this review is simply about proper customer service and respect..checked myself out in the self serve lane only had 3 items use this method most of my visits, I definitely know the process. for some reason after the transaction went thru the screen displayed to hold on help was on the way..I wanted my receipt so I waited as this was middle of the afternoon there was no crowd. I waited a more than appropriate time. The front assistant that manages the self serve was busy talking with a sister and finally loved her way over and popped off with a FALSE and RUDE comment that I didn't need to be moving my items around. First I didn't move anything only 3 items in one bag that was clearly on the scale or the transaction wouldn't have gone thru. Even if she thought I had moved the bag it's her place to assist not critique. too lazy to do job would rather talk. this store is the WORST read more

This store manager should be ashamed of the condition of the electric carts at this location. The batteries need to be replaced in all of the carts. You can't even go through the store without them stopping. Friends and family have complained about them and nothing has been done. The arms on the carts are falling off and the carts are in terrible condition. This is a huge store and it is rediculous that disabled individuals aren't able to shop there in comfort. read more

Elberton is my home town and I love to visit. However the cleanilness of the deli and Corner Cafe at Ingles was terrible. There were so many flies...everywhere. Please get those areas cleaned up and make it more presentable. read more

The prices are good compared to other grocery stores and the selection of fruits and vegetables is great ! However , the staff in the deli area are so rude !!!! During three different visits I have asked questions about the choices and meals . While a simple reply would do I had two other people interrupt as though I was trying to try to get something for free or trick them. When a customer asks questions it is not necessary to have another employee and or two rush over to the counter to answer or to butt in rudely. To the customer on the other side of the counter they appear to be very aggressive !!!! On several occasions I was told I had to take the last of the chicken which had been sitting on top of the counter after an elderly gentleman decided he did not want the food. I explained that I had waited for 10 mins while they prepared the things he needed and I should not have to have what he did not want. The staff was extremely rude to me !! There was hot chicken which they would not serve me. They also do not understand the pricing and refused to sell me an extra breast . The cashers use curse words and it seems they do not know "FRIGGIN" is offensive . One of the cashiers actually told me she was on her menses and had bad cramps when I asked if she was having a nice day . She said she had not been given a break and was hungry so she ate a candy bar out of her pocket while she rang up my food. The store is very clean and the aisles are clean and well organized but the deli staff and cashiers need more training. read more

I don't normally review Grocery Stores, but I have to give props to this one in Particular. Wow what a store! I would love to have a store that is even as close to as nice as Ingles in Pennsylvania. I was blown away by the amount of Organic and GMO free foods that this Grocery Store offers as well as their quality of produce and an absolutely amazing deli. While on the road we stopped in here to grab some snacks to hold us over while driving, and I actually ended up getting a Chicken Dinner with 2 sides and hush puppies for 5 bucks! A killer deal and amazingly good. An amazing Store with Amazing selections, and great prices. Glad we stopped. read more

I used Ingles as the caterer for my small, family wedding. They were phenomenal. The meat and cheese trays were fresh and tasty. If there had been paper doilies underneath the food, the presentation would have been perfect. read more

this is a really huge grocery store for a rural area. they have a huge deli and a huge salad bar and cold bar. you can find items here that you cant normally find in a small town grocery store. they also have a pharmacy which is nice. they have clean restrooms and eating area. this ingles also has a gas station. they do have a small organic selection of foods also. there bakery is really nice also. read more

If you want good fresh produce, head to Ingles! Also, this store has everything -- even a bookstore! So be ready to walk because the store is huge. Very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. read more

This store has a lot to be desired. I have worked for Winn Dixie and Harris Teeter, if we ever had as much out of date product we would have been fired immediately!!! Not just one department, deli, meat, grocery, dairy and the produce is either rotten or dried out(loose mushrooms)!! I have contacted corporate many times WITH pictures and nothing is done about the situation! BEWARE of the seafood as at times you can smell the ammonia when you walk into the store or when you get close, the "fresh" tuna is usually dark around the edge and others are dried out!! Watch the deli employees that eat with their hands and go to fix your meal or slice your meat, they also use meat department meat that went out of date the day before in the hot bar!!! Check your grocery food product for an expiration date....I took 20 something bottles of salad dressing to the management and all they had to say was "thanks". This store is really pitiful as compared to the one in Hull on Hwy 29!!! They jack up the prices thinking we won't drive a few extra miles for a quality store but they are mistaken!!!
