It feels a lot like one of those pubs that appeals to the daytripper up here, particularly with the architecture, and of course of lovely beer garden down near the river. It is a nice pub, and it certainly has a lot of atmosphere about it, and in fact, feels that it is the original pub from up this way. The other thing that stands out is that it does have a nice selection of beers as well though the service, well, it wasn't the best, but it was still good.

An old pub by Australian standards. The high water mark of the 1867 flood is marked on the outside wall of the pub. The only thing that I didn't like was the massive cloud of smoke I had to walk through and stand in on the verandah when it started pouring. I'm not sure on the food but may try it sometime.

The food menu has reduced significantly and the food just tastes just ok. Service was ok. A lot of kids running around causing havoc which is not my thing. I'll bump it up to a 3 just because I liked the cold beer.

Don't let the exterior fool you!…read more I didn't realize how family friendly this restaurant/pub is. Ample seating areas inside & outside, and a play area for the kids. They even have specials on Wednesday night (Rump Steak for $16) and Thursday night (Schnitzel $16). I've become a regular here!
