I wanted to be mindful of her time, and asked for guidance on how to do the exercises myself - but she insisted on staying on the call while I did all my repetitions, making sure I was keeping correct posture as well as not slacking off! She also looked over my desk setup and recommended changes to my workstation (I spend 10hrs a day in front of a laptop) to ensure I was set up correctly to avoid injuries in the future. She followed up with me for a week to make sure I was doing my exercises and to check up on my condition. Its hard to find doctors these days who have that sort of patience and caring. I would highly recommend Dr.Devanshi.

I…read moresoon learned that the occupational therapy provided by their outstanding hand therapist, Terence, is exactly what I need for a thumb injury that then resulted in inflaming an arthritic condition. Along with the therapy modalities that Terence took me through, I also gained a lot of knowledge about exercises/stretching for my hands and what to expect for the future, so that I could now be proactive in my own care. I really appreciate that my long-term well-being was of utmost importance to the treatment that I received at Twin Boro, over all of the nine visits that I had with Terence. Having been a court stenographer for over 35 years and using a steno machine, on which the thumbs are the most important digits, I was VERY worried and anxious about my ability to continue. Setting aside the fact that I am self-employed, it is also frightening to come face to face with the fact that something you do without any aforethought has now become extremely impacted. Thankfully, I have the comfort of knowing that if I ever need to return, I have a therapist to go to that will take care of my issues. He listened to all of my concerns, answered all of my questions, as well as caring for any unexpected issues that cropped up (and there were several). He is the first medical professional I have encountered who truly treats the individual, not "just another patient." As I continue my journey with healing and gaining knowledge of how to care for my hands, I will always be thankful for the excellent treatment as well as the kindness that was given to me by everyone at Twin Boro.

TLDR: great care by Dr.Karnik Patel but terrible billing office that is still billing me…read moreincorrectly after 4 months of service after confirming the practice was in network and covered by insurance. The two stars is for the truly amazing care that Dr.Patel offers at this practice. After being highly recommended I scheduled an apt 4 months in advance to switch my PCP. The appointment was efficient and covered all of my many needs. I also got blood work in-house and then was sent on my way. Shortly after I was billed over $400 for my visit as the service was considered not covered by my insurance. Note: I had called and cleared the dr by insurance prior to my visit. After calling my insurance they said they would work with the Hackensack to adjust, after a few months it was adjusted again but still over $200. I repeated the process again it was $152. My insurance is still confirming that this should be covered as it is my annual well visit by a PCP. I am still receiving bills however when I sign into mychart there is zero balance, yet on Hackensack billing portal there is the $152 balance. When I call Hackensack billing they also say I have no balance, yet they are still mailing me bills for all difference amounts ($15.45, and $152). It has now been over 4 months and I still cannot get the insurance and Hackensack group to align and am unfortunately never going to be able to see Dr.Patel again due to these struggles.

I'm…read moregiving this office 2 stars because of the incompetence that is the front desk. 1- They say their office hours are from 8:00AM - 4:00PM and are closed 1:00PM - 2:00PM for lunch. I had an urgent situation and called for an hour starting at 8:00AM. Someone did not answer until 9:30AM. They said they would call me back and hours went by. I called again at 2:00PM because their machine says out from 1-2 for lunch. It is now 3:00 and their office is "still closed." I suppose since they close at 4:00, I will not be getting my call back today. 2- They only accept cash (sketchy and terribly inconvenient considering its 2016). Oh, and fax only as well. 3- Some of the women at the front desk are nice but others are completely rude. 4- Every time I have ever gone to see the doctor, I arrive 15 minutes early. I wind up getting seen an hour or so after that. Again, not the doctors fault, but the people at the front desk. Unfortunately I will have to switch doctors because this just isn't working for me.

He was all hands on-not using weights or exercise equipment but his gifted hands and gave us both a therapeutic treatment. He was not in a rush and made sure that all our pain had dissipated. He knows how to conduct a session and made us feel like his only two patients. If it weren't for Moe,we would have consulted another practice.I felt much better after this session and am ecstatic that I found this wonderful physical therapist that really knows how to alleviate pain and took his time. I said no I did not received any such call they ask me to reschedule my appointment . They rescheduled me today November 5th at 1.pm . I reached there at 1.09 pm . Received there voice message same time while I was going downstairs in there facility that I should reschedule with other therapist at 4.pm . They refused to take me , I waited there for one hour. As I do not drive my husband drop me and pick me after 50 mins . I told them it is not possible for me to come back at 4pm and when there grace period change from 15 mins to 5 mins. It should be mention upfront while making appointments like other notes about cancellation fees extra mentioned on wall at reception. They should call me ahead of time for reschedule if there therapist is busy . They have no understanding how difficult it is to manage to go to there facility with bone in bone inflammation and pain . How patient arrange for their appointments. I need to know what was there grace policy before and did they change it today from 15 mins to 5 minutes . And when they informed patients about it . My mother resided here for a total of 4 months before her very tragic and unexplained passing. She…read morewas very young with a very aggressive form of dementia. My siblings and i were out of options for caring for her at home and laurel bay advertises themselves as specializing in memory care . From our experience this is very untrue . She was put on and off several psych medications that took away any bit of her that was left. There were a handful of CNAs that really did give our mother the level of care we had hoped for but that was where it ended. We were called and informed that she had a fever and was being brought to the hospital , when I arrived she couldn't even lift her head or speak to me no one could give me answers they said she arrived that way . We were seeing my mom every week up until two weeks prior to this fever bc we had a brand new baby in the family and couldn't make it there . So what transpired in those two weeks that we didn't see her we will never really know . She quickly declined in the hospital she had clots in both lungs from what we were told was from her being so immobile . This was the same woman who 1 month ago could not be still , she paced from the anxiety and when she was calm was dancing all over . She passed away two weeks after being admitted to the hospital. She didn't have much for belongings , some pictures ( there were several lost within her first month there during a room change ) and her wedding band . In trying to track down her wedding ring which prior to entering laurel bay she had NEVER taken off , EVER i was told that it was found on the floor by one worker who gave it to another worker who placed it on the nurses cart. From there it disappeared. No trace of it . I filed a police report with no success. The only piece of her marriage , of her life before her disease, her 42 year marriage . GONE. To add salt to the wound as we were mourning our mother on our first Xmas without her we received a call on CHRISTMAS EVE from the billing department asking to collect a fee of 300$ that was owed from her stay !!!!!!! No condolences , just looking to collect . While a little lengthy in description this was our experience in laurel bay for the very brief time our mother was there, Putting mom into a nursing home truly was a last resort for us , we thought it was the right thing for her , we tried to care for her so long on our own and we thought they could provide her with what we couldn't. There is no doubt in my mind our mother would've Alive today If we had kept her home for longer .

Dr. Sanfillipo is brilliant, very knowledgeable and to top it all he is just truly a kind and a caring person ! I honestly believe he is an angel! He saved 2 of my babies- and I'm not exaggerating! I had 2 regular uneventful pregnancies and 2 very high risk, difficult ones. I would not be where I am without the support and expertise of Dr. Sanfillipo. I don't care how long I have to wait, and btw it's not that long. I traveled out of state to see him because he is phenomenal! His staff is great! The ultrasound tech. Debra - incredible, she really knows her stuff, and has years and years of experience! I had a scheduled C-section, and to my shock, Dr. Seidner used staples instead of sutures on my incision. Having worked in the medical field for many years, I know that staples are typically used for geriatric or obese patients, not for someone in their 30s with no medical indication. I never imagined a doctor would choose this option for me without any explanation or consent. The result was devastating. The scar left behind by these staples was horrific, barbaric, and completely unnecessary. My surgery alone cost over $18,000, and yet the care I received fell far below basic expectations. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor. Please ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't assume every provider will choose the best or most appropriate method for you. My experience left me with a permanent reminder of a decision I was never informed about.
