He replaced my joysticks with TMR joysticks which will be incredibly less prone to get stick drift and even it does, I can recalibrate the joystick magnets to fix the stick drift myself. We met with Troy Cartmill of Reap & Sow Marketing to discuss the design and building of two…read morewebsites for our business. Troy told us that Reap & Sow would refund our money if we were not "100% satisfied." We were quoted a total price of $4,350 for both websites: $3,000 for the first and $1,350 for the second, smaller site. We advised The Cartmills that we might enlist a third party consultant (our son-in-law) to design a logo. We signed a contract and paid Reap & Sow Marketing an initial deposit of $2,300. A few weeks later we received a mock-up of the first website. It wasn't what we had envisioned and we attempted to communicate to the Cartmills the appearance we wanted. In an effort to provide Troy and Bethany an example of the design we wanted, we asked our son-in-law to tweak it. We sent them back the mockup that included a logo, some minor changes to the color scheme, and some sample photos. Bethany called, accusing us of breaching our contract by letting someone else "manipulate" the mockup. There is nothing in the contract prohibiting that. During this phone conversation, we learned that a third party had built our website mock-up (without our knowledge or permission). Our original contract stated explicitly that the individuals working on our website were Troy & Bethany Cartmill. We were never told that the work wouldn't be done by the Cartmills. After that unprofessional phone call, and after finding out that Troy and Bethany (whose portfolio was what had sold us) weren't even the ones building the site, we were really uncomfortable with placing our future in the hands of Reap & Sow Marketing. We expressed this to The Cartmills and asked for our deposit back. They ignored us, and we haven't received a dime back. We have since hired a wonderful design company who were very professional and built a lovely website.
