I came directly from Gdansk in a delayed train so I rushed straight here to make my reservation. With my roller luggage and all. They thankfully had a convenient coat check where they were able to store my luggage.
Now as for the food, wow on all fronts. I ordered the Chicken Soup, Marinated Herring, Steak Tartare, Lamb Shank and a Meringue Pie. I just had to try everything! And sure glad I did. I don't usually like lamb but this dish came highly recommended. Ive only liked lamb on a few occasions so it was a gamble and in this rare situation, I won. The gaminess of the lamb was very subtle and the flavor combined with the potato puree and marinade was delicious. The steak tartare was prepared table side and the chef asks if you want it normal, mild, or spicy. I opted for spicy which I felt wasn't any spice but nonetheless, a very tasty steak tartare. The marinated herring was so enjoyable as well. The fish was tender and the citrus profile of the sauce was a fantastic complement to the dish. The Chicken Soup was as good as chicken soup could be. Warm and savory. And finally the dessert. The fluffy meringue pie was very good as well but after a few bites, the sweetness got to me. Still a good dish though but more geared towards those with a real sweet tooth.
