In July 2023 we had our dream wedding at INDUSTRY! Everything was so perfect from the coordination to the actual celebration! Alisa was our client concierge, and she helped us so much throughout the planning process and made our wedding weekend so stress-free! INDUSTRY staff was overall incredible during our event as well because they set up decorations, coordinated with other vendors, tore down and packed up for us, provided the bar service, and we didn't have to worry about a single thing. The space was also very clean and spacious! The cost of renting the space is in my opinion on the pricier side, but that is how the wedding industry is nowadays, so it would be hard to find a place with the same amenities at a better price. Overall, we have zero regrets or complaints and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get married in downtown Indianapolis! read more

We had such a wonderful experience using INDUSTRY as our wedding venue and coordination! I was immediately drawn to the building's large windows and exposed brick. It's truly a beautiful venue. What really sold me is that we were able to to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in the same building while each having their own separate spaces. Not to mention the "getting ready rooms" we used for hair and makeup. INDUSTRY was able to comfortably hold our 200 guests while still accommodating the 4-piece band and a large dance floor. The space looked beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL, during our mid-December evening wedding. The coordination service deserves its own paragraph. Wedding coordination was not something I had put much thought into before I began planning my own. I guess I'd always assumed that my wedding would be fairly simple and wouldn't require a ton of work the day-of. This is actually laughable now. Because of Andrea, our INDUSTRY coordinator, I was able to show up to the venue at 9am and remain totally and completely relaxed the entire day. My mom even got to do the same! Andrea completely handled the decor setup, vendor coordination (band, florist, catering, rentals), room flips, tear down and so much more. We had several meetings leading up to the wedding day where we planned the timeline, floor plan and answered all of my many questions along the way. Absolute Perfection Industry is officially my new favorite venue. Coming from an event planner - trust me when I say that's high praise. This post-industrial space is exactly what the planner ordered! From the beautifully exposed brick, to the gorgeous lighting, from the wrap-around windows to the functional garage doors, this space is a feast for the senses. There are both large and midsize rooms available, or you can combine the spaces effortlessly. There also appears to be a small space which could be used as a prep kitchen. The space is accessible and includes a ramp for differently abled guests. There is also parking available on the premises. I can't wait to plan a pretty little event in this space! read more

The Industry was my dream venue for over five years. Once I finally got engaged, I was so excited to book with them. From the moment I booked I was extremely let down by the lack of human contact you receive as a bride. Every single email you receive throughout the planning process is automated from a robot. If you try to email your sales rep, you immediately get a message that they are busy, and you will hear from them in a couple of days, even days before the wedding. Multiple meetings I showed up to, my sales rep forgot about, which caused me to have to reschedule. You are nickel and dimed on everything and required to pay for day of insurance, $350 for a security guard, $250 if you use your own caterer, etc. We paid for day of insurance and sent it to our sales rep weeks ahead of time which she clearly did not read through... because ON THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING I WAS CALLED AND TOLD WE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH INSURANCE COVERAGE AND NO ONE WOULD BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL WE DID. She failed to do her job and review our documents, and created absolute chaos and terror on my wedding day. The staff is detached from you throughout the planning process and causes you to feel less then cared for. The building is beautiful, but the people are terrible to work with. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I would like to preface my review by saying that I do events for a living. I have extensive experience with most of the venues in Indianapolis. All that to say this is not my first rodeo and I realize that in any given event space is unique and there are bound to be hick-ups no matter how well things are planned. You prepare as best you can and try to be flexible as appropriate. Industry is exactly what my husband and I were looking for when we started planning our wedding. The ability to choose our own vendors was a major selling point. But as we continued the planning process we encountered challenges at nearly every turn. I am not going to get into the nitty gritty because honestly it is a laundry list and it seems like with every review the Industry team has a rebuttal for every single point of complaint or contention. Sure there are extenuating circumstances sometimes BUT sometimes it is more professional to accept the criticism and work to do better. And I guess that is my take away for Industry and anyone who is considering this venue. They need to do better, the opportunity is there and if they correct some of these issues not only will the venue thrive but the people that come after us will be SO much less stressed planning their event. Because having our event at Industry was far from a walk in the park. Read the other reviews and trust the opinions of those who've actually hosted events at the venue(not just the positive reviews of friends and family associated with the venue) because the lesson we learned was that if it seems too good to be true it probably is.... read more

We had a great experience at Industry for our wedding back in January. One of the best parts of the venue was our wedding planner, Alisa. Alisa was incredible to work with, she was super responsive, stayed on top of things the whole time, and I couldn't have asked for a better day of experience. She did everything from keeping us on time from ceremony through the end of the reception, to fixing my bustle, to managing vendor drop offs and schedules so we didn't have to. We had our corporate holiday party at the Industry and everything was perfect. The venue is massive and can easily accommodate 200 people. It is really nice inside with tall ceilings, soft lights, and large windows. All the food and drinks that were catered were also good! Plus, there's a huge parking lot right in front of the building! Our experience with INDUSTRY was wonderful. We were actually one of the first 10 couples to book the venue, and did so before construction was even complete. In fact, I only saw the space via FaceTime while my parents did a walk-through because we live out of state. I instantly fell in love with the industrial feel, and really liked the entire concept of making the space your own by bringing in your own vendors. I was having a hard time finding spaces in the Indy area that allowed for this flexibility, so this was a huge plus for us. It really is a blank canvas, and we took advantage of that. But I've also seen it look just as beautiful with really minimal decor. We booked our wedding over a year out, and considering the space was not yet complete, I knew that we would encounter a few changes along the way. One of the biggest changes was that INDUSTRY became the required beverage vendor - after we had already booked our bar service through our caterer. I was a little nervous, but the team immediately put me at ease. They took care of the logistics, matched the price of our current contract and worked with the caterer to amend our previous beverage contract. They exceeded our expectations, and our open bar was a huge hit. The bar staff was AWESOME, too. Because I was planning our wedding from Boston, I purchased the coordination services, and I never once regretted doing so. My coordinator Abby was amazing from the day we met up until hours past last call on the night of our wedding. She was responsive, helpful, organized, thorough and just everything you would want from a wedding coordinator. She worked on so many logistics that I will never even know about, and I didn't have ONE stressful moment on our wedding day. Seriously, not one. That would not have been the case without Abby. All in all, our wedding was truly the best day of our lives. There is a long list of vendors who made that a reality, and INDUSTRY is undoubtedly one of them. read more

I organized an event of 150 people at Industry for my company on a weekday evening and it was a huge success! The space is BEAUTIFUL and the staff was extremely helpful. Our event had a guest speaker who had a presentation and we decided we wanted to provide food and beverages as well. The staff helped me create an optimal seating chart/arrangement so everyone could hear and see our presenter. The staff also made sure I had no problems with the set up of the presentation and even let me come in a bit early to make sure the presentation worked properly (it did!). The separate space for food and drinks was great. Our guests were able to mingle and network, without feeling crowded, while enjoying the delicious food from one of Industry's preferred vendors before taking their seats for the program. The staff also helped me clean up after the event was over, even though I don't think they had to. I received several compliments from our guests about how beautiful the space is and how attentive the staff was. I would definitely recommend hosting a work event here. read more

Can't say enough good things about this venue. I came prepared to put things together all day in between hair and makeup and Alisa and her team took care of EVERYTHING - laying out table cards, favors, putting the ceremony space together, etc. Our day went SO smoothly from getting ready to ceremony to reception to clean up. The venue was unique and beautiful and truly impressed all of our guests. As we booked way in advance and during the pandemic, there was some staff turnover between coordinators but everything was seamlessly transferred and communication between everyone was great. We also had the most stellar speciality cocktail (blood orange dark and stormy) and truly just had the most amazing, unforgettable night. We can't thank Alisa and the Industry team enough. read more

I first looked at this place when I was looking for a venue, it had just opened and was offering a great deal. I paused, wanted to wait, and then a close friend booked it. I then helped her as her "Day of Coordinator" and was shook by how awful this place was. From not providing trashcans to changing the alcohol policies after she had booked. I was even in a coffee shop with her as she pushed back about these things and the person on the other end hung up. The "day of" finally came (after more stress than anyone ever needs) and I will say that the Beverage Concierge was one of the most awesome people I've ever worked with at a wedding! Super helpful and really kind. This venue also used to have more reviews. However, they were from the owners and clearly have been removed from the site. Good for you Yelp! read more

I want to start with what was wonderful about Industry. The space- it is so beautiful and needs little decoration to have a lovely event. They totally came through on their promises for a great finished space (we saw it long before it was finished). The tables and chairs are also lovely and fit the aesthetics of the venue perfectly. The bride and groom suites are awesome and way nicer than any other venues we'd looked at. The day of the wedding there was good communication and flexibility to accommodate things we had asked for. Our client concierge was pleasant and easy to work with from the first time we met her and I always felt like she cared about us and our wedding. We elected to pay for an open bar with beer and wine using Industry Beverage Service and the service was good and met our expectations. Let me begin this portion by saying I debated writing a review at all because I hate the idea of hurting someone's business with a negative review, but an employee with one of our hired vendors for the wedding said if I didn't review them honestly then they may never learn. The venue is quite expensive, but for the location and promise of 100 parking spots downtown, it was worth it to us. I double and triple checked that the parking lot would be protected from Colts tailgaters, which we were promised and was outlined in our contract, and when I pulled up to the door to unload wedding decor, a man I've never met before ran up to my car telling me to park "over there" and that it would cost money to park there. When I told him I was the bride and I paid a lot of money for this parking lot he backed down. I heard murmurs from our guests that we had run out of parking spots and many of our guests had to park far away and Uber to our wedding. This was very upsetting to me since we had approximately 120 guests and maybe 70-80 cars at the most, so my worst fear had come true and spots really had been sold to tailgaters. Also upon arrival, it was discovered that there was puke in the parking lot from the wedding the previous evening and was never cleaned up, even though I was told it would be taken care of before my guests arrived along with the 30+ cigarette butts around the front door. Leading up to the wedding there were multiple breaks in communication which led to a lot of stress for my husband and I. We talked to different people within the company all over the country throughout the whole planning process. At one point regarding a change to our alcohol contract we talked to 5 different people, 3 of which we had never heard of before. It was very frustrating to never know who to contact about different things, so I hope they will improve this for future clients. Because they have locations across the country, they also have offices across the country so if you pay by check, your checks might be forwarded to another state. In our case, a check was forwarded and "lost", so we wrote another which was cashed and were assured it was noted in our account that if the other check was found, it would destroyed. Well, on our honeymoon the second check was cashed and my husband's account was over drafted. I will commend their efforts to resolve this within 1-2 hours of learning of the issue. I know they did everything to make sure it didn't happen, but it did because of the strange organization of the company and bad communication errors that happened from beginning to end in our experience. If you can afford the coordination provided by the venue, I recommend Industry because you would not be subject to all the communication mishaps that we had. If you are a DIY bride on a budget, I'd consider other options or clarify that the communication issues have been resolved. At the end of the day we had a beautiful wedding and received multiple compliments. read more

We recently celebrated a wedding reception at Industry. The actual ceremony was held in another location. The event was a spectacular success. The facility was amazingly beautiful, and the fall sunset streaming through the windows as the evening began was a sight to behold. The entire Industry team were supportive throughout, with special nods to Ashleigh and Miranda (our coordinator). If we had a dollar for every positive comment that we received from our guests about the venue, we would be taking a much-needed post-wedding vacation. We served 200 guests, with a full dance floor. I would say that any more might be problematic, as we were very cozy. Not cramped, but cozy. Given the former industrial aspect of the space, the acoustics for the wedding speeches were a bit challenging for folks at the back of the room. The music was fine, but spoken words were harder to decipher. Suggestion to turn speakers towards crowd for speeches, or at least perform a pre-speech sound check. Due to Indiana liquor laws, Industry must provide the alcohol. Kind of a bummer, as flexibility was one of the reasons that we chose Industry. We found their options to be sufficient and their prices acceptable. Went with the premium liquor and wine package, and once again received many positive comments. Word of warning, the Industry folks are very responsive to emails and questions sent via their web site. Leverage this, and do not rely on telephone contacts. We learned early that was not the way to go. read more

I would like to start my review by saying that the INDUSTRY venue is absolutely beautiful and rustic, which is what we were going for. The tables and chairs were also exactly what I wanted. However, the management, organization, and communication with this venue is extremely lacking. The beautiful walls, tables, and chairs is the only thing this venue provides. They do not provide trash cans, cocktail tables, day of coordination (unless willing to pay additional outlandish fee), movement of tables and chairs to planned layout, set up, or tear down. I will say, my wedding was perfect, but it was definitely not due to the INDUSTRY management or team, but due to my awesome day of coordinator (not through INDUSTRY), organizational and planning skills, and family friends/wedding guests who helped set up and tear down. The beverage service was highly disappointing as INDUSTRY boasts itself as a BYOV venue. I had signed a contract with a previous beverage service when, upon obtaining their own liquor license, INDUSTRY made us cancel our previous beverage vendor and go with them. This process was very upsetting and frustrating. Communication, again, was lacking and we had to go through conference call with someone in California who we did not know. There was absolutely no one to talk our situation through to in person, which is very bad business in my opinion. I had to contact multiple times about corrections to the quote and notes which were never made. The final updated quote was given to us 1 day before it was due, making sending a check impossible to get there on time. Our beverage contact left and we were not informed or given info to who our new contact was until I contacted the director of venue operations as no one else was answering my emails. INDUSTRY did not apologize for their lack of communication OR updating me with the new information. I was sent emails from their "robot" with invoices that, according to my contracts with them, were not due yet. If you pay online, its an additional service fee, so make sure to send checks. Our family friends who were their helping us set up, were told not to move the tables a certain way. If INDUSTRY does not provide help setting up and moving the tables, then that is the liability they take. If they request that their tables be moved in a certain fashion, then they need to provide the labor themselves. read more

The Industry is beautiful and we were all looking forward to my daughters upcoming wedding on August 1 2020. My daughter and her fiance carefully chose this venue. We put down a $4000 deposit and the balance of $4000 was due in April (which was paid) By May the couple decided that it would be in their best interest and their guests to cancel the wedding due to COVID-19. They both work in the medical field and were seeing first hand the seriousness of what was happening. They didn't want to keep planning in case everything were to shut down. My daughter contacted The Industry and was told that she could move her date to another date but that wasn't going to work for them as her fiance will be starting his Residency in the fall. She was then told by The Industry that they would not refund any of the money because they offered her a different date. During the time they cancelled the wedding The Industry was shut down and had know idea when they would be opening, so how can someone plan a wedding. The couple made the right decision as Marion county (last week) put a ban on how many people can be in one setting (50 people max). We would have lost more money with vendors that were to be paid in full by the wedding date and then have to choose who we had to delete from the guest list. We feel The Industry made a very bad choice to not refund any amount during these trying times. There are a lot of beautiful places in Indianapolis and The Industry is one we would never refer TO ANYONE! read more

*WARNING* Do not choose Industry as your event venue. If you do, read your contract WORD for WORD. Industry is terrible about communicating with clients. They don't return e-mails for weeks at a time. When you call, they bounce you around from person to person. They promise to price match vendors but are sneaky about it, and it's up to the client to haggle with Industry on promises they've made. Beware there are positive reviews all over the Internet about Industry. Those reviews date as far back as 02/2018, but the venue was not open then. If a client posts a negative review, Industry will call the client and ask them to revise and re-post. You know it's bad when local vendors are telling clients, "good luck" working with Industry. read more
