For years, my grandmother shopped there, my mother shopped there, and honestly everybody I knew shopped there. It was one of my grandmother's favorite stores, so Publix has always felt special and familiar to me. Everyone is always so friendly, the food is delicious, and their bakery... oh my goodness, the Key lime pies are AMAZING! I was so excited when Publix opened in Boone. Every time I visit my family in North Carolina, I buy four Key lime pies to fly home to Connecticut with me. The bakery staff is always so kind and helpful. They leave the pies in the bakery boxes instead of putting them in the plastic pie containers they normally sell them in, which actually makes them much easier and safer to travel with. I use a pie carrier bag, and they always make it so easy. Wonderful customer service every single time!

ALDI isn't your regular American supermarket and there are a few key differences that help them keep prices down. Starting off with, you'll need to bring a quarter in order to borrow a shopping cart. You'll get it back when you return the cart. The merchandise is a wide variety but they don't have everything and they generally don't have more than one of an item. A few name brands here and there but usually ALDI's generic brand. Note that the quality is similar. At the register, the cashier scans the stuff and then puts it right back into your cart. You're bagging it yourself, making your time at the register faster. You can buy ALDI bags or bring your own. Or you can find a few cardboard boxes from the sales floor for free. There was a time that ALDI didn't accept credit cards but they do know. Easy, inexpensive (not cheap) and a good shopping experience. Enjoy! However, I made a gas purchase in the amount of $80.72 at the location on 10/17/22. On 10/20/22, I received an email from CheckRedi (apparently a third-party collections company CircleK uses to process the EasyPay) indicating that CheckRedi was charging me an additional $35 for the purchase because the original payment did not go through. I might add that I have never had an issue with CircleK EasyPay previously, and I actually have enjoyed the convenience of the EasyPay system. I contacted CircleK customer service via telephone and email explaining the situation. I received no response from either. I contacted CheckRedi and explained the situation to 3 different managers. They were absolutely unapologetic and were not willing to admit the ACH transfer could have been a glitch or in error. I told CheckRedi that I was disputing the $35 charge from them, however, I would absolutely agree to pay the original purchase amount I actually did owe. CheckRedi would not accept this. I then started to CheckRedi that I am officially disputing the charge and will take this to whatever level needed to expose this egregious customer service. Well, here we are. When and IF CircleK customer service gets back to me and resolves this issue, I will surely change the nature of this review. I trust this will happen in time as I have no reason not to expect otherwise. However, I believe CircleK needs to understand how the actions of CheckRedi are detrimental to the customers of CircleK.
