Culbert's bio and experience and when I came into the office , he exceeded my expectations. I was very nervous about spine manipulation and techniques etc. Dr. Culbert went above and beyond making sure that I felt comfortable. In addition he practices and procedures are tailored to what you need and are comfortable with. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. The office is extremely nice and comfortable. I started going for care because something went out in my neck, but I continued to go back for some low-back / SI joint pain. The chiropractor told me he wanted to see me often, but I was paying out of pocket and couldn't afford to go that frequently. Even with the discount program they enrolled me in, the cost was inconvenient. I would get adjusted, and then it would fall right back out when I stretched the following day. I hoped continued visits would retrain things to stay in place, but it began to feel like a waste of time and money. The chiropractor also seemed to have difficulty adjusting my neck, which I hadn't encountered before, so we left that alone. Frankly, I ceased making appointments. I ended up asking my primary care physician for a physical therapy referral. I figured out I have many muscle imbalances that reared their ugly heads thanks to inactivity during the pandemic. It's no wonder my adjustments weren't sticking, and I felt discomfort with some of the adjustments. I ended up in pelvic floor therapy as well because my pelvis was rotated, and each side was trying to tilt in opposing directions. Hence the low-back / SI joint pain! While I decided to stop seeking care at this facility and moved back to the lower 48, I do remember their kindness.

Upon his suggestion I've been searching for therapists that prioritize continuing education, have solid schooling and can perform myofascial massages. This is what lead me to Myo Alaska. Booking my appointment was very easy and I was able to do intake paperwork online before my appointment. The location of the massage is inside of a dermatology office off of Dimond. Parking was easy and the location was simple to find. The massage therapist Ann is very nice and she checks in with you throughout the massage to gauge pressure which was nice. Ann was able to find all of my tight spots and relieved a migraine that had been plaguing me for a couple of days. The office that the massage takes place in can be rather loud at times, which is my main complaint for Myo Alaska. There was someone down the haul receiving a treatment where they kept saying "Ow" which was somewhat unsettling.

I had been to other chiropractors, and I had been in PT on an off almost my whole life to help manage pain. I was told at age 28 I needed hip replacement surgery due to a cartilage tear and FAI hip impingement. I started seeing Dr. Lovedahl regularly and within a month I started seeing results in my pain. Today I am 100% pain free. My anxiety is gone since receiving regular care and receiving cranio-sacral therapy. She is SO kind, and invested in her patients. She actually takes time to listen, and wants to see you get better. Each adjustment is meaningful and different, it isn't just a quick snap/crackle/pop formula. She is also extremely intuitive. I'm giving this company a one-star review because of their poor customer service - not the massage…read more(we never got that far). I bought my husband a birthday present for a 60-minute massage. He was late to his appointment exactly 15 minutes (he works in Wasilla and was driving from there). We both attempted to call starting at 5:30p to let the therapist know he was on his way. When he showed up, the lights and door were shut. I received an email that was very condescending and humiliating pretty much insinuating that we looked like "scammers" (yes, she called me that). Never once did anyone call us - not one single phone call. And on the day we were late, the therapist never called or checked messages. Just left and charged us the full amount. I am appalled at the way they handled this. This isn't about the money. This is about making a new client feel down right humiliated. I'm still in shock at how rude they were in their email and the fact that they never responded back to me. Shame on you for treating a new client like this.
