The contractor would not come out until he knew where insurance was at with the claim and he did not receive any information back from them after 2 calls. 3 days into the flooding we still had not received service to remove the water from our carpet. In the end we removed all the carpet and dried ourselves out to prevent any mold or mildew thus preventing further damage and loss to our home. Upon a call to our local agent, John Allen, we were told that we should have reviewed our policy more recently with them and that it was not their process or policy to make direct calls to clients upon the filing of a claim. We never saw an agent, never talked to an adjuster, and they still don't even know for sure that it was a pump failure that caused our flooding (which has never happened in 8 years). The service from State Farm was appalling and we will be switching insurance providers. Regardless of coverage, we pay them a significant amount for several insurance policies each year and I believe the least we deserve is a phone call. "Like a good neighbor"? Definitely not. I wish I could pay my amazing neighbors who ACTUALLY helped us this past week with the money I wasted on the terrible service.

But I never received one phone call in regards to the issue, I was told they mailed me something and that it was not their policy to call people. Apparently my years as a customer were nothing more than a paycheck for them. Worst customer care ever!

If I could give ZERO or negative stars on a review, this company would be the one to get it. If you…read morewant to take heed to my advice, which I suggest you do, don't go with them at all. They may have better premiums on some items, but when it comes to having a claim filed (not our fault) and the motorist that hit you was uninsured, they don't care. They do the bare minimum to even help you. I spent 20 plus hours of my own time trying to take care of the issues that arose from the accident that happened on 12/22/21. Our car is being repaired now and as of today ready for pick up. I was lied to by my claims representative Quayshaun multiple times regarding my coverages, the process of reviewing fault, etc. The police officers in Green Bay, WI do not determine fault and will not do anything regarding it unless someone claims they were at fault in the accident. Long story short, they said I signed up for Uninsured / Under-Insured Motorist for Bodily Injury Only which is not the case. I have great health insurance that would cover anyone in my vehicle injured (as would anyone in my vehicle). My vehicle is blue book between 12 & 18K, why would I NOT have coverage for the property (being my vehicle)?? I have no options on the Liberty website or app to update my coverage, I always receive an error, so I have to call to make changes, so whomever I spoke to on the phone did not listen and chose the coverages for me. I assumed they did it correctly (yeah, my fault - I should have checked). I also did a $2,500 deductible because for 23 years I've been driving (24 years this year) accident free and felt that the coverage was appropriate. They denied the claim under my comprehensive/collision and put it under the Uninsured motorist so that I could have my $2,500 deductible waived and they would pay for it at their ONE approved dealer in a city of over 100,000 people. I utilized their PREFERRED company for the repairs. Now, my claims agent last week Tuesday (1/25) told me on the phone his supervisor was in agreement the accident was not our fault based on damage location and that they would move it from Comprehensive/Collison (deny it basically) and put it under Uninsured so they could pay/cover my $2,500 deductible to their preferred repair shop and I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket to pick up my vehicle. I explained that what I had to pay out of pocket was the last of my savings and I am unemployed and disabled, so we have minimal income in our household. He said we will take care of this for you. Put me on mute or hold and consulted Jarvis Cheney and they agreed that they would cover the $2,500. Friday of that week, I get a phone call from Jarvis after I was not getting answers from Quay and Jarvis told me that Quay gave me incorrect information and my plan only covered bodily injury for uninsured motorists. NO. JUST NO. Anyone hurt in my vehicle by an uninsured motorist will be covered by that uninsured motorist. As an insurance company, especially car insurance, their responsibility is to take the lead and ensure they are doing THEIR JOB and following through to the end of the issue. They are not doing so. They told me I have to pay the $2,500 even though I was promised otherwise (I asked them to listen to the calls from last week so they can hear exactly what was promised to me by their agent. I do not care that he gave wrong information, if I gave wrong information at my previous job, we had to follow-up and follow-through on the information given to the customer. They are taking NO accountability in relation to this claim situation at all by any means. Nancy Cantu is the supervisor above Quay and Jarvis is her supervisor. Long story short, Nancy called and I missed her call, but she said I could call or email her - that was Saturday at 9:38 am. I called her back the same day when I woke up which was 10:30 am to no answer to the call, left a voicemail and still waiting for a call back or ANY TYPE of follow-up from her. I have emailed her with absolutely no response to my emails (2 of them, not excessive) regarding the situation and lies I was told and amount of time I personally put into dealing with this claim issue. I told her that I want a response before my vehicle is completed being repaired (Soonest it could be fixed at their preferred place was the week of 1/24 and I brought it in the night of 1/24 so they started it 1/25. I received a call yesterday that my vehicle is repaired and ready to go, but have ZERO RESPONSE on the listening of the calls from the time I signed up for the coverage to this past week (which was not many calls, I had no need to call them prior the claim). I only received updates when I would CALL myself to ask for an update, otherwise I heard nothing from Liberty Mutual or my claims agent. I have done everything I can and now am involving the department of insurance in Wisconsin regarding this entire situation.
