20 bucks, which isn't too bad, but it took 12 days. I wish he had said he was incompetent at the beginning, that would have been worth 40 bucks in retrospect. His final experienced decision was that it was probably the main board or video card, exactly what I told him I thought it was 12 days earlier and he could have checked if he knew what he was doing and had the equipment and parts. The $20 isn't a deposit so he can figure out what's wrong with your computer, it's a fee you get charged for figuring out he doesn't know what he's doing.

I told him, Google. He said "Well I don't know where you're getting your information but it's wrong!" Then proceeds to talk to me like I'm a peasant about purchasing a timepiece. Then explains Rolex pulled out of West Texas and there is no where to buy them out here anymore. Although his store is still baptized in Rolex logos and Rolex green.
