The drinks were fine and not too pricey for the area. The staff were friendly and most important for us they were happy for us to bring our dog along. As it was a summers evening we sat outside on the picnic benches at the front of the pub. This also turned out to be the smoking area but as there wasn't anyone using it at the time that didn't bother us. Will certainly be heading back next time we are in the area.

A pleasant pub with above average food that is to be avoided due to appalling service. I have been…read moregoing to this pub almost every Friday since July 2011 and watched a deterioration of service over this time. I've watched customers being studiously ignored, sometimes even while wanting to settle their bills after a meal. I guess it was my turn to be ignored or even acknowledged by the staff. After 15 minutes of waiting to be even offered a drink I complained to the manager who was forthcoming in excuses about being shorthanded, when I pointed out that I had watched the service deteriorate over six months she then shifted to head office budget constraints as the reason for the poor service. With no offer of being served being forthcoming I voted with my feet and left the restaurant to find somewhere else to grab lunch with my family. A pity you have to award a minimum of one star to do a review. I'll not be rewarding consistent bad service with my patronage any longer. Update: 30 Jan 2012: Having mailed their head office from their website to complain about the service, I have not as yet received a reply.
