I am very pleased by the manger at the produce department when I was in the store today. He went above and beyond to help me, with my cut produce purchase. I am generally treated very well in this store, however today this gentleman went great lengths I was satisfied with my purchase. I almost hate to post this review. I like the store overall, with great variety, delicious desserts, and nice produce. However, despite of the good salad bar, the hot foods portion of the deli was not good at all. I understand that it is difficult to maintain freshness, but most of the food was dried out and somewhat unrecognizable. I opted for the least dry-looking items; chicken tenders, potato wedges and okra. The first two items were very dry, and the okra was very greasy. I just moved back to North Carolina from Florida, and my cousin told me I NEEDED to go check out the upgrades that have been made to Ingles. She specifically told me to go for the wide variety of vegan/plant based selections as well as the awesome discounts they give on things that are close to going out of date. Let me tell you- I'm so happy I did! I got 3 packs of plant based meat for .99 cents, and a lot of other items worth around $6 each just for .99 cents. If you pay attention, yes Ingles can be a bit pricy, but notice the sales- you can find prices here better than any other store if it's on sale! They carry a LOT of local items and items made by small businesses too, which I love. Lastly, their bakery, deli, salad bar, and hot food bar are insanely large! A must try? The pistachio muffin! Scrumptious! This is our new go to grocer. I can't believe I finally found some of my favorite brands I haven't seen since I worked at Sprouts down in Florida! read more

Ever since they remodeled this store over the past couple of months their prices are so ridiculously high it's not even funny! Just a few examples, one pineapple is five dollars? Yeah I can go right down the road to Walmart and get one for $1.98! There are boxes of Velveeta, boxes of taco kids, spaghetti sauce,etc is insane!! I just spent $138 at Walmart and after I've done the math with what I just spent at Ingles the other day I saved myself nearly $35 by not shopping at Ingles today for the same stuff I need. I also don't like the way they treat their employees when I see some of them struggling to hold their bladder and a cashier spot because they're not allowed to use the bathroom only when told they can? This place should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat their employees and the insane prices...... read more

Very Nice clean store with a wide variety of products and great prices a nice place to shop

Some feedback on those 2 previous reviews: Although it sounds like the manager you spoke to about the dog in the car was carelessly dismissive, giving the *store* one star isn't really fair. About the 2nd review, they now have wine and a beer cave. Now my review. Yes, this place is out of the way, which makes it all the more surprising the selection they have, if you look close. Everything from my favorite kombucha (Buchi, made in Asheville), to all natural sodas, to ghee. Prices are maybe a little above average, but the payoff is selection. Some prices are amazing though...their private label organic "V8" vegetable juice is cheaper than the name brand non-organic. read more

I had to get groceries while living in the middle of nowhere for a month so I found this little store near the tiny village of Rutherford College, NC. So this location is out in the boonies. A little 10 min drive for me. There is a gas station associated with the supermarket. Located right on the main road. Plenty of parking here, the parking lot is enormous. Upon entering, you will notice the produce section on the far right, the bakery to the back right, aisles of canned and boxed stuff toward the middle, meats to the mid back, frozen section thrown in towards the middle, household items adjacent to it to the left, and some dairy stuff at the far left. The selection is like your standard supermarket like Tops, Publix, Safeway, etc, but the prices are on the higher end. It has your staples and standard things, but I was quite dismayed when I found no wine or beers, which was what I was going for here. Oh well. People are really friendly here and are quite willing to help. That's a plus for sure. Overall, decent place for groceries although the beer/wine paucity is a fail for me. Solid 3 stars. read more

I've been coming to this ingles for a long time, and popular to contrary belief ingles isn't "the most expensive grocery store" they have amazing managers specials all the time and if you put a little time into checking their ads they have great deals, and you can shop here like you would other stores to save money. A lot of the employees have been there a long time so it's nice going in seeing familiar friendly faces. I like that this grocery store doesn't stink! A lot of older grocery stores carry a musty smell, this one does not. They have a huge variety, the (new) beer/wine section is convenient. Today I stopped at Igles for groceries and while shopping I noticed a car with a dog in a silver car. I notified the manager and I dont think he could have seemed less interested. I did manage to get him to come outside where he pronounced it was ok since the drivers side window was cracked about an eighth of an inch..I could not convince him to call the police..I went back outside, walked back to the car and turned to go back in the store when I was confronted by the owner and a female employee..I asked owner why she left her dog in the car and the female called me a trouble maker and to.mind my own business..We both went back to the manager and he told me it was not too hot in the car..It was 85f and sunny which translates into 107f inside..I dont think he has any training in this area...so the management at this store has no cares about pets.. read more

Normally we have good things to say about Ingles in Granite Falls, this morning I can not say That. The young men who help bag the groceries were not polite, had their mask under their nose and didnot ask if we needed help out to the car. I do like to be appreciated since I send a great deal of money at this store. The cashier was very courteous . Store number 121. read more

Everything you could possibly need in a grocery store with prices that reflect that wide selection. However, they do have one of the largest, most diverse craft beer selections of any grocery store in the area. They also have a large selection of single 12 oz bottle craft beers that you can put together your own 6 pack for around 8-10 dollars. Large Wine Selection, great deli. read more

The recently built Ingles in Granite Falls is the BEST grocery store that I've ever been in--I'm 60 and have lived in upscale areas like Scottsdale AZ and Bucks County PA. The store is clean, well lit, and spotlessly clean. The depth of selection in all departments is so fantastic as to be unbelievable. Greek yogurt is usually hard to find but they carry 3 brands in various sizes and flavors--probably 2 dozen options. They have a huge selection of "healthy" foods from national brands including rarities such as Bob's Red Mill Quinoa flour and his Buckwheat flour. When you're looking for comfort food, they carry collards, lard, scrapple, liver mush and country ham. No matter what your tastes, you'll find it. This store is an hour round trip drive from where I live and we take out of town visitors there to see what they are missing. read more

This is a great grocery store...really bright and they carry a lot of gourmet items you can't find at other markets. They have a nice bakery and deli and a Bank of Granite. read more
