Yeah I actually quite liked this one. Odd because Camden Lock isn't my favourite part of the city, normally ends with me filled with dread and loathing. The Inhabition Coffee shop is only just far enough away from all that market nonsense. The walls are covered in posters for local events, which is a touch I like. And the atmosphere is just really friendly and pleasant. Best thing to get would be a milkshake, girl I was with took me here and insisted and it turns out, they are actually really good. The the little window display about a missing elephant - last seen getting on a bus, with a 'photo' - was actually quite funny. Surprisingly good little breakfast cafe in Camden. You're obviously in here looking for a full english, and it doesn't disappoint. Breakfast is £6.50 for a normal, or £7.50 for the "London Breakfast" which includes bubble and squeak (which was excellent) and the all important black pudding. So what's the lowdown: 2 poached eggs - nice touch, you can also have them scrambled Beans - served in a separate container - don't panic when they're not on your plate like I did... Great sausages, 2 of them 3 rashers of bacon Mushrooms Black pudding Bubble and squeak Grilled tomato Mountains of undercooked toast (just how I like it) Loads of tea in teapots It's basically just what the doctor ordered. It was so bloody cold outside that I probably would have been just as happy walking directly through the gates of hell to stay warm... ... it was just by pure luck that Inhabition happened to be fantastic. The outside awning said "Hot Food" and we were drawn in like moths to a flame. Upon walking in, I was thrilled to feel an instant warmth from the owner who had us sipping curiously strong coffee before we could even manage to thaw our our wallets. Once my eyes defrosted, I noticed the tiny coffee shop was quite homey; plastered with concert posters, most of which took place at one of the many near by venues. Yelp did not lead me astray...! (it rarely does). Looking for a spot around Camden Market for coffee and a bite, I picked this shop based on the musings of my fellow yelpers. And, it did not disappoint. Literally right across the street from the Stables Market entrance lies Inhabition Coffee Shop (I'd like the backstory on the name...anyone, anyone?) -- a welcome respite from the inevitable throngs of people, stalls, wares, cheap knock offs and pedestrian hijinks. Sometimes you need to refuel...indoors. My pal and I popped in, grabbed a table and decided that indeed we'd have a little bite to eat. I opted for the "regular" sized (small) English Breakfast and a Double Americano. My coffee arrived fresh in a few minutes and was just what I needed to finally, fully wake up. The English was AOK, nothing to write home about but was whipped up quickly and rang in at just under 6 quid, so not bad. Surely I was full for most of the rest of the day. The Double Americano's size was hefty, just how I like it...and I enjoyed it with hot milk. My compadre had the chai tea (brewed with the milk, nice touch!) and a sandwich, approvals all around. The staff was quite sweet and the place did start to really fill up around lunchtime...barely a seat left in the house. The owner gentleman runs the counter in the back issuing out coffee drinks with flair (that foam is something to write home about -- worth ordering a foamy drink just to enjoy the show) -- and a smile. Also, they seem to showcase the "5 quid milkshakes" quite a bit, and though it wasn't on my list for the day, seems worth a go. The folks next to us both had them and left empty glasses. Five quid actually seems like quite a lot to me for a milkshake, but perhaps they have magical powers, as milkshakes are sometimes known to do... 15 for breakfast and coffee for two, I'd call that a nice deal and rest in Camden. As cafes go - this is one of the best. Super friendly staff, good strong coffee and the interior feels a lot like my cafes back in the Mission district in San Francisco. A little cramped when full but if you're lucky enough to get a table, you can sit for hours and just get lost. Pop in for some food or just a drink, it's a nice Oasis from all the madness of Chalk Farm. read more

Inhabition isn't even a word god damn it! A hybrid of 'habitation' and 'inhabit' perhaps, both words with succinct little meanings that could lean towards preference of this coffee shop.. to 'inhabit' the coffee shop, to make going their your 'habitation'. When I am in Camden, this will probably be true! A nice garden round the back of the shop really brightens up your day in the brutal urban grime of Camden Market, and is somewhere you can sit and take your bearings. It may be because we were sitting downstairs but Inhabition felt more like a diner than a cafe. The people were nice and the service was quick but the food was just ok. Granted i didn't try the milkshakes but everything we ordered were just ordinary. I guess i would go back if i was in the neighborhood and needed to get away from the crowd, but other than that, i will probably try other places or food stalls in the area. read more

This is a great place to come when you are hungover, the breakfasts really hit the spot, Situated just opposite the Stables Market, it's a safe haven from the hustle and bustle of Camden. The staff are so lovely and friendly. (service with a smile should be made mandatory in my opinion) For a nice big breakfast I paid £6.50 which was totally worth it. Inhibition is a great café. The food is always of a high quality and the service is prompt and efficient. Try the bruschetta it is divine and big enough to share. If you really want to spoil yourself you must try their milkshakes. They are huge and taste amazing. From experience I can say the banana and strawberry flavours are excellent. The prices at Inhibition's are moderate, but the standard is high. The café is directly opposite Camden Market so if the weather is permitting, sit outside so you can people watch. read more

Lovely little cafe just off the Chalk Farm road, where the bus stop is, right across the road from Stables Market. They have the biggest (seriosly, like one litre) shakes you have ever seen, proper fresh as well. On the menu is everything you'd love as a kid, spag bol with fish fingers, proper breakfasts and if you are a veggie no worries, loads and loads of veggie stuff, last time we went my boyfriend had a spag bol with fish fingers and a banana/peanutbutter milkshake and I had a grilled haloumi cheese. Everything really cheap as well. It is very cosy and oldschool british interior. I flew in from Atlanta georgia visiting Camden for the first time and I found this cafe called inhabition with all the theatre posters on the wall and i got a sandwich and a chocolate cherry milkshake. This menu is rich enough to keep anyone happy. I have some picky friends but Inhabition keeps them smiling every time. The flavour infused hot chocolates and coffees make you feel like you're searching through 32 -flavours of ice cream instead and the milkshakes are generous in size and so tasty. The service is always reliable and if you're quick enough to snag a table outside, you are perfectly positioned to watch Camden passers by. Hmm...a place that has good reviews since before. I wouldn't want to spoil that in anyway, because it is really a nice place. The staff is really friendly, its nicely located and they probably have a lot of nice little things they serve there. I only tried the cappuccino...and that one is borderline what can be expected. Its ok, but certainly not remarkable. Its not a place you would go across town to have a nice cup of coffee (if you are in Camden I would recommend Cafe crema instead). That said, if you happen to be in the neighbourhood, its nice place to drop in for a while. read more

This is a cool little cafe! It was absolutely packed when I popped in for a hot chocolate so it must be pretty popular. The ladies waiting on everyone were pretty speedy and soon took my order. I had a vanilla hot chocolate which didn't take too long at all. It was lovely and considering it was snowing outside, it really warmed me up. The prices weren't too bad and the place was pretty basic but the atmosphere was lovely and the waitresses were very efficient! Great little place! read more

Ok breakfasts but overpriced. Unfortunately, if there's more than 3 of you, you'll probably have to sit downstairs which is a bit rubbish as it's dark and characterless. Drop in for a milkshake after wandering round the markets and sit upstairs, and it's a whole different experience. Plenty of local, free music magazines to flick through and the milkshakes are massive and there's a huge menu - you can even have avocado flavour if you fancy it. read more

Inhabition is a great cafe across the road from the Stables Market. As noted in the other reviews above, although it is right in the heart of the Camden action, it is a relaxed and homely place. The staff are very friendly and the Greek owners have that warm Mediterrean touch which I love! They serve great coffee but also yummy comfort food and lighter meals (such as soups). Their milkshakes deserve a special mention, especially the rose petal milkshake which I strongly recommend (especially in the summer when you can sit in the garden at the back)! read more

Having just come back from 3 weeks in the states, this was a fantastic reminder of what a cooked breakfast should be, and no cheese in sight! We had the full London with plenty of tea, a huge glass of juice and plentiful white toast. Just brilliant. Do not miss this place. read more

Inhabition not less than 5 stars. just have to say this place has given me a love for Cafe's. It's like a mom and pop shop with great workers. The place is fairly large and I come here to chill all the time with the nice music playing in the background. It's just something about cafe's now that makes life so relaxing I keep telling my friends that if I were to ever go anywhere in the world I will always make an effort to come back here and get a dose of my Mocha ,cappucino and cakes, Why is that? They make the foam just right (I have tried so many different places and it is just not the same). The foam is fluffy and fresh giving the coffee that extra oomph. Not only that, but the coffee is strong even though the drink is sweet, so you know it's not just filled with sugar (ahem like Starbucks) . Inhabition is right next to camden market,exactly opposite to stables market one having poster of lost elephant, so if your in camden not visited inhabitiin I am sure you have lost some precious thing. The food is delicious home based with quality of london breakfast, baked potatoes particularly chilli corn carne. The sandwiches here are awesome my favourite is salmon on it for a nice warm cream cheese bagel and a mocha. spagheti , omelette smells as your in best place while salads with olive oil remarks the essence of taste. /Nice large windows to gaze out with a ceiling providing plenty of event poster enticing to stay longer in cafe. one more where is the milkshake, huge one with lots of flavour.Best ever shake you can have,bet on that. read more

I was walking in Camden enjoying sunny Saturday afternoon having some work to do. I was looking for a cozy place where I could focus on my work, charge my phone and also enjoy a cup of coffee when I saw "Inhabition". The logo looked inviting and I thought it might be the place I am looking for. However, I was on the other side of the road and it was hard to see how does the place look from the inside. When I came closer, the member of staff aproached me. I haven't viewed the place properly, so wanted to decide myself if I want to spend few hours in the shop, but the employee seemed pretty persistent in his willing to help. Accordingly, I had to explain him what I needed. After him pointing at the table available I've decided that it's not the environment I was looking for, so I thanked him and was about to leave when he started asking me why I don't want to stay in "Inhabition" coffee shop. I was trying to explain him my reasons, but he interuped me with anger and started offending me just in the middle of the street.... Customers who were sitting outside were staring at him, but he didn't stop raging and finally told me to "piss off"... I left speechless and will never come back or bring my friends..... read more

I have been going here for years the owner is a true gent who likes to make every customer feel like they are the most important person in the place.
