I'll break the review into three categories: Micah, himself; the photos; and the pricing. Micah was very professional, prompt, and easy going. He would always respond to our emails within a reasonable time and would be honest about when he could deliver any of the pictures. He was flexible with our schedule and even shot our awesome engagement photos with just a couple days notice. He even worked while on vacation to send me some photos for the thank you cards. The photos that he took for the wedding day and engagement were fantastic and both my wife found many photos that we wanted in the album. It's actually a problem because I'm not sure how we will narrow them down to 50. On the wedding day, Micah and his back up were on time, worked their magic even while we were hectically running around, and even took some more shots after it was all over. However he referred me to Cana Wedding Films and I am so glad he did! Ken and his crew really exceeded my expectations. They arrived early and were very professional. They listened to what I wanted and captured all the special moments of my daughter's big day. We had about 60 guests at the party, but Ken managed to figure out who was family and include them all in the video. Also they are so unobtrusive, you hardly realize that they were there. The final product was so beautifully edited with great music, it was like my daughter's own little wedding montage. I'm a little obsessed with detail shots and he captured all the desserts, food, decorations and her little outfits. Yes outfits, there were wardrobe changes, which he captured as well! (I'm telling you, it was like it was her wedding). I highly recommend Cana Wedding Films. Ken will work with your budget too, although you would never know by the end product. Also he offers edits, but I didn't even need them. And I'm picky! The turn around time was pretty quick even though it was during the holidays and he was so accommodating when I asked if I could meet him on New Years Eve to pick up the DVD. Before the wedding, Ken's team worked closely with me to understand what I wanted for my video. Ken came to see the venue on a site visit with me in order to plan the filming. Cana asked about our tastes and the types of music that we wanted to use. On the day of the wedding, Cana sent two videographers for my wedding and they collaborated well with the photographer and wedding coordinators. I had no problems with the team whatsoever during the day of the wedding and that's all you can really ask for on the day of your wedding. Cana provided me with a highlights video, a full length, and all of the raw footage from the day. I absolutely loved the work they did with the highlights video and the full length. They obviously spent a great deal of time putting the clips and the music together. The sound came out very crisp because they recorded it from the DJ. Our full length video included the important parts of the ceremony, clips from all the major events and all of the speeches. If you've shopping around, you will know that Cana offers a very reasonable rate for the services they offer. I am very satisfied with what Ken provided for me and I am well aware that Ken charged far less than other videographers for the same quality of work. Vinney was recommended by a mutual friend for my wedding. This is more about his videography skills…read morethan the photography. About a month before our wedding date the videographer we had booked almost a year in advance decided that he was going to cancel on us for personal reasons. I asked our photographer if he had any recommendations and asked my friend in the music industry if he had any friends that we would even consider flying in. Our friend told us Vinney has some background in Videography. On his site he had more engagements than weddings I think but I liked what I saw and with about a month away I was willing to take anyone whose content looked good. The introduction was over a phone call. He asked a few questions, we asked a few questions--also knowing we were willing to fly him from SoCal and pay for his room. He sent us the proposal and contract. Vinney's communication is superb! It was very nice and he was easy to work with. He already had a pretty easy electronic payment process. Oh and the video product itself... AH-MAZING! He recommended pouring glasses of wine and sitting and watching it together, just me and my husband. Early on in the planning I asked if he could incorporate my friend's saxophone playing into the video. I had no idea when he would get it to start playing and just let him do his magic. He started the video with (I think) pretty generic music that goes with the frames. Vinney's magic came when he used the Matron of Honor's speech where she started to talk about how kind and caring my husband is and THAT was when you could hear my friend playing You'll Be in My Heart. I lost it at that moment. Like it was so epically good that the waterworks started! We've showed our family and a few friends and they rave about how well done it is. Vinney is VERY talented with his videography. His style is fun, smooth and matched our personalities. I would recommend his videography any day.
