It immediately reminded me of my dad as he used to take me to get pie and mash often when I was a kid. It's situated in the square just past the Abbey. If you're standing in the square you'd have a job to miss it. I was surprised to see people were actually queuing to get in. This made me think it must be good. Inside was clean and spacious. I couldn't believe how cheap my meal was. With a coffee I paid under £5. The next time I find myself in Waltham Abbey with an hour to kill I'll probably head back to Tony's Pie N Mash.

Although I think she got the clue when I insistenly repeated "Are you sure you don't fancy Mcdonalds?". The Bluebell was worth it. It's a bit like The Ivy, but a more local place. It's small and has the feeling of a little cottage place. They serve traditional British meals; but they're rather perfect in their execution of cooking the meals. Not a lot to say here as the food was all top notch and I have very little to complain about. Damnit, I prefer complaining!.
