After that it was PAs and Nurse Practitioners. Not a problem as they were all well above average, some even excellent. 5 years of good care caused me to reccomend his practice to many. Not any more. The last 12 months I and my wife have experienced one mistake or unprofessional conduct after another. The latest caused me to break away entirely from his practice. I made an appointment as my right leg had swelled to roughly 160% its normal size. It was very red and painful. Very hot as well. I had aquire a wound on it at work a week before. It was extremely slow in healing. A friend, one who has a mutual friend that lost his leg to Cellulitis, strongly urged me to seek medical care immediately. I did my 'homework' and every symptom I was experiencing (an overall feeling of sickness, temperature changes, sweating in normal temperatures etc..) besides the obvious swelling, heat and redness led me to believe that the chances were in favor of my having contracted Cellulitis. The nurse practitioner that I was assigned at Doctor Petty's was unfriendly and uncaring. I told her of my concern. She said, no, if it was Cellulitis, your leg would be red. How red did she 'need' it to be? It was BRIGHT red. She diagnosed a possible blood clot. Fine. No one wants that. She scheduled me for a sonogram. I asked her if she would take a blood sample to determine if an infection was in my leg, and, if so, prescribe an antibiotic. "No. I'm not going to do that"; was her response. Why not? I was already there, they have a phlebotomist on staff and it was best protocol since Cellulitis can easily and very quickly cause the loss of a limb or even death. She simply would not do it. I had the sonogram an hour later. No blood clot. Two days later, I went to an emergency care clinic. The doctor there immediately took a blood sample and found an infection. Diagnosis: Cellulitis. Action: Antibiotics were prescribed. This was all done in 30 minutes. This is why I will never step into Doctor Petty's office again and why I will encourage others to avoid his practice. People deserve at least basic care. I did not receive that for from his practice for 12 months. He's fired.

I cannot say enough positive things about Mrs. Henry. She immediately addressed my medical concerns with seriousness and compassion, and she worked with me to find real, effective solutions. She is extremely knowledgeable across a wide range of conditions and consistently treats me with kindness and respect. My husband typically avoids going to the doctor whenever possible, yet he feels comfortable visiting Mrs. Henry's office. He, too, is always treated with respect, kindness, and dignity. Unfortunately, my husband and I will be moving out of state soon, and one of the things we will miss most is having Mrs. Henry as our medical care provider. There have radiology and lab work onsite - so you don't have to go to another place as a rule to get work done. Doctors fulfill prescriptions with their laptops and straight to your pharmacy electronically so you don't have to run with an Rx script in your hand to a pharmacy. I wish the seating in the waiting area was more comfortable. When you're sick with a fever and waiting for an hour to go in for your appointment, it would be nice if there were comfortable leather couches instead of those stiff wooden chairs. I am not a fan of the billing here. I will go in, make my copay, then see the doc and leave. Then about 6 weeks later, I'll get some random crazy bill for $300 - or something. Nothing in the bill indicates that your insurance may still cover this - so if you pay it, good-bye money. These are cycle bills - a waste of trees and heart-attacks, because if you just wait a while, turns out your insurance covered most of it - but not always. The doctor I had in Denton several years ago knew how much lab work cost, how much medicine cost and what was covered by insurance. I so appreciated him! I never got surprises. Here, it's like a new surprise every time you visit. I find it very aggravating that the people here don't know how much things are going to cost and they just send you for this or that. I hate having to come in and make a copay just to get a prescription for an anti-fungal - it's not like I'm getting an exam. My other doctor was far more considerate of how much his patients had to spend out of pocket. If it wasn't 160 miles round trip, I'd still be going to my doctor in Denton.

I can contact them by email, phone or in person and I always get great service. She shares the office with a chiropractor so I'm guessing that's why Yelp had her under that category. She is a family practice doctor. Her Technician Lisa is fantastic, thorough and pleasant. The reception staff are wonderful. Doctor Bessonett spends time talking to her patients and gets to know them individually. She accepts several different insurance carriers. 5 stars!!

Her attention to detail, compassion & feeling like she's your BFF is rare & basically obsolete in 2025!! She has been our doc for 10 yrs plus. Dr. Eckert's team will do their best to fit you in for urgent/non-emergency medical issues. It is hard to get in with her on sick visits but I think that's because she is so excellent!
