The outside of the building doesn't have any signage indicating that the Physical Therapy of…read moreRichardson is located here. All of the doors had some university name on them. Once inside, the information sign indicated the names and locations of various businesses. PT of Richardson was among them. I have only had one visit here so far, but my initial consultation was good. I was referred here by my primary care medical staff. The facility called me as soon as they received the notice of referral from my medical team. I had been working and unable to answer my phone during business hours, but this place called and left messages several times. I appreciated their persistence. I filled out paperwork digitally prior to my appointment, but I still had paperwork to complete the day of the visit. The physical therapist seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was patient and listened to me discuss my issues. He took time to measure and evaluate my mobility and gait. On the first day, I was given several exercises to do during the session and asked to continue doing them at home for homework. It was recommended that I attend therapy at least twice a week. My evaluation was in the evening after normal business hours. The facility was brightly lit and there were several people there (front desk staff, the physical therapist, therapy assistants, and clients). Daytime appointments are also available, but it is nice that after hours are available for clients working an 8-5 job. The therapist was great at explaining the exercises and techniques to do. He watched me perform them and told me the reason behind doing each of them. I'm not sure I will have this much attention at future sessions, but the therapist did say he oversees the staff who work with each of the clients. I'll report on my progress after attending several sessions. At the moment, I have shooting pain that comes and goes in my right heel. Having had plantar fasciitis in the past, I recognized that something is a bit different this time. An Xray taken previously shows a bone spur, but perhaps neither of these or both of these along with another issue are to fault for the pain. In any case, I'm doing big toe exercises which seems completely unrelated except that the therapist explained so eloquently how the big toe can contribute to so much of the fascia issues. Fingers and toes crossed this brings some relief.

Everyone I encountered, from the front desk assistants, to the physical therapists were all professionals in every way and working only in your best interest. The equipment is sanitized after every use. Masks were required, and temperatures taken at every visit. The room is never overbooked or crowded. The therapists work with your limitations never forcing only encouraging you to do your best that day. I am definitely on the road to recovery and would highly recommend this company.

This review is based solely off of my experience trying to schedule a speech pathology assessment…read morefor my daughter. In mid December I called (during the business day) and had to leave a voicemail. My call was returned the next day by a nice woman. She explained that she would verify my insurance benefits and then schedule an appointment for my daughter. She called back a couple of days later after verifying benefits and told me that my insurance covered nothing until my deductible and out of pocket had been met, so essentially I'll be private paying. I told her that was fine. We agreed to schedule an appointment after the first of the year instead of trying to squeeze it in the week of Christmas. She said she would call back after January 1 and schedule us. Since I hadn't heard back from them I called today, January 5 and tried to schedule an appointment. I spoke to a really rude man. He would not schedule an appointment. He insisted insurance had to be verified again because it's a new calendar year, even though my insurance has not changed and I told him I would just private pay. He also told me they were unable to verify BlueCross BlueShield because of technical issues and could not tell me when those issues might be resolved. In the meantime he told me appointments were filling up quickly and I'll be added back to a waitlist. I'm really disappointed! I was not told insurance had to be verified AGAIN if I did not schedule an appointment in December. I was not told I could not schedule an appointment without verifying insurance again. Why do they need to verify insurance if I said I will private pay? Why won't they go ahead and schedule an appointment while they verify benefits? This place is a nightmare to deal with. They therapy might be great, but it's not worth dealing with their office.

As a former patient, I find it necessary to warn patients about the "hidden agenda" of their office…read moremanager who seems so preoccupied with his own agenda that the patient gets lost in the shuffle. I made a good faith effort to have a real conversation with their office manager. It was IMPOSSIBLE. Everyone in the world has insurance today. But, he refused to accept my new insurance which is actually one of the top three nationally. He said, "Cash basis only!" When I asked him to put that in writing and/or email, he refused! That's not just a problem. That is a HUGE RED FLAG! IMHO. His "cash basis only" seems like a highly unlikely scenario in 2026! Then, you should also be aware of his inability to articulate in a clear & concise manner. He says the same thing repeatedly...four of five times each!!! For example, "We are no longer independent." (five times) "We are owned by Methodist hospital." (four times) Either he has dementia and repeats things over & over again or his English is so limited that he is unable to elaborate beyond a few key phrases. If you are expecting him to actually listen to you as the patient, your expectations are misplaced. He will continually speak over you...not to convey anything new...only to force you to listen to something that he has already said. REPEATEDLY! He enjoys the sound of his own voice so much that he fails to listen at all. Failure to listen to the patient proves that he has his own agenda. That lack of respect that he shows towards the patient's input is so unsettling that I have chosen to look for another physical therapy office in our area. That won't be too difficult. There seems to be one on every other corner. I suggest that you look elsewhere too.
