Extremely Disappointing Experience with Infinity Accounting I regret to say that I cannot recommend Adam or Infinity Accounting. After being a fully paid, subscription client for 8 years, the last 4 years were filled with ongoing issues that made this experience incredibly frustrating. Here's an overview of the main problems: * Communication Issues: Adam was incredibly hard to reach. He rarely answered phone calls, emails, or text messages, making it difficult to get timely assistance. * Security Issues: Sensitive documents, such as credit card forms and tax returns containing Social Security numbers, family names, and addresses, were sent via email without encryption or password protection, putting my personal information at risk. This raised serious concerns about data security. * Outsourced Work: Without prior approval, Adam outsourced my tax preparation to individuals who seemed inexperienced, possibly students from his other business or job. Please do your own research to ensure you're comfortable with who handles your sensitive information. * Substandard Work: - Incorrect spelling of family members' names on tax documents year after year. -Wrong address listed on tax returns year after year. -Failure to accurately sum income from three W-2 forms, resulting in mistakes on Line 1A of tax forms for two consecutive years. -Mishandling of SEP IRA contribution reporting. -Failure to inform me that a dependent needed to file a tax return due to investment transactions, despite having all necessary documents. * Missing Documents: It took 3 years and multiple attempts to get Adam to send copies of a previous year's returns for my records. After consulting with a lawyer, I was advised to explore several options, including filing complaints with the BBB, the IRS, and potentially pursuing a small claims action to recoup my payments for services not completed. I'm relieved to have switched to a new accounting firm that is licensed, BBB-accredited, and operates with standard office hours. They are responsive, thorough, and ensure all tax returns are double-checked by multiple CPAs for accuracy. Best of all, I'm now paying $400 less per year than I was with Adam and Infinity Accounting. If you're looking for reliable, secure, and professional accounting services, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more
