First, the rooms are spacious and patients can keep their door closed or open. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I was impressed with that they always had a smile and hello for the visitors of patients. I was also impressed with the activities they organized for patients, including crafts and music time. Nobody ever wants to spend an extended stay in a facility away from home but if you have to do so, a clean safe place with a friendly staff makes it bearable!

I WOULD NOT TAKE DEAD DOG THERE THEY WOULD KILL IT AGAIN! Place was dirty and had NO staff. Bad place. PT was come in for five minutes and talked and picked up my good leg. All is good they would say. Walk out. I ended up with two legs twice their normal size in less than 2 weeks. SEPSIS. .. my family came and rushed me by ambulance. One hour more Dr. Said I would have died. They considered amputation. Both legs. I was in hospital over a month. And in rehab care at a center for over 11 months. Came home with care givers. I went through hell. And now I will never walk again. Thanks a bunch for my new normal.

We even have started playing balloon volleyball in the memory care unit and the residents just love it!! One thing that is really cool to see is their point system, the residents get points for participating in activities, then once a month they have a point store where the residents can pick their favorite items from a "store" and spend their points! It is a big hit with the residents and it seems like they have a lot of fun. Sopa really does make an effort into putting things together for the residents. I would trust my family with this place, they would never be bored!

If you care about your loved one, I highly suggest that this facility be removed from your list of nursing facilities. Don't take my word for it. Go check it out and more than once. Make sure to check out all the different wings of the building. If you do choose this facility, know that your loved one may or may not be fed for every meal, he/she may not be bathed often, his/her clothes and other personal items will turn up missing (no one will care) and he/she might be getting sick quite often from the lack of poor nutrition, appropriate medical care and proper hygiene. There have been some good people there, but they don't stay because in the best terms, it is awful.

When we try to visit, it takes 10-15 minutes to get let in and just as long to leave. She would push her button to get help to the bathroom and have to wait an hour for anyone to come.
