Looked into the option of sending it back to Samsung (Galaxy S9) which would take 10 days and cost roughly the same as my local "Ubreakwefix" shop. So I gave it to them and though they told me it would take 2 hours (it took 3.5) I ended up with all new innards as well as the replaced glass. So the battery is new, the USB C connector is new (the old one had been intermittently griping when connected to the charger) and it should last well beyond my last T-Mo payment.
