It's not a bad thing, it's a reality everywhere. I'd guess no matter the verbiage used for the sale or promo, the actual cost shakes out to about the same at the end of the day no matter when you buy. I didn't feel pressured to commit that day or because of the promotion, and the price was about what I'd expected, As for the service itself, I'm happy with my results so far and every visit has been a good experience. On August 28th my 17 year daughter had a consultation with stylist Sena to go over an appointment…read morefor a full color of vibrant green. She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught. Although the people that work here are very kind, they do not have their clients backs. This is not a trans friendly space despite being ran by a trans women! Scheduling was always a nightmare, my skin was left damaged and scarred, and Lacey always found ways to blame me for it. Often saying I wasn't consuming enough water prior to treatments despite me basically drinking water nonstop for days leading up to the appointments. She offers a service you can't get anywhere else locally, and takes advantage of the desperation of her clients to over-bill for bad service. I heard nothing but bad things about her from multiple sources prior to treatment, but I wanted to believe it would be different for me. I'm sad to say I've heard of at least two other people since I stopped going that have had similar terrible experiences.
