We selected Landscapians for a large project based on all the 5 star reviews given. In total we spent over $8,000 with them. Communication was a constant issue. We'd have team members show up unannounced requesting access to the garage sprinkler system to having multiple text strings stating someone would be here on X day only for them not to show up. Additionally, the crew did not have someone onsite managing the project and had several questions I had to help with. Thankfully I work from home and was able to be present for much of these pop up requests and changes but if you are not readily available this would be very difficult for a homeowner. There were several errors in billing. Homeowners beware, Adrian will tell you one thing verbally but when it's time to settle he will forget those conversations. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. We had 3 double foxtail palms installed along our fence line. We told Adrian it was very important these were all of similar size since they were being placed next to one another. Unfortunately, one of the palms was much smaller than the other 2. While we should have declined that tree we ultimately accepted it as Adrian said they had gone to multiple nurseries and he couldn't find 3 that matched. The crew did not trim the excess weed barrier at the edging so when my Husband went to weed whack the frays of the weed barrier continually got stuck in his equipment. He spent quite a bit of time cutting this out from the blades. 6 weeks after the project was completed, Adrian's team did a full trim of all bushes. Unfortunately they left a substantial amount of trimmings in the garden beds we had just paid $1,500 to have remulched. Adrian's response was they have since purchased drop cloths. The last month of our service we only received 1 mow and did not have our grass treated. Adrian"s response was they had a new virtual assistant who was getting up to speed and failed to put us on the schedule. Adrian also said they do not manage weeds (what were we paying $75 monthly for??). Adrian said he would personally come out and would give ample notice. I received a text from Adrian on a Sunday morning that he would be at our house in 10 minutes. This was frustrating as we were getting ready to setup a blowup pool in our backyard and were not prepared for the grass to be treated that day. When I said something to Adrian he said we could find a new landscaper and called me a Karen. This was extremely unprofessional as I had never been rude or disrespectful in anyway. My Husband overheard this conversation and asked Adrian to leave. Adrian then threatened my Husband physically and said "I'll take you right here". Even after this incident I still did not leave a review. The final straw happened recently when one of the foxtail palms (the smallest one that we should have declined) unfortunately died. I emailed Landscapians respectfully asking if we could come to a fair solution on a replacement as Adrian verbally told me warranties were included. I even asked about a credit being established with the nursery and we could handle ourselves. Unfortunately both of my emails were ignored. I saw Adrian in our neighborhood the following week and told him about the tree. He responded saying we'd have to be on their monthly plan to have it warrantied and "that's just how it works". How can we be on your monthly plan when you cancelled us? Homeowners, I would be very careful hiring this company. They have since sold off the mowing part of their business to another company as they were struggling to keep up and are now only doing project work. From what I've heard, they also had much of their team walk off the job and I'd imagine that's largely in part to Adrian and his aggressive nature. Hopefully Adrian will improve on his customer service as our experience was far from the 5 star reviews listed.

Not sure if that was because the grass hadn't been cut 3 weeks prior to them cutting the grass or what. But the grass was not cut very short. I've never seen a lawn company leave it that tall. Once again, it could have been due to the fact that my husband hadn't had it cut in 3 weeks. Jon was super nice until he hadn't shown two weeks later and we had to hire someone else. There was confusion on both sides I imagine, but the way it was handled wasn't very professional. It left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I agreed to pay them for a service I can't even confirm they did right after we had someone else cut our grass. I am sure he saw someone had already cut the grass, but he cut it again anyway. I decided to go with a different company after that. The biggest red flag I have to share is they still invoiced us on the second grass cutting service, which I just agreed to pay since apparently there was confusion on when he was supposed to come. This was all the last week of August and the first couple of weeks in September. The end of September we got the bill for the $35 and I sent to my husband to pay. Life got busy because we moved to another city since then and the bill didn't get paid for $35. He sent me a reminder text message last Friday, 11/1 and I asked my husband if he had paid it and he said he thought he had and he was going to send me a copy of the rcpt so I could send it to Jon. I just received this text message from Jon tonight, "Hey, I hope the move went well. The payment has not been received for the service provided on the 9th of September. If that is not paid by today or I do not hear from you today: I will forward the delinquent balance to the firm my wife works for to collect on the balance. They will contact the owner of the property tomorrow and add attorney fees and late fees to the balance and place lien on the property if it is unpaid. Please advise." Turns out my husband hadn't paid the bill, he went ahead and paid it tonight. So yes, we were late. But I find the fact that he would have gone to such great lengths to wreak havoc in our lives over $35 very disturbing and a HUGE red flag. I would caution you on using them. They will bring legal action and bizarre other things to collect. Glad we only owed them for 1 yard cut. I wouldn't have wanted to establish long term lawn care with a company that will do some shady stuff if you are late. Just not worth it.

BEFORE / AFTER back yard transformation. Another 5* local experience. I promise I'm not paid for…read moremy reviews....I only review things when I'm super excited. :) We built a pool this past year and the yard needed LOTS of help. It has never grown grass or been taken care of. The previous owners kept two ponies in the back yard, so it needed a lot of love. We hired The Garden Gnome inc. after having a handful of landscapers out who NEVER actually sent a quote. What is up with that?!!? Chip and his crew were fan-effing-tastic. I cannot tell you enough good things. First, we were waiting on our pool people to finish the grading before we could get started. Chip followed up weekly to see about the progress. When his quote came in a bit high, he made appropriate adjustments to not only save us money but plan for the future and not lose the bamboo and palms that I really wanted....who knew grass would be so expensive! His guys showed up every day on time, were polite, cleaned up after themselves, played with my doggos, did daily walk throughs, and LOOK AT THIS YARD. He worked alongside ATZ irrigation to make sure everything was watered properly b/c they do not do irrigation. It is NIGHT and DAY from before. My kids now play outside in this area and I can walk barefoot if I want (though...I get scared of grass in FL....) This was not a cheap job but was well worth it as we continue to create our space. We decided we couldn't leave our front yard a ruckus, so he is coming BACK out next week to do the rest ASAP! So excited to have the whole yard done. He is even putting in a butterfly garden for me b/c I love attracting all the different butterflies and dragonflies out here! Highly recommend!

This has been dragging on for over one year!!!! Owner Chip keeps telling me he'll be out to see why side yard still fllods after charging me extra to install several french drains; HE NEVER SHOWS! Front seems to be dispersing water correctly. However, several employees changed Chip's original plans---all I know is it still ponds water along the fence after hard rain....and I paid good money and got a written guarantee the work would cure my problems!!!!! IT HASN'T..... I have charge back insurance since I paid with a credit card; but I do not like all this wasted time! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But Garden Gnome FAILED to deliver....now they disappeared after getting paid!!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DO YOU WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY IF THEY FAIL TO PERFORM.....AND THEN REFUSE TO RETURN TO FIX THEIR SUBSTANDARD WORK???? They prepare the house prior to paint day. Nooks and crannies that need attention are taken care of. They walk around the house with you, after the prep is done, to make sure you are pleased with the preparation of the house. They spend a good amount of time taping/covering up the areas that need protecting from the paint. The they paint the house, after verifying the paint colors are correct. During all of these checks the Project Manager, Ray in our case, checks the work, addresses any concerns and does a final walk through. A very professional, comfortable experience. And we felt the price was reasonable as well. We will use them the next time we need our house painted. A top notch company.
