Terrible experience. Blown off. Tests weren't explained. Portal terrible. 2 stars because desk staff and phlebotomists were nice, but otherwise I don't even feel as though I even went to a doctor and what I was sent for (as a referral) I didn't understand and I was sent away more confused after the discussion and based on the facility not even sure it was actually an office except for the quest blood lab. Otherwise I would suspect it wasn't even an office! lol read more

Very disappointed with Dr. Weinroth. He didn't help at all, wrongly claimed cheap Cipro pills would treat my bacteria (when IV was needed), failed to send the Quest script as promised, and refused a paper referral. Quest wouldn't process my sample without it, and the office was unhelpful when I called. Complete waste of time and work leave--avoid if you need dependable infectious disease care. read more

I was referred to an ID for a recurring infection that hasn't gone away. Unfortunately I'm all too familiar with having different types of infections (bladder/kidney/etc.). I have seen Dr. Ranade in the past (years ago) and she was fine. I had been resistant to antibiotics so unfortunately I had to get an IV port to self administer myself IV antibiotics for three weeks. Fast forward, I called yesterday to make an appointment for this concern but she had no availability so I was put with Dr. Uyumura. The office staff was fine, the nurse Marissa was fine and Dr. Uyumura was fine. As people. Unfortunately, Dr. Uyumura seems very inexperienced in the infectious disease field. This is a field that presumably the doctor would have extensive knowledge about infections, treatments, causes, etc. I'm on my 4th round of antibiotics (from other doctors) which is clearly not helping as my blood work shows there is still an infection. He basically said just stay on it and we'll go from there. I've been dealing with this since February and it is now almost November. Off to the hospital I go. The medical industry in 2020 really is just the worst. read more

Dr Weinroth and Dr Ucanda were very helpful and professional in treating my visiting relative. They administered antibiotics via medline and supported for other relevant medications. Appreciate the care they have provided and going out of the way to see the patient is treated well. read more

Staff is not trained and Staff is not doing their job forcing customers to do their jobs, the wait time (Crazy) is too long even after having a scheduled appointments, You have to wait for hours before a doctor to show up, my father has cancer and he can set for hours, i told the staff and they don't care keep saying your next, your next, NOT recommended. read more

From the moment I walked in, the receptionist area was so kind and welcoming. I didn't need to wait long which is always a bonus. The nurse or doctors assistant ( don't want to take anything away from her position) Was friendly, calming, kind and lovely. Dr. Bagasra was incredibly kind, and extremely knowledgeable. I was so nervous and upset regarding my visit and he was so very calming and his explanation was thorough and he spoke in general laments terms without making me feel dumb. Even the lovely Lab tech was so very sweet and distracting as I had to give a lot of blood. And she had nothing but positivity exuding from her as well. I left the appointment feeling so much better mentally, than I have in months just knowing I have someone in my corner. Thank you all for being what the medical community should learn from. I wish all Doctors offices would be as genuine and patient oriented as this one! read more

They are lucky I don't sue them for not providing adequate care. I came to Dr. Alavi because I had a positive TB blood test, but a clear chest X-Ray. Note that I am on a medication that it known to cause false positives. All of this considered, the Dr. should have had the common sense to order another round of bloodwork to be sure. Instead, she wants me to begin a 9 month course of daily medication, which is very harsh on the liver. I went home perplexed at the whole situation. I called the office to voice my concerns and left a message. They never returned my call. Nearly a month later I finally called again and I returned to the Dr. to demand another blood test, which she fought me on doing. Finally, they got me the "most accurate test in existence today." Nearly a week later, of course, no one had followed up so I called back for the results which were NEGATIVE. The nurse said, "Because this test is so accurate, if it says you're negative, you're negative." So what would have happened if I had paid for nearly a year of medication or endured side effects, all for something I didn't even have? All because this Dr. was so eager to send me on my way with a prescription rather than considering my full health and care, and collect not one, but two office payments as a result. read more

This is the worst establishment in the entire world. Please go somewhere else. Went in for the second time, first time dr U prescribed me IV antibiotics. He said I should take them from home, or if I want in office. I decided in office. He steps out to "check to see if my insurance covers it in office" and comes back in and says it doesn't. Umm I don't think you checked... but ok. So I proceed to call my insurance myself. And sure enough, they do. So same day they give me my IV antibiotics in office. I was relived that I was getting the treatment I need. They told me to come back for 10 consecutive days. I go back the next day and the blonde nurse comes to get me from the waiting area. Doesn't even call my name just stares and points. Umm ok I guess that's normal... anyway I go in and the office manager calls me into her office. She tells me I need to get a medline after I refused the day before and made that clear. In office visits don't require a medline. "I just want normal IV" I tell her. She tells me that the insurance I have gives her office "too little money" for in office. At this point they had already started my antibiotics and everyone knows you can't stop it once it starts. She then tells me she needs to call the doctor again. I wait in the waiting area for about 45 min and she comes in and tells me the doctor said to stop the antibiotics. WHAT?? How do you just stop antibiotics. The doctors are terrible, nurses are aweful, whole establishment is a joke. Now I'm stuck with a severe skin infection. Thanks a lot, infectious disease consultants. Please DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE. Should've read the reviews before coming to this dump. read more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any doctors office. I was referred here by the wound center for a very severe infection that was resistant to almost every oral antibiotic. After trying to get an appointment for weeks I was finally able to speak to someone at the front desk. I had my first appointment on a Thursday and saw Dr.Trevor M. Uyemura, after examining my wounds he couldn't tell me if it was infected or not, even though I was sent there because the test came back positive for e-coli. He basically tried to tell me it's fine and if it gets worse to come back for another appointment. I told him that my doctor sent me there to get intravenous antibiotics since the oral ones are resistant and I do not feel comfortable just waiting and seeing if it's going to get worse or not so I asked him to please start me on the antibiotics as soon as possible. He said okay and asked me if I feel more comfortable going into the office for the treatments or if I would rather do it at home. I told him I would rather do it at the office, he then stated "let me go check if your insurance is okay with that" and walked in 10 seconds later and said my insurance isn't going to cover the in office treatments. I then asked if I could get my first dose in office in case of an reaction and after much deliberation decided that was fine. They told me to wait in the waiting room while they contacted my insurance again, mean while I was doing the same just to be sure. The insurance told both them and I that either way was fine and everything would be covered regardless. The nurse called me to the back and continued to hook me up to the IV. By the way I was very nervous and the entire staff was not at all friendly or reassuring in any way, the nurse was acting like I was there for charity or something, kept rolling her eyes and slamming things around which was very weird but okay. After my appointment they stated that they wanted me to get a catheter put in for the remainder of my treatment which I stated I was not comfortable with and that I would think about it. I went to the front desk and scheduled my appointment for the next day. The next day starting at 8 am I began receiving multiple calls and messages from them asking about the catheter and I said I would talk to the doctor about it when I get there for my appointment. Upon arriving for my appointment I immediately realized the whole staff was acting and looking at me a certain way. Fine I thought and sat there waiting for my name to be called, the nurse opened the door and just looked at me and pointed for me to come to the back as if I was an animal. She then told me to follow her to the "managers" office. I went in and was greeted by the office manager and she asked me to explain what was going on. Confused and upset I began to explain I was there for my second dose of antibiotics and she stated they will not be giving me my second dose without the catheter. Again I explained I did not want the catheter and I am fine with any alternative solution and she said she would have to ask the doctor. So I asked if I could speak to the doctor and she stated all the doctors are gone for the day and I would not be receiving my second dose of antibiotics. She also stated they don't receive enough money from the insurance company to do in office visits and that the doctor is going on vacation next week... I just sat there dumbfounded. I have never heard of a doctor starting someone on heavy antibiotics and stopping the antibiotics without the full treatment that is needed. (In my case it was 10 consecutive days) I told her I was very upset and uncomfortable with them just cutting me off the antibiotics that I just received the day before, she then told me to go back to the waiting area while she calls the doctor. While waiting in the waiting area I contacted my referring doctor at the wound center. The doctor apologized and told me to tell them that my wound is very badly infected and that she would feel comfortable with them at least giving me my full dose of my antibiotic treatments. I told her they are refusing to care for my needs and asked if she could speak to them, I walked to the front desk and asked if the "manager" would speak to my doctor and I basically got ignored. The "manager" walked in the waiting area 10 minutes later and told me that she spoke to the doctor and that they are cutting me off of the antibiotics because the doctor suddenly doesn't think I need them anymore. I have never heard of a doctor starting a patient on antibiotics and cutting them off before the full dose. I tried explaining to them I need my antibiotics as directed by my referring doctor and she said I can try another disease center. They literally gave me no other options and basically kicked me out of the office. I was in shock as I have never been in a position like that, by far the most unprofessional and worst treatment ever. read more

Never received my test results!!! Went for a blood test in Dec 2013 for a possible infected spleen. After weeks without hearing from the office I called in mid January to get my results. Didn't receive a call back. Have since called two more times and requested a call back from the lab technician or the doctor. Haven't heard a word. I've asked for a phone number or email of the doctor but wasn't given either. Extremely frustrating that I have to leave a message with the front desk and am unable to communicate with the doctor directly. One star for a lab that doesn't share lab results. I will be contacting my primary physician to request a referral to a different clinic. read more

I first met Dr. Weinroth as a patient at Inova Hospital and I returned to his office for a post-op evaluation. I have visited his office multiple times for various treatments. Dr. Weinroth is personable, direct, and has excellent diagnostic skills. My rating is a perfect 10. read more
