I had been struggling with low back pain and constant tightness in my neck and shoulders for a while before coming in. I'm so glad I did. The office is welcoming, professional, and runs efficiently, which I really appreciated. Dr. Hanifen made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything in a way that made sense. After a few visits, I could feel a real difference. Less pain, better mobility, and I wasn't constantly thinking about my discomfort anymore. It's rare to find a place that combines professionalism, skill, and a genuine focus on patient care like this. Highly recommend. read more

I have been going to North Star Chiropractic Wellness Center for over 15 years. Dr Mike has fixed my broken body so many times from not being able to walk, sit or lay down to having trouble breathing, sleeping and some internal organs not wanting to work right. What most people don't understand about Chiropractic services is that as long as your spine is in align, then all your nerves, blood flow and other body communications will start working great again and you will feel better and work better too. I have been to other Chiropractors but Dr Mike is top notch and puts up with me and my shenanigans. I really can't say enough about him and his staff. I would rate them 10 stars if I could... Wait, I just did! Keep this in mind, if your car starts to cause trouble then you have to fix it. If you do preventative maintenance on your car it will last longer and cost less over time so your body is the same way. Chiropractors are your preventative maintenance. I have to say I enjoy Dr. Michael Hanifen DC. His staff is wonderful and the office is peaceful. I have referred my daughter, Sara Rasmussen, to this office. My other daughter already goes there. I have been a patient for some years now. read more

North Star Chiropractic Wellness Center opened in 2004 with a mission to elevate the standard of chiropractic care in Anchorage. Built on Dr. Michael Hanifen’s background as a U.S. Air Force veteran and more than two decades of clinical experience, the practice has grown from a small start-up clinic into a trusted wellness center serving families throughout the Anchorage community. My adjustment is amazing I feel fresh and ready to handle my every day tasks.
